Fantastic day out we WILL be going back, good all weather the play area, was very good we all enjoyed it even the biggest kids in us ( 59+ only old in body)
All the staff are friendly and helpful one of the best days out we have had for a long time , if the weather is not with you this is still a fantastic I personally think you need 3 hours to do it all. Including the little train only takes 10 minutes but the little ones absolutely adored it
If it had been possible I would have given it more than five stars.
It is obvious that a lot of thought and effort has gone into the layout

The second time I've visited, however, it has been years. First of all, admission prices, it is quite steep considering it's quite a small location with limited attractions.
We were there for approximately 2 hours including the train and pony ride. The animals look well looked after and are clearly used to the public and were social with guests, pony ride was amazing and the lady who staffed the area (she had blue hair) was lovely!
Very limited on food choices and drink choices and not much room to sit and eat. Will visit again once the renovation has been done, but for now it's a little pricey for what it is. Daughter did really enjoy herself though and for that can't complain 🙂

Brilliant place to visit been a few times before refurbishment love the new soft play train and mini golf. Park outdoors picnic benches and animals to see baby goats were funny watching them play. Animals look well looked after nice and clean.
D. H.
Nice farm to go to. Massively improved since my last visit. Still building a huge soft play area there. Will be great when finished. Train around the farm was good for the kids. Animals were about in the fields for you to feed.
L. V.
Amazing Place to take kids and anyone who love animals. Very well setup with a train ride through the middle of the park. It is not a BIG BIG establishment but big enough to see your regular farm animals which is what we wanted. Had a great day out with indoor play areas aswell to keep kids entertained and a cafe to make sure no one goes hungry. Plenty of parking too!!
N. B.
Fantastic day out for the family. Lots of farm animals. Pony rides. Outdoor and indoor play. Train rides and crazy golf. Hot & cold food & drinks, plus snacks. Great fun.

Cefn Mably has changed a lot over the years I have not visited in 10 years and its still friendly and warm with lovely staff. Although I feel its lost its uniqueness and had become more commercialised and not as many animals to see its still a nice time out but no longer a day out.
S. D.
Such a beautiful day. Perfect for kids, indoor and outdoor play. Loads of animals for children to see. Even a little train to go around the park. Pram friendly.
Amazing price for tickets

After the floods which devastated the Park at the beginning of 2020, they have come back stronger. Loved the new train and the food was just as good as it was before. Loved the new soft play, which was even better than the last one. Looking forward to when it's completely back up to strength, with a bigger cafe, new farm shop and a few more features.
D. T.
Really fun place to visit a specially with your children. It's got a lot to offer from open spaces, big outdoor playground, mini train ride, mini golf, café, huge indoor soft play area and of course lots of farm animals to pet and feed including bunnies, guinea pigs, ponies, pigmy goats, chicken, pigs ect
There's also great sitting indoor and outdoor areas. My 4 year old son absolutely loved it!
S.
The weather was very inclement and times exceedingly heavy we wondered whether we should go or not? As we had prepaid for the tickets. It was fantastic the weather cleared and a lot of the animals without raising it was a really good experience. But having said about the rain there is a extensive indoor play area and a large roofed section , And if you go to Wales expecting to stay dry then you could be deemed pillock .

I love the farm park. Good service friendly staff. So good play ground for kids. A great place for kids. A nice trip train. Alot of parking available.
E. C.
The children absolutely loved Cefn Manly Farm! They had lots of fun playing crazy golf and really enjoyed the train ride. They really liked the park which had lots of interesting things to play on. My nephew particularly enjoyed playing on the tractors. We were able to feed lots of donkeys, goats, ponies and sheep which was a lovely experience. They also had a petting area where we were able to stroke guinea pigs. There were lots of hand washing stations around which was brilliant as you were never far from one to wash your hands after feeding and touching the animals. I have taken one star off because they could do with more toilets. There was a queue most of the time which could be a problem if you have a child desperate to go. I also think the food was over priced and could have been a bit more interesting. Other than that, we had a lovely day and the children really want to return!
M. D.
Fantastic day out plenty to entertain the kids, toilets were very clean. Cafe is great, would of been nice to see a gift shop whilst leaving but overall very impressed we will definitely be back.
A. C.
First time coming here and I have to say I'm very impressed and will be coming back!!
Staff were so kind and lovely. The animals are well cared for and we got the chance to buy food to feed them. Loved there was plenty of places to wash all our hands
The train was fab which you can buy on the day or before online.
Would highly recommend
K. W.
Very good place to visit, and our kids 6 and 2 loved everything there. Would have been a 5 star if the building works wasn't going on, maybe keep building work for week days has more visitors on weekend. Will 100% be visiting again.
D. T.
A decent afternoon out with the family.
First off I did feel the cost was a bit high with the extra charges for the train and food for the animals. There were a decent amount of animals to look at but I would expect a bit more to be honest.
The place has been renovated due to lats years floods and it does look good with a new park for the children.
You could drag you time out if you wanted but I could see that it wouldn't take long to work your way through the farm and feel short changed. There's very little other than the park, train and animals to look at.
The places was clean, and setup well.
Plenty of parking space.
There's wasn't a whole load of staff there.
Toilets were clean and plenty of clean stations around to wash your hands.
J. J.
Fantastic Day out with My Son & Grandson , plenty to do and see for all ages , cheese burger & chips was very tasty too . Well worth a visit and reasonably priced 👨🏼🦳🤠👶🏻
S. B.
A really lovely place for kids to have fun and interact with animals. You can pay extra for pony rides, I recommend booking those asap as the places go quickly. The train is lovely and the huge indoor play area! Great for under 3's too as they have a large separate play area. The cafe is nice and spacious with lots of seating all the way around the climbing frame and outdoor seats too. My only concern was for the poor guinea pigs in boxes on the small tables. It was hot when we went and hours had passed and the same guinea pigs were still in the boxes with only a carrot, no shelter or water. Guinea pigs get scared easily and need shelter. There was also no staff near by watching visitors or kids with the guinea pigs. A few time I thought the box was going to go over and the guinea pig would fall out! This really needs to be staffed and guinea pigs rotated.
