The delivery drivers didn't introduce themselves, not like other delivery drivers that we have had and threw the mattress into the lounge of the newly built annexe/house for my mother in law. We have had much better service from other companies. I am telling you this only so you can improve the delivery as the bed itself was ok. It's a shame as we were going to buy an I gel mattress and bed from you with £2,200 but we are going to look elsewhere. Such a shame as the lady who sold us the bed in York was amazing.

Very helpful in store,advised us every step of the way,and nothing too much trouble. The York store had a good selection of beds. Visited in the month of April 2021, good social distancing was in place and the advisor was very helpful too. We placed the order a week later after doing some research and satisfying ourselves that we were getting the best deal. Bed is yet to arrive so fingers crossed!

The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of two, is because the bed I recently bought is very good and I was very pleased with the customer service. However, I also went to buy a new pillow a few days ago. I tried a few, and got a Dunloppillo that seemed fine. It was quite pricy (£56), but I decided to buy it as they are generally of good quality. I asked the sales person and he said that if something goes wrong, I can return it within 10 days and replace it (no refunds accepted). I found that reasonable and I bought the pillow. It is also worth mentioning that this pillow was the last one on display. I tried the pillow for two nights, and it was eventually a little too firm for my neck. I went to return it and and they said they could not accept it. I went back to buy a new pillow because I need to sleep. I tried a few more pillows, different this time, and I decided on two. However, I could not buy one of them, as it was on display. I mean, the previous one I bought was on display too! Anyways, I bought a new one and left after waiting about 10 mins for the sales person to find the barcodes so I can pay. It seemed to me that the sales people do not know what they are doing and their words do not match. I do not want to think that I have fallen victim of a sales scam as the industry has moved away from these practices a long time ago. But still. I am unhappy, and I do not think I will buy something from them again, and I will not recommend them, just because of this small issue with the pillow. I will go to another retailer instead, at least first. It seems a bit harsh, but I cannot accept being told something and then being told something else.

When we ordered the bed in store we asked if the bed will be assembled upon delivery because that was the deal breaker for us and we wanted to buy something that does not require self assembly. The lady told us it will be assembled for us. When it finally arrived yesterday the delivery personnel said it was not part of their job and we ultimately had to assemble the bed with tremendous difficulty and this is what we wanted to avoid in the first place!

The order took a long time to complete/arrive. Also when delivered the guys would not take it into the bedroom, I appreciate we are in a pandemic, but what is the difference between coming into the house and leaving everything in the hall and taking it upstairs. It is not as if they would have interacted with us doing that. Transporting a heavy bed upstairs was difficult. The bed itself is nice.

First attempt at delivery was just headboard and base - no use to man nor beast and a waste of everyone's time and energy. Second attempt, the delivery men were superb. However we were missing a caster.

Good level of service. Our sales person was very knowledgeable and seem to be able to answer our questions about purchasing a king size divan bed for our master bedroom. We eventually chose one that had a purple base and a mattress which was medium firm that had a memory foam topper.

Had a good look around Benson's for Beds, but not just for beds, it was for other great priced offerings that they had. The wife loved it, though didn't get what she was going in for in the first place, but came out with a lot of household products that have done the house proud. Staff were happy to help out on many of the products, which helped us select the right things for the right rooms.

Great service from James who didn't oversell and gave good advice which steered us towards a £600 bed (we only wanted a new pillowcase 😁). Nearby shops seemed to be run by Rottweilers who really didn't want to sell and hence failed to do so.

Situated on a great and easy to get to site on the outskirts of York with plenty of free parking without time limits the shop/ store as two floors its large but not to huge, the store is clean well laid out and well lit , they have a excellent variety of household goods , the staff are well mannered ,clean , presentable and knowledgeably, they are on hand but do not pester you. Will use this store again in the future.

Initial buying process was simple, however drawer front came badly marked, customer service took forever to get hold of and in the end they still got the replacement wrong. Still waiting on replacement 4 weeks on.
