Great customer service, offered a coffee within a minute if entering and advised 'give me or someone a shout if you need anything', no sales pitch no pressure, made to feel at ease and welcome. Once settled on a purchase it was easily dealt with as Tye took payment and arranged delivery, whilst I sipped my coffee!! Only negative, and not worthy of reducing star review, is the background noise whilst others were wrapping furniture... they could really do with some if that silent maskingtape/cellotape!! 😉

Visited Furnature Village on a Tuesday evening to look for a corner sofa. I was looked after by Victor who knew the sizes of the sofa I was interested in really well. I needed an extra section to fit the space so Victor worked out the price and checked it against the online price to make sure it was at least as good and his price was better! I ordered the sofa and had a cup of tea. It was a really good shopping experience and I got the sofa I wanted at a sensible price. Obviously not got the sofa yet I’ll update the review letting you know the rest of the experience once it arrives - hopefully on time! Thanks again Victor.

After around 18 months searching for the 'perfect' corner sofa, we decided to try Furniture Village at Clifton Moor. We were approached by Harry Warvill who offered us 'any help if we needed it' and 'tea, coffee, cappuccino' then left us to it, no pressure, no hanging around using all the usual sales chat, we felt at ease having the chance to look and we were finally able to make a decision. We called Harry over and he came to help us with our requirements, suggesting and advising but never pressuring us...what a difference to most other salesmen, nothing is too much trouble to him, his no fuss approach definitely suits us and we will definitely ask for him again with any future purchases.

Outstanding service. The sales person in Clifton Moor Store (forgotten his name!) was so helpful, not pushy but also around to advise. Very good knowledge that helped us to decide. We actually made up our mind pretty fast on a Moreno leather recline sofa and recline chair! He was so polite too. Can’t wait for our furniture to be delivered in 14 weeks.

I went to the York branch which was just over a hours drive from home as I had heard good feedback from friends. So glad I made the trip as my family and I were well looked after and the customer service was fantastic. Phil Batty, who is the General Manager, of the branch dealt with us and he was very professional, polite and he really went above and beyond to make sure we got the best deal. We were then passed over to Victor to complete paperwork etc who again made us feel at ease and was really nice not just to me but also the rest of my family. We were even offered hot drinks and cookies. If you are looking for new furniture I would definitely recommend this branch.

Can only comment on the purchase as we have not yet taken delivery but the staff were excellent and not at all pushy. We visited the store more than once before deciding to buy but they were very friendly and relaxed. Let’s hope that all goes to plan and I can award an all round 5 star.

All the staff very pleasant and welcoming. Didn't put any pressure on or heavy sales speech. Really helpful with us deciding on the type of leather to choose. Good knowledge of the products they were selling. Even better result as the delivery times are far less than alot of companies and should be here at the beginning if December.

Visited during the covid crisis on 2.12.20. Well what can I say.. as soon as I walked in it felt very inviting and comfortable. The staff were very helpful but not over attentive as to be intrusive. If there's one recommendation I can give, it would be to buy from here. The sofa range is fabulous and quality is good, but do you know the best bit? It's the staff. Warm hearted, welcoming yet very professional.

This review is based on our experience in the store at Clifton Moor, York where we dealt with Steve as we have yet to take delivery of the sofa and chairs we ordered. The reason for the 5 stars for the instore experience is that when we entered the store we weren't pounced on by any of the staff and was left to browse, it was only when we required assistance and answers to questions that we approached the staff. Steve was very helpful and answered all our questions. He was polite, well mannered and easily understood. The reason for the initial visit was due to a family friend have just purchased a suite and having seen the quality and comfort decided to see what they had that would fit our needs. I'm sure that the items we have ordered will meet our expectations and delivered without any issues.