L.
Fantastic place to go with kids, but it is expensive considering you will pay for the train and Mini golf tickets (£3 each) on top of your entry ticket (£8)
I spent one hour and it was a very expensive hour at the farm I dont think that I will be returning again. Could be a nice place however this is expensive for a family.
A. E.
Just a great day out for the family. It's got everything you want from a farm park. Well worth a visit.
D. C.
A lovely place to visit with the kids, great play area too. Staff are very friendly and the food is really great. A fab day out.
C. W.
Lovely little farm with a good variety of animals, kids really enjoyed meeting them all and feeding them. We loved the train ride too. Outdoor park has lots of benches for us parents to sit and watch, indoor soft play was enjoyed by the kids, a decent size. I'd recommend taking a picnic as hot food and drinks were quite costly and not worth the money.
A. A.
Kids love it there, very nice place to spend a good day and create some lovely memories out there.
C. B.
A lovely day out with my 2yr old Granddaughter.
She loved the animals, the train ride, the freedom to walk around the park and use the outdoor play area. Perhaps the indoor soft play area could include more for the under 5's ?
Lovely indoor cafeteria. We visited over a bank holiday, so it was very busy but we got a table & didn't have to wait too long for food to arrive🐖🐄🐓🐇🐑🦆
R. H.
First time back since the devastating floods and all I have to say is WELL DONE TO EVERYONE!!!
Think I had more fun than my 5 year old boy! 😅
Massive sand play area which my boy loved.
Was his first time on a Pony Ride which he enjoyed aswell.
Animals look well looked after.
Good entry and exit system in place along with signs due to COVID-19.
Love coming here.
Polite and friendly staff.
J. L.
Lovely farm. Great play areas. Lots to keep you entertained.
N. R.
Such a clean please, I highly recommend. Is not so big, but enough for children to play, enjoying de animals and feeding them.We enjoyed this little farm today :-)))
G.
Lovely family destination. Interact and feed the animals including donkeys, alpacas, goats, sheep, horses, cows, pigs and guinea pigs, rabbits etc. The whole facility recently reopened and has had extensive rebuilding and new attractions. A huge softplay area and cafe - shortly a new shop to be added too. A train around the grounds runs every half an hour. Good parking.
A. R.
What an amazing place!!! Great location, atmosphere and experience...
Perfect for children and adults.
Very polite staff!!!
D. W.
Absolutely amazing Santa experience! My boy absolutely loved the train ride and how magical it felt on the platform.
e. k.
great place. worth the money. the staff are very friendly
A. A.
We visit regularly and I've only given four stars rather than my usual five as there was a lack of activities and animals. I understand there have been issues with covid etc but it was pricey for what we got. That said we love the farm and will be back soon
C. B.
We have been here several times, it is so much better now as they have massively renovated the place...kids always have fun here 😀
H. P.
Nice place to visit for the family it's a bit pricey would be nice if they did offers for family's or a reward card. It was nice too see them open again after they were flooded. It's Covid safe, friendly staff and you can see they are still doing work to make it bigger
S. M.
Superb afternoon out with the kids. They loved the park, sandpit, train and the animals. Plenty to do and feel we got our moneys worth.
R. B.
The weather was fantastic not too hot 🤩 and not raining ☔ buying the feed the animals is a novel idea as the farm don't have to feed them but it does mean they come close to you and the animals want to see you.
My children had a fantastic day the train running a little bit late because the driver didn't realise the time it was just like being at work it would have been nice if it went round twice so you can get the view from side
L. B.
Awesome place to take kids and big kids too. Plenty of animals to pet and feed. We'll throughout route through the farm. Well sized park with plenty of benches and with shade.
Clean and tidy.
C. E.
Lovely well cared for animals, very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend
K. D.
Lovely day out! Lots of animals around the whole farm. Would definitely recommend the train - it was the favourite part of my nephews visit.
C. D.
Nice place, not very well sign posted. The post code takes you to a farm that had a sign: "This is not Mably Farm". Newly refurbished softplay. It's quite a small place, but very pleasant. Nice playgrounds, flat and accessible.
A. P.
Great soft play, plenty of inside and outside activities. Some activities cost extra (pony ride, train etc.). I just wish the cafe didn't have metal chairs scraping on concrete...
z. a.
Brilliant, nice and cheap except the food, new facilities with outside wash facilities and hot driers which was good, the inside play area is bigger then most, again very good, liked that it wasn't too big, easy to get round, will give the train a miss though as your meant to walk around.
J. C.
Visited with the family, we all enjoyed it and the train ride is really good, only reason for 4 stars is the food prices are very expensive, £4.50 for a tray of fries is absurd, not sure if they were sprinkled with gold. However everything else was good.
F. S.
Lovely place...plenty of animals to feed and pet...great place for kids and adults...wonderful outdoor and indoor play areas. Fun day out with family
S. K.
Lots of aminals to interact with, a massive indoor soft play and outdoor play are too. We enjoyed the train ride. Lovely day out
J. C.
Excellent day out, great for the kids. It has been done up lovely, great new train ride and the animals are so friendly. Can t wait for the soft play to opennext week.
L.
Welcoming, warm and friendly farm park. You can enjoy a combination of being outside with animals and then inside jumping in a soft play. Nice cafe. And the best ever real Santa with his i-wish-they-never-end stories. Overall, you feel the staff does their best to create comfort for their visitors.
J. H.
Great day out for the little ones and grown ups. Nice food, our 2 year old loved it and especially the train and pony ride.
