What brilliant service received from Phoenix Gas today! Many thanks to engineer Kyle who took off and replaced the cupboard housing the boiler - before and after servicing. Well recommended 😊

The boiler was fitted promptly and on time. The fitter took care and left no mess. He was friendly. The electrician - also good - who was due to follow on afterwards took a further 3-4 hours to show up because he had missed us out, but by that evening, we were firing on gas.
However, the next morning, I thought I could smell gas around the boiler in the cupboard but was not entirely sure - I should have trusted my instincts and phoned phoenix gas at that time - Friday morning. I finally did email them on Saturday morning, as the gas smell was clearly not going away. They sent a gas safety person fairly quickly and there was a leak which was easily sorted. Apparently, a nut had not been tightened on the boiler.
The boiler is great, but the experience was not as positive as it could have been with the gas leak.

Excellent from start to finish. Had a survey of the work needed carrying out, was given a really good price before surveyor left. A full system installed and old storage heaters removed. 5 star rating would recommend to anyone wanting to use this company

Our boiler broke down at the begining of March, justb as we entered a realy cold snap. Our regular plumber wouldn`t come out for 2 weeks. Called Pheonix and had a surveyor out next day and a new boiler fitted within 7 days. Very happy with the work, woukd recommend to anyone.

I have been asked if I would mind leaving a review, If you are reading this then like me you are probably wondering how accurate these reviews are, here goes an honest account.
First contact ; Very friendly professional customer service, a sales man Ryan was sent within two hours of my enquiry, He was friendly, informative and wore a mask a much appreciated bonus in current times.
It was explained our boiler needed replacing asap and we were advised that there was space on Monday and the customer service team would be in touch. Within 2hours we had a call advised what we would like to go ahead the appointment for Monday had gone but we were offered Thursday.
On Wednesday we received confirmation that everything was set for Thursday and the engineer would be with us between 8-9. On Thursday the engineer arrived on time, He was really professional got on with the job no problems at all wore a mask was polite and friendly and left the place spotless. He showed us how to turn the heating up and down and also the water.
He further advised that the electrician would be arriving soon to fit the thermostat and receiver for the app controlled bit.
The Electrician arrived quite a bit later he appeared to be in a rush, He had another man with him neither wore a mask despite me advising when they needed to speak to me that I would get my mask. When he advised he had finished I asked if he could show me how the app works also to see that the boiler was receiving it and it was working. He advised me which app to download whilst it was doing this he received a personal call and went out the other man advised he was his driver as his van had broken down the day before and it was the garage on the phone. When he came back in I asked for a number that was needed to put in for the app to work he provided me with the number and it came up with some message at that point he said oh must need an update (even tough only just downloaded) and that can take an hour here is the instructions and left the leaflets and went. Yes he left the place tidy.
However on then trying to try the app and pair it according to the instructions which were not that clear I noticed the receiver was actually put on upside down and I still couldn't get the receiver to talk to the thermostat etc.
On the Friday I phoned Phoenix and advised of the good service and the disappointing bits I was advised a manager was in the area and he would call in and look at the whole job. On arrival Friday pm he said the boiler was done ok apart from some overflow pipe which was ok but should have been changed and that he would get that changed. I advised it was the pairing of the devise and that the receiver was upside down I needed help with, at this point I was advised he didn't know how they worked and he would get the electrical department to come back out.
On Monday I received a call from Male a different customer services department asking how it all went I said was there nothing on my notes and explained again. She said she was sorry and would chase it up I was advised a electrician would be sent Friday afternoon to run through it all and turn the receiver the right way, Friday came and Friday went and no one arrived I phoned the office Saturday to find the office was closed til Monday. On Monday I phoned and that there was no appointment booked for the electrician on the previous Friday so I explained again and was asked to send a picture in of the upside down receiver still no working paired app and no electrician coming. I eventually asked someone who knew about these boilers to help and have go it paired and working which was actually rocket science and im not a thick individual all my computers and printers work through wifi and apps. I phoned Phoenix today Friday and advised I hadn't sent the picture as I had been well following the vaccine to advise it was sorted and they advised thank you for letting them know any problems they are there, I said I wasn't happy with the level of service received apart from the engineer, after asking I received one free service.

Easy on-site quotation process. A competitive price. Lewis and his team of installers did a cracking job over two days switching out a gravity-fed system to a combi. Attention to detail, for example, matching brickwork to plug the old flu hole. All in all first class.

I've had huge problems with the combi boiler for more than two years - since March 2019, where the hot water run out after a few minutes and the boiler pressure kept dropping. I'd almost given up hope of ever having hot water again and resigning myself to cold baths and hairwashes, until -after innumerable visits with no lasting resolution - they sent Dan their lead engineer, a few weeks ago. To cut a VERY long story short the problem was calcification in the main radiator with the result that the outlet for the water had almost closed up resulting in cold water. I can't explain how grateful I am to Dan for solving the problem!! Thanks so much,Dan! It's been nearly a week so far and the water is really hot!

Dean B from phoenix gas installed our boiler a few months ago now and the whole process has been pain free and easy. The job was done at short notice, at a good price, very quickly and Dean did a brialliant job. Not only this, he also went through the instructions with us for general running and when we had a small issue, they got Dean back out within 48 hours to rectify it for us. The girls in the office were also helpful, overall very happy we chose Phoenix gas and would deffinetly recommend Dean!

Domestic Boiler service: engineer arrived in face mask and was considerate where he placed toolkits and what he made contact with round the boiler and general kitchen. Absolutely fantastic company. They installed our Vaillant Combi boiler last year. Very professional and friendly team. Boiler broke down today. The best!! Cannot fault the job done for me, don t know why I put up with my vintage boiler for so long. I was given three scenarios and quotes, as I changed from a usual old boiler to a combi, had it moved upstairs into the airing cupboard as was. So lost the eyesore in the kitchen , got the biscuit tin flue moved to a chimney on the roof, and the slow trickle of hot water out of my taps upstairs were made normal. I had been washing in cold water as it took so long. What a nutter I was!! Also no need for the power shower... saving money there.
So, a lovely neat job done, no mess, a good price , I was quoted almost double by BG 4 years ago, just for a straight swap. !! I cant wait for the colder weather so I can test out the auto controls on my digital thermostat. I think I must of had the whole staff down over 2 days doing different jobs. The brickwork outside was an almost perfect neat match!! All my visitors get a tour I m so chuffed with the work. So thanks to all that came and sorry I cannot remember your names, I think it was Dave?? team, It was a fabulous job done and I shall recommend you every time ...

Great company, turned up when they said they would, professional quote, which had no hidden extras, got you on the right track by offering first years service for free. Had quote for new boiler on Monday turned up on time said he would email the quotes in about half hour spot on happy with the price they said they could fit us in on Thursday which was great because old boiler packed up only cold water engineer turned up 8 Thursday morning left him to it come back from work job done hot water plus central heating would highly recommend them 👍👍