A good price for a comfortable G Plan leather sofa. There was a wide range of furniture including 3 quality British firms. The sales consultant was super; he was easy to talk to, he had great interpersonal skills, left me to have a good browse and try out sofas, above all he was not at all pushy - this was the main reason I chose to shop at this store. Visited the York Clifton Moor store twice and was assisted by Steve, who was extremely knowledgeable about the products (wardrobes and sofa) and very professional. This store exceeded my expectations, not pushy, no sales patter and just really approachable staff, who really seem to care about providing the customer with the right product. We were well looked after and the team made buying furniture a real pleasure (I am no fan of shopping)! The products were solid and I noted that their wardrobe doors actually met in the middle, in full alignment which differed from the other well known high end retailers we had visited. All in all a great store, good staff who appear to enjoy their work environment and a positive culture throughout. Will be shopping here in the future. Highly recommended

Having initially visited a few days earlier and then going home to compare different tables online, we discovered a better on line deal. After discussing with the salesman, the offer was matched. There was no sales pressure and our order was dealt with well. We also received a much appreciated coffee.We didn’t wish to purchase on line as we prefer to deal in person. It also gave us the opportunity to try different chairs and compare. And also look at table size with one or both leaves extended. Good service.

They say patience is a virtue. I say this because I had to wait about an 1hr to get someone to help me with my order, but when he came I didn't regret the wait. Got good discounts and a fair price. Never expected that I would feel inclined to leave a review after buying a sofa but received such wonderful customer service this evening from Steve G, I felt I had to. Having visited all the other sofa stores over the course of the week, not finding what I wanted and being approached by staff who were either pushy or bored, what a difference to walk in to Furniture Village and be helped by Steve G. Not pushy at all, just warm and welcoming and knew absolutely everything we needed to know about each of the items we bought. He even made really good points and suggestions when considering different options and gave the impression that he genuinely wanted us to leave happy. Also talked with real enthusiasm about the company and the owner and it truly did make the experience a pleasure. Even when our two little girls were playing up a bit due to being tired and hungry, he was kind and understanding and gave us cookies. Met 2 salesmen over 2 visits over a few days while we were looking for a new bed. Both salesmen were really helpful and not too pushy...a difficult line I'm sure but they both came over as being interested in helping. Unlike another retailer who just tried to ridicule the Which report we were looking at your guys just took this in their stride and really tried to give us a good deal. Both my husband and i shared a wonderful experience whilst visiting Furniture Village at the Clifton Moor Branch on Stirling Road,York.The showroom was set out very professionally and tastefully, and the sales people made you feel welcome and were not pushy at all. As we were on the lookout for a sofa bed, we were directed to the ones which were available by a very friendly and knowledgeable sales guy called Chris,who helped us to decide on a beautifully made piece of craftsmanship.We were also offered a coffee/tea whilst browsing and making our minds up. There is so much to choose from in the store that you will want to spend ages just looking and dreaming about the beautiful furniture that is available. We cannot wait for our furniture to arrive and to start enjoying it and will do for years to come and we are so happy to have visited the store by chance one Sunday afternoon.

Bought a sofa on sale in December from the York clifton Moor store for delivery end of January. Great experience in store. Was given a coffee and cookies as we waited for admin to be completed. Very polite and down to earth sales man. A lady called to organise delivery, no hiccups. Email was sent to confirm date and time a few days before. Sofa arrived on time and delivery guys were great we had just decorated and they were very careful and removed shoes when they came in the house. Absolutely love the sofa fits perfect in our room and is Sooooo comfy. Overall extremely happy with our purchase 💜😊

Its taking about 6 weeks to get a dining table and cupboard delivered even though adverts usually say they can deliver by Christmas 2 weeks before hand. Lol. The guys in store were great but the wait is a bit much. Also we have just seen our table advertised at £100 less but still we have to wait for our more expensive table. :-/ Another thing is why are we receiving emails asking how furniture village is doing so far when you haven't done anything yet? We will let you know how you are doing mid summer when we finally get our stuff. ;-)

Love this shop. Got offered a coffee straight away so was nice to have been noticed plus it came with a cookie from a really nice approachable member of staff called victor who was exactly the right balance between handy on, knowing the answer to my questions straight away plus he also gave us time to wander ourselves without feeling any pressure.