S. H.
Had a fab day here with my grandson ... thoroughly recommend only down side was the baby changing facility .. you had to queue with other toilet users as there were only 2 toilets ...I know they were doing more renovations there so maybe this will improve
c. w.
Took my 2 yr old and 17 year old plenty to do for them and they loved the animals, train ride and big soft play, shame there are no pony rides anymore but will definitely go bk
N.
Great place for the whole family but the extras such as the train and the crazy golf add a great deal more on top of the admin price along with the charges for the rides. Cafe is not cheap either.
S. W.
Great value for money - train did break down but they were very apologetic - didn't bother trying for a refund as am sure they are more than grateful for every penny at this time and it was only £3
A. T.
Amazing day out for the little ones with huge soft play area animals look well and happy and staff was great all round good day out
N. S.
The most beautiful place to family , amazing park , very clean and tidy, lovely staff and helpful , many things to do for child , very pleased to go there , very enjoyable , excellent management , luxury place ever thank u
d. C.
A good place to take your kids loads to do clean and safe environment . Animals have a good life as look healthy and tame will defo visit again
S. D.
Lovely day out with small kids. My granddaughter lived feeding the animals and happily ran ahead to see what was next
M. S.
An absolutely lovely day out for kids the indoor soft play, cafe and farm shop would be enough on their own but the outdoor farm, park and petting zoo push this way into 5 star territory and the staff are super friendly as well. What a great day out.
A. G.
Fantastic place. Loved by the kids and the adults. Loads of animals to feed. Nice picnic area and outdoor play area. Then we finished off inside with a coffee while the kids went wild in the indoor play area.
S. M.
Fantastic day out with the kids! Plenty of space to run about and the animals have lots of room in their enclosures. They’re clearly well looked after and happy. Indoor and outdoor play areas very good and clean. Food served is reasonably priced and picnic areas outside if you want to bring your own food! Petting area catered for small children which is lovely and the option to buy food for the larger animals is popular for us. Can easily spend a few hours here on a warm day. Highly worth a day here.
E. R.
We love this farm and little ones have a brill time so much to do and so many lovely animals 😁
R. B.
Lovely day out with my grandchildren. Animals are very well cared for. Lots to do. Great food and play area too.
K.
Our 2 year old boy loved this place. Had his first pony ride here. Loved the train ride and feeding anything that moved. Ducks, Cows, Chickens, Pigs, Goats, Pony's and Donkeys are all there and much more. Parking is great. However it's loose gravel. There's concrete path all the way around. Lanes winding to get there but what more could you expect from going to a farm. Staff were lovely. Tickets are provided for train ride and pony ride when you purchase which is in turn handed in at the activity itself. More is being done to the farm which will include a large soft play and cafe. Overall we had a great day.
n.
Visited here yesterday with my 2 year old! Lovely place to go for a few hours and found plenty to do. I'm sure once the new building is finished it will be even better and we will most definitely visit again once this has been finished. Food was tasty and pizzas were priced fairly well I think.
I do unfortunately have a few negative comments, one of the staff members on reception/food ordering was rather rude and not at all friendly! Bit of a shame! And we found the price for the train not particularly justifiable, you have to pay £3 per person (over 18 months old). The train ride itself was great and my 2yr old loved it. But if you really want to charge, then I think it would be more acceptable to charge £3 per carriage instead of per person! They must be raking it in for that train.... a family of 4 giving them £12 for a few mins train ride round the grounds.
All in all, good day out and we will visit again for sure!
M.
Great place for the kids, they can feed and brush guinea pigs, feed all the farm animals, play outside on the play equipment and there's a indoor activity play area right by the cafe so you can have a cuppa while they burn themselves out. Great parking, friendly staff. Great day.
p. l.
Great family day out.. The whole place is new... Clean and safe... Friendly staff.
M. M.
The farm park is perfect for toddlers and young kids! The animals are super friendly so you can feed them without worry, and there are lots of hand washing stations to keep healthy.
They have pony riding, mini golf, train rides, petting zoo and park rides (like swings) for babies all the way up to 15 year olds.
The area is flat, which is great for wheelchairs and buggies, and there are loos and a cafe on sight.
The staff are super friendly, and the food is lovely. They have vegan options too which was great for our milk-free little one!
K. G.
Nice little farm to spend a few hours, you can feed the animals, have pony rides £2. There's an adventure playground outside and soft play inside. A little cafe serves food at reasonable prices and a farm shop selling toys and fresh meat. £6.50 entrance fee per person during school holidays
J. M.
Took our grandson for a special day out...and it definitely was special. With wonderful activities, pony rides train ride and wonderful array of very well cared for animals. Lovely food and snacks all looked after by exceptional staff members. Would recommend Cefn Mably Farm Park for a visit
C. G.
Wasn't as good as I was expecting but I think it's still a work in progress with building work going on around the park. We still enjoyed our visit and had some french fries which were delicious! Be aware, the only seating available is park benches. They are solid and it feels safe perching on one side without fear of tipping, but if you need a chair with a back on it you should bring your own deck chair.
J. (.
We had a lovely afternoon at the farm. The animals are really friendly and its very clean. We look forward to returning again once building works are complete. Lost a star as it does need more toilets, as there are only 4 for the whole place as far as I could see. Drinks are also very overpriced.
M. B.
its a good day out for families with children.will be even better once they have finished rebuilding parts that were damaged by the floods
L. C.
We had a fabulous time on our family day out at Cefn Mably farm park. The online booking was quick and easy and I was so impressed with the work they have done since the floods and even though there was lots of work still going on it didn’t spoil our day. The staff were helpful, happy and worked hard. Lots to do for the children, a lovely walk around looking at the very well kept animals. The wide flat paths made it easy for the buggy, the parks are great with a lovely big sand pit, crazy golf and a lovely train ride. I was impressed with the organisation in the cafe, and the food was delicious. I’m really looking forward to visiting again soon and can’t wait for what it will look like after all the work has finished. Well done Cefn Mably farm. 😊
B. A.
Visited for the second time - lovely little park, great for kids. My toddler loved feeding the animals and the train ride. It was quiet as we visited during term time.
Knocked a star off because the food menu is pretty poor and they could do with investing in proper coffee/beverage facilities. Very poor vegetarian/vegan consideration too.
Also, the ongoing work is understandable but perhaps the foreman could speak to their team about the language of their workforce.. Swearing openly around young children wasn’t ideal…
D. L.
Took my 1 year old here and he really enjoyed seeing the animals and playing in the soft play area I would highly recommend
O. A.
Wonderful place for families and kids, im glad i visited. Had wonderful time and better than expected. Ended being tired for enjoying too much. Price is very good for what is offered. Also there is a restaurant for something to eat.
K. G.
Reasonably priced with a few different things to do that entertains young children. From a hands on experience with animals to mini golf. Food was also delicious and a great price.
N. T.
First time here, it's a lovely little place to take the little ones. Great soft play area for the toddlers and the animals, mainly sheep, goats and donkeys are so gentle the kids can feed them pellets. Very reasonable entrance fee. Would definitely recommend
J.
Came here for a visit with my little one over Easter. Haven't been here in a year or so, so wanted somewhere to go that wasn't going to be too busy.
This place is a great morning/afternoon out for the family and has lots of things to keep little ones occupied. There are lots of animals here including birds, goats, sheep, horses, guinea pigs etc. Little ones are able to have guinea pigs on their lap and are given a little brush to brush them with. This is nice.
Entry price on the day for us was £7 each because it wasn't term time. We didn't stay for food as from what I remembered last time it was kind of expensive.
Overall this is a nice place to visit, would have to be nice weather to get the most enjoyment out of the farm as the majority of the animals are outside. Parking was ok, even on a bank holiday, and was free.
There is also a farm shop here where you can buy bits and bobs and things grown on the farm I believe. Another thing for little ones is an indoor play area near the café which is good.
C. S.
Limited facilities. Just 4 toilets for a very crowded park. £8 just gets you entry and it's the same price for adults and children. Every activity requires extra payment. If there was soft play I didn't see it. A lot of the toy tractors were broken and very little to play with in sandpit area. An extra £3 for train ride, same for mini golf and pony ride. That said it's a lovely place to visit, pizza was very good.
D. W.
Great day out for all the family. Our 11 month old Daughter loved the interaction with the animals.
M. M.
Lovely place.. a its a nice farm with friendly animals. Nice place to take a picnic and watch the animals live happily. Love all the animals theyre so cute. A lot of people say its over priced, but it goes towards feeding those animals. They're well looked after.
L. L.
Lovely. Nice day out with the little ones. Amazing food too. Chips are stunning and not too expensive for a farm shop type place. Animals well cared for too.
G. C. w. w.
A lovely day out..plenty to do for my 5 Yr old and 19 months old grandaughter..being 19 months she just missed out on getting in free..I really think this age limit shd be raised to 2yrs.
J. W. (. K.
Fantastic day out especially if you have children, huge outdoor park had plenty of activities for toddlers up to juniors and they also had crazy golf which was great.
Staff were really friendly and helpful and the parking situation was a breeze.
Unfortunately we didn't order food as we took a picnic but from what I saw the kitchen to table speed was QUICK and the food looked lovely.
Will update on my next visit as I will definitely be attending again.
S. N.
Absolutely great day out here on our visit to Wales can spend a good day here petting farm feed the animals pony ride inside play area.
Decent food and reasonable also in the restaurant. Highly recommend
D. O.
Undergoing renovations recently but the place is great for kids, has loads of various activities although the mini gold needs serious refurbishment and repair
H. J.
What a lovely experience we had. Fabulous set up with all aspects of the farm. Efficient booking in system, social distancing all adhered to and very clean and litter free zones.
Well maintained and good prices in the cafe area. Both hot food and cold snack menu very nice.
Enjoyed a lush slice of carrot cake with a cappuccino, hubby has Victoria sponge & mocha whilst daughter and granddaughter shared a tray of chips which were well cooked with skins on....very nice and not greasy.
Enjoyed the little train ride thro the park...twice and well priced.
Loved all the animals and park area.
Excellent parking and will definitely return again.
L. P.
My 15 month old loved his day there! Really friendly for toddlers and lots to do
S. J.
Best farm about, defo recommend to any families as it's brilliant for the price and plenty for the kids to do.
N. T.
It's a lovely place and well worth a visit, echoing other reviews it is expensive given the size and range of activities, which is the only downside
R. Y.
A lovely place for toddlers with loads to do. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
a. p.
As a family qe loved it plenty to do food is fresh animals are lovely and staff defo coming again xx
H. W.
Whilst it is a bit expensive, if you plan ahead you can easily get your money's worth here. £22 for 2 adults and a2 treat old but a great day out. You can being a picnic and easily spend 4 or 5 hours here.
D. P.
Great place for a visit some lovely animals watch out for the very cute white horse with one eye
N. C. (.
Always lovely to visit. Small animals to hold and pet plus feeding of larger animals, e.g. goats, sheep (extra small charge for food). Outdoor and indoor play equipment on site with age/height guidelines so the little ones can play safely away from the older ones. Quite a few tractor ride ons, very popular with my son aged 10. Lovely cafe and shop. Have been here several times over the years and will continue to return.
C. D.
Our kids had the best time today. Loads has changed since we were last there, and although there is refurbishment going on there was still loads to do. The train and Pony ride were particularly lovely!
All the staff were great too. Diolch Team Cefn Mably :)
T. F.
Very well presented, staff very helpful, enough animals for children to experience.
A great play area for the children to run about, climb, swing etc. They are in the process of building an indoor area which will great when finished, this hasn't impacted the facility at all as its all fenced off. There are an abundance of wash stations and hand sanitiser for use.
l. C.
Had a fabulous day here the staff was lovely and the animals looked well cared for.
K. M.
Cefn Mably is a great place to take little ones and big ones! There is loads to do and see this place is great for school trips and fun days out!!! 😀👍🏻
S. G.
Always a fun experience. Plenty of room to move around and gorgeous animals. Cafe right in the centre of things which is always good. A lovely train ride through the centre of the park is a beautiful addition since their rebuild following the floods of 2020.
H. G.
Great for kids plenty of space even during busy times!😊
S. K.
Indoor soft play has now reopened! Great indoor and outdoor space for children.
J. C.
Brilliant place to take your kids also not too expensive
M. C.
Great family day out, children loved it
J. O.
Our kids love it here, but entry is quite expensive
K. W.
Lovely place to visit. We had a nice experience petting and feeding all of the animals, enjoyed food from the cafe and my daughter loved the soft play.
R. S.
Great day out for the family ~ Lots to see & do with all the animals, pony ride, train ride, soft play, etc.
T. P.
Very much enjoyed our visit but it really is extremely expensive for what’s there at the moment. I appreciate they have had a really difficult year (& we had never visited before so can’t compare) but it cost us nearly £50 without food/drinks for 3 adults and a toddler and really it was a couple of hours experience. Might be better value when the indoor activities open but we’ve certainly been to similar places with more to do and spent less. Can’t say we’ll be rushing back unfortunately.
L. N.
It's a great place to take your kids. Was expecting to see more animals but my 14 month son still really enjoyed the few hours we were there. Currently they are undergoing refurbishment so it will be even better once that is completed
N. B.
Brilliant santa again this year. My son loved the train and pony rides.. would recommend to anyone to take your little ones to Cefn mably..
R. M.
Amazing last minute day out. Will be returning 👍 great place.
R. L.
Wonderful place with a great atmosphere. Fab events at christmas, the food is great and if it starts to rain there is always plenty to do under cover. The farm shop is a bonus for treating yourself to something tasty. Held back one star as it seems to be expanding very fast and as a result its becoming a little expensive.
u. u.
Blessed with a sunny day after a week of rain. Kids lived playing outdoors. They fed the animals and we took loooots of photos showing then having the best time! The new train was a hit!! And don't get me started in the crazy golf!!! We loved the hot food and ice cream perfect place for the summer.LoL. The kids had a ball! Wonderful stuff. Thank you and we will be back!!
N. R.
Good but not as good as it was 3-4 years ago
As others have said you pay the entry fee but then you have to pay for other things. This is ok, I wouldn’t expect mini golf to be free but would be nice if train was included in this price, I’m not sure why they’ve spent so much money and effort on the train because it probably isn’t making much of a profit, not in the short term anyway
I’m sure once building work is complete it will be worth the money again
E. J.
Fab, fun 4 hours with our 2 year old granddaughters, highly recommended for all ages!!
S. F.
This super park is currently underway with major improvements following the recent flood damage. The park area has been completely refreshed with a new ride on train feature. A new shop and cafe are being constructed ,meanwhile the park is fully operational. The train is fantastic
B. E.
Lovely place for children! Only downside was the cleanliness and lack of toilets.
C. E.
A little disappointing, it appears there's less to see apart from the train ride around the park and the crazy golf. There's a marquee set up with picnic tables for food , hot and cold, pretty good. There seems to be alot of building work going on , not sure what the long term plan is. Spent a few hours there , the kids did enjoy the outside play area .
A. F.
Not as big as I'd imagined and no indoor play although I think that's a work in progress after the floods they unfortunately had.
It was a hot day with little shade due to lack of indoor activities, we'd hoped to stay a full day but found it difficult as did everything twice before lunch.
Not sure I'd go again but it was super clean around the farm but they were too busy to clean the picnic benches which was a shame during these covid times.
G. H.
Shame to give this place 3 stars after the awful 18 months they've had but quite simply at present it's not worth the admission price.
£30 for a family ticket which excludes the train (not running on day we went) or golf the new additions since the rebuild.
We dragged the stay out just over 2 hours but a large chunk of this was spent in the park area.
My daughter used to love the petting corner and the birds neither of which have been reinstated.
I wasn't expecting it to be fully back to where it was pre flood but i do feel dropping the admission or including either the train or golf in with the ticket would represent better value.
J. W.
We visited after the floods and the new building (including soft play) was under construction. The facilities are really good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the animals are definitely very well looked after however as other reviewers have said, it is very expensive, hence the three star rating.
I'd say that walking at a moderate pace, it would take you no more than 10 minutes to walk around and see all the large animals such as the sheep, cows, alpacas, pigs and ponies and the entry price for myself and my two children was £24. The children's park is great, with things for older and younger children and we did manage to drag out a lot of time here to get our money's worth. To be honest, other than petting the three guinea pigs that were out or walking around again, there was very little else to do that did not cost money.
The train ride cost us £9 (£3 each) and lasted around five minutes. I could get a return ticket from Pontypridd to Cardiff Central for less than £9!
I'd recommend visiting Amelia Trust Farm, instead as prices are much more reasonable and there is just as much to do, if not more.
All in all our day cost £52 including entry free, food, train and animal food and we stayed for around 3 and a half hours because we had simply run out of things to do. A group of four or five people could easily spend £70 or £80 here.
I. J.
Call in for coffee very busy nice place to take the kids to see the animals
A. J.
Not overly big but a lovely park! Great facilities! My 2 year old had the best day! Definitely worth getting the train ticket to see the park.
A. k.
Lovely small farm for the young ones.
Good to spend a day or half.
S. J.
Lovely clean farm park. Not huge which means you can comfortably see it all. Lovely play ground areas, train ride and lots of animal feeding opportunities. Pram and buggy friendly - paths rather than dirt tracks!
M. N.
Myself and my kids loved there, a perfect day out for family.
R. E.
Brilliant day out , lovely food and amazing for the kids !!!
E. J.
My kids love it, but for me it's so expensive, by the time we'd done entry fees, crazy golf, train ride, pony ride, we're over £65. That was before any food. Toilets had run out of Toilet paper.
J. T.
Lovely location, nice and clean and friendly staff
...but very expensive for what you get, and added cost on top for the extras (crazy golf, animal feed, train). The children were board after 30 minutes, and disappointment as the train wasn't running. Not very good value for money.
c. j.
Enjoyed the well laid out accessible areas. Grandchildren loved it. Seems well organised for Covid. Menu limited but good., would have liked some healthier options. Can't wait until all up and running again. Will definitely be back.
t. g.
Been once might come agian live this place very amazing my daughter loves it too
L. D.
Clean and well run, a fabulous job has been done on refurbishment 😊. Disappointed the train was out of service - but a reason to go back again in future. Slightly concerned about the cages the animals in the petting zoo area were in as they seemed too small (I wouldn't be allowed to rehome from a rescue centre with a space that size for the number of animals in there) with mixed species in the same enclosure.
I left a bag there and phoned them to see if it had been found. Not long after they rang back to tell me it had been found and they would keep it safe until I could come and get it the next day.
S. D.
Lovely little farm
A. N.
Great fun. The little tractors were excellent. Plenty of animals to look at and play with, no need for queuing to see any of them. The play area is also great, specially for 4 years+.
M. C.
Such a brilliant day out for all the family. With plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. We will definitely keep visiting as often as we can!
r. S.
This is a lovely place to spend a few hours. I took my chikdren aged 2,5 and 7. They love animals and so were happy to spend a long time with the animals. Definately buy feed. It is over priced for what you get and most things are extra. We paid for the pony ride which they loved and was worth £3 per child however we didnt go on the train as this would have cost £12 and was too much.
A. B.
Loved it even though it was raining. The peddle tractors to ride round were a huge hit as was the park. The train is a bit expensive for the length of the ride and the tables in the tent were pretty dirty but they were a little overwhelmed with everyone inside to get out of the rain. Would visit again but not pay for the train.
K. T.
Glad to see it open again. Great to get close to the animals
D. W.
Our little man loved the train and pumpkin pickih
Z.
Not bad of a place to go to. Uses up the day and the kids love it. Ps take some sarnies and can be expensiv£
C. G.
Lovely place to spend the day, very friendly staff.
R. R.
It's OK but not half as good without the indoor soft play. No pony rides atm and the petting area set up was disappointing compared to before. Train also wasn't in use for our visit.
C. R.
Lovely visit today. Staff friendly and the place is immaculate. Animals are clearly well loved and cared for. Great range of outdoor play equipment and the temporary cafe covid safe and hygienic. Well done team, we will be back 🐴🐷🦃🐔🐮🦙🐐🐑
H. T.
Staff were nice. Booking easy. Some good facilities crazy golf, playground and walk though the animal fields. There are handwashing facilities. Some areas were crowded and a bit disorganised around reception.
V. G.
A perfect place to spend a day with the family. We had lots of fun. Our 5 year old loved it. We highly recommend visiting 😍
k. W.
Amazing farm experience, the cleanest I have visited. Staff are so friendly, lots of things to do there and the food in the cafe is amazing. Just wish they sold a season ticket as we go there so often.
A. C.
Really enjoyed our family day out here, would recommend to others, be good to come back when new building is completed,
Park is kept very clean and tidy with friendly staff, all apart from the young boy at reception, you would benefit from having someone with a more friendly welcome to your park, apart from that can't complain
L. B.
Good place to visit. We went with our 18 month old granddaughter and she really enjoyed it. There are two soft play area for under 5s and also a dedicated outdoor play area with small slides and enclosed seat swings. Quite a few animals to visit and a petting area where you can have a guinea pig on your lap 😁. Restaurant was quite clean but food not fab and coffee was just drinkable (hence 4 stars and not 5). We would def go again but would eat somewhere else.
B. P.
Beautiful place to take the kids, reasonably priced. Great day out
R. R.
This was the first time I ever visited this place having heard a lot of great feedback off close friends and other family members. We went on the weekend when the weather was great, which meant that it was probably slightly busier than normal. This didn't affect the day however, we had a great time out of the family and there is plenty to do for all ages. The layout of the park is great for walking and enjoying the sunshine while still seeing all the animals. There's a large cafe on site which sells hot and cold food and plenty of drinks. Slightly pricey but worth the money in terms of quality of food. they offer a reward scheme for visits which means that if you go a few times you'll then be entitled to a free adult entry. would highly recommend taking your children there, they will have a great time.
R. L.
Excellent fun for all the family. Perfect size for toddlers, lots of fun feeding the animals and the train and play park are great!
W. H.
Little gem of a find right on our doorstep. Lots for little ones to do. Train ride, crazy golf and of course all the wonderful animals. Friendly staff, clean and animals are well cared for. Great day out.
P. B.
Fabulous day out my first visit. Went with family who had been before. 4 adults at two children aged 6 and 8 years old. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. Would definitely go again and would recommend to others. Lovely way to spend a day. And the children had an amazing time in cuddle corner and then feeding the animals, riding the ponies and playing in soft play and in the outdoor play areas. A day to remember
However, I do feel that I should point out that I was very surprised that it was £2 extra per adult and child (up from £5 to £7) On weekends and school holidays surely this should be the other way around and it should be made more affordable during school breaks. The whole place was bursting at the seams cars were queueing to get in. As grandparents the entry fee didn't matter, but for some young mums with two or three children it must make it very expensive day because once inside more money is spent. Please think about this. Airlines and holiday companies do this and it really is showing a little greed. It wouldn't stop me going again but quite a few people in the queue waiting to pay were making adverse comments.
S. S.
Nice to see it all open again. It's lost a little a bit of the old farm feel as it's so new and polished. Looking forward to seeing the new soft play open.
S. H.
Nice little park, perfect for kids and their grand parents. Animals had character, loved em.
A. G.
Went yesterday with my partner and 1 year old, couldn't have had a better day. Variety of animals. Good value. Lovely food. Soft play separate for little ones. Could easily spend all day here. We will definitely be returning!
J. C.
Great place for family whatever the weather. Really nice place with farm animals which is great for the kids. Has a little play area and also soft play inside so still good when the weather isnt great. Nice selection of food for both parents and kids, and lots of different activities too such as animal feeding, grooming the guinea pigs and horse riding! Fun day out. Been a couple times and always good :)
R. B.
A great place for kids, my son loves it every time. Not too big so perfect for toddlers. Large indoor place area to and what I particularly like is there's a specific under 5's area for smaller ones. Food is great and of course caters for children, but would like to see more healthier options, think there was only one dish that didn't come with chips. Overall a great afternoon out
a. a.
Wonderful place to bring children, so many activities. So much to see and do and the staff are 2nd to none. Can't recommend highly enough, would give 10 stars 😊🌟
S. A.
Very warm welcome when you arrive. dining area constantly kept clean and tidy and food is lovely. The soft play area is fantastic and later you have the opportunity for your children to play in the park and see all the wonderful farm animals.my grandchildren had a brilliant day today. A big thank you to all the staff who work very hard each day .
L.
Fantastic place, lots to do for our grandchildren age 3 and 5. Pony rides (extra £2) soft play; 1 for babies, 1 for under 3, and 1 for 3 to 5 years old. Area for petting Guinea pigs, outside play grounds, toy tractors! Lots of animals to feed ( bag for feeding animals £0.75) like, pigs, ponies, sheep, goats, lamas, donkeys, ducks and calves. Cost £7 in the weekend or £26 for family. Week days £5 per person.
Good value for money! Definitely coming back!
E. F.
Always great. Fun play frame, so many doff animals, and a great farm/gift shop at the end! Nice food and drinks in the cafe, fun little tractors for the kids to ride on while walking around the paths (although some need their peddles fixed..) but always have a great family time
S. N.
Very well kept, play park was fab!
There arent many animals to see, I expected more and the train wasn't running which is why we wanted to go but cant be helped
Food and the cafe was great!
S. R.
Very open plan with friendly animals rushing up to be fed every time you rustle a paper bag. Plenty to do for youngsters and a large train ride which was sadly closed for renovation on the day we visited.
n. B.
Brilliant place to bring the family on a day out so much to do and one the building work has finished there will be even more to do,loads of animals which you can feed a miniature train to ride an outside play area freshly cooked food and drinks cooked on site, all profits goes back into the farm so everyone is a winner
Highly recommend you coming here you wont be disappointed
J. P.
Fantastic farm, with all the usual farm animals along with some more exotic, such as reindeer to name a few. There's a good park for the kids, huge indoor soft play area, a lovely cafe and a great shop when leaving.
The Santa this year is spectacular, really nice and the kids loved him. Good value too.
Highly recommended for a family day out. Staff are great.
J. H.
Great place to take the kids.
Fantastic staff
Lovely people++××
M. H.
Great for younger kids
F. F.
This is a great little place for young children. Outside there are plenty of opportunities to get up close with a variety of farm animals and indoors has a brilliant soft play area. We visited here whilst holidaying nearby and had a great time with our two young children. We didn't sample the food, but the indoor area looked particularly new and fresh - possibly recently refurbished. I can imagine this would be quite popular for local families - although it might be pricey for regular visits.
m. r.
Thank you everyone at Cefn mably for a wonderful experience today..All the staff were fantastic,Santa was as excited as our boy..well done all.
G. L.
Visited today for my Daughters 3rd Birthday she loves animals so seemed like the perfect place. She loved the petting area, stroking the Guinea Pigs although it was a shame the staff working there are not as enthusiastic about the animals. Just happy to pass them from 1 child to another without talking about them. Only word I got from them was the Guinea Pig's name but this was only after asking. Overall a lovely day out. I would also say a bit overpriced, could be a much better place with a few improvements here and there.
A. C.
We took the grandchildren, wow I was very surprised. The service, friendliness of all the staff was fantastic. Facilities for the children seemed endless, the food we ordered for ALL of us, nothing left on the plates !!!, all prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend a day out with the children.
Keep up the good work...
K. B.
Fantastic day out for all the family, we all enjoyed feeding the animals and riding on the train. Would highly recommend visiting
J. B.
Went for a children's birthday party, reasonable entry cost.
The indoor pay is extensive, though challenging for keeping an eye on the young'un as some of the areas around it are staff only and I'm not svelte enough to handle the obstacles within :)
The party room it's large enough but quickly becomes too warm once multiple bodies arrive. Doors can be opened but a bit of AC wouldn't go amiss!
The areas outside equipped with ride-on tractors and the abundance of animals left nothing to be desired.
Definitely worth a visit!
C. S.
My son loved the adventure! Fed animals (note, buy more than one bag of feed, the animals go through it fast!), played on the great park facilities and excellent indoor soft play (remember to bring socks!). Had so much fun, we're looking forward to go again! £5(weekday)/£6 (weekend) entry fee is well worth it as you'll be there most of the day!
L. J.
A shame the soft play hadn't been replaced when I visited. And the train was not running.
Also on 2 unisex toilets, that had the baby change inside. A lot of queuing!
J. M.
Absolutely fantastic day out! Fairly priced and so much to do from soft play to pony rides cannot rate this place highly enough, the animals are so good with small children and extremely well kept. Visited with a 3,4 & 5 year old and they didn't want to leave, staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you! Well done guys amazing day out!
P. J.
Great for kids. Plenty for the young, indoors and out. The soft play area 8s a major attraction indoors while the many and varied animals are approachable and friendly. Play areas around the walkways ensure interest is maintained. Kitchen/cafe area can get a tad noisy but only as you'd expect on a child orientated attracting such as this
R. M.
Really well managed due to covid and have re-done it really well since the flooding! Love the alpacas 🥰
L. S.
Lovely place - Loads to do. Reasonably priced and really clean and well kept - Absolutely perfect for young kids.
E. A.
Lovely little farm park with indoor and outdoor play areas. Guinea pigs for the kids to hold and pet, pony rides (extra fee for these) and lots of ponies, pigs, alpacas and water birds for the kids to feed. You can get bags of food for 75p on the way in. Also a lovely cafe and farm shop. The park is all on the flat so can be accessed easily by buggies and wheelchairs and the toilets have always been clean when I have been.
L. D.
Loved this farm. Took my 8 year old and 2 month old. The changing facilities for him were amazing and so clean and my daughter loved feeding the animals and cwtching the Guinea pigs. The food was lovely and freshly made and the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it and be back.
A. W.
Took our 2yr old grandson for a few hours. Lovely place with clearly marked play areas for different age groups. Animal feeding with good hand washing facilities. Excellent cafe and shop. Well worth a visit.
R. J.
Lovely day out for the kids, not huge to get round, play areas are great, would be 5 star but a little over priced once you add on the extras for tain, animal food and mini golf
E. R.
Loads for the kids to do. The animals are lovely and the play area is indoors if the weather isn't the best. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable and there's a loyalty scheme for multiple visits. Brilliant.
The farm sells produce too. Which to be honest is pricey, but absolutely amazing.
N. B.
Perfect family day out with lots to see.
A. B.
Took my 2 year old here today and it was lovely. Lots to do from a huge soft play to the park outside and animals inside and outside. Stayed for over 4 hours and could have stayed longer if I had time. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
D. R.
Very reasonably priced when compared to similar experiences in the area.
Great soft play area for the kids.
Not a huge amount of farm animals but enough to interest most children, my only negative when compared to other similar farm parks.
Great for all weathers but especially in good weather as my children enjoy the outdoor parks.
Farm shop is also great on the way out to grab some local produce.
Food menu is ample with both adults and kids meals at reasonable prices, quick service is usual and you don't typically have a long wait on the food (10-15 minutes approximately).
Facilities are clean and well maintained, always plenty of staff on hand to assist if needed.
Overall a great place to go when looking to treat the kids, at a fair price. Only downside is the kids want to go back every weekend!!
C. M.
Great place! Main soft play and food area has a low ceiling so all the noise of kids shouting, screaming and crying does not echo in your ears forever!!! Farm is spread over a large area and lots of animals to see/pet. Really friendly staff. Would recommend.
V. M.
Great for children lots to do. Inside Large soft play area, able to feed some animals with the food bought cheaply on site. Outside small park area, supervised short horse ride extra small charge. Large area to walk around with picnic tables and many hand washing huts. Good reasonable cafe on site and a farm shop. Food is good and varied.
C. K.
The soft play is the highlight of the park, it has a range of activities and play areas suitable to different ages, and the cafe is in the centre of them all so parents can be comfy whilst still able to supervise. The farm was a little disappointing as it was the vast majority was goats and horses, but given the cost to enter the whole complex is very reasonable, I won't hold it against it.
A. N.
Our daughter loved it and we had a nice day. Good mix of animals and play areas. Perhaps a tiny bit lacking in outside areas to play for our two year old, as although it was sunny, it had been raining for a week previously so there were but puddles at the bottom of slides etc
M. K.
Great places to take your kids of all ages. I have a 6 year old girl and 2 year old boy and both absolutely love it there. Then when your tired and hungry parents can grab some lunch and a coffee from the lovely cafe. To top it off I reccomend grabbing some scotch eggs from the Moody sow
E. S.
We have visited here many times & have always had a pleasant time (today included) however we feel that a few things need to be looked into. £7 for a child of 4+ is reasonable however it certainly isnt reasonable to have to pay that for a 1 year old and for adults with the food & drinks being so expensive. Then also having to pay extra for pony rides & the electric go karts.
The farm in itself is well kept but some of the animals didnt seem so & a few of them were injured. The main play area is not suitable for toddlers as the equipment is far too big for them but excellent for the older children (again unfair with price).
We felt there should also be more wash stations especially just before the play area.
G. M.
Great day out for the children, they loved feeding the animals. It will be even better once the new section is completed with the soft play.
S. O.
Having read some of the negative reviews and having seen the farm develop over the years I thought I'd write my own review (not something I usually do).
Firstly I'm not a massive fan of kids amusement places so am usually critical but this is definitely one of the better establishments.
The place is clean and kept clean all day, despite hundreds of kids and their families being really messy everything is kept under control. The toilets always seem to be spotless too.
Entry fee isn't too bad, you could pay the same just for soft play and they don't charge for under 18 months I believe - which considering even my 15 month old gets lots out of the place is really good.
Yes you have to wait for your food. This is not fast food, this is fresh food made to order and lovely it is too (really good for a kids place). Meat comes from the attached butchers which is also worth browsing on the way out.
Ok the cafe and additional rides are expensive. Aren't they always at these places? What's different here is that the money seems to be constantly invested - this place was less than half the size when we first started coming 6 years ago. They have built new areas, extended existing buildings and refreshed facilities. That in itself comes with issues, for example there are a lot more staff here now and quite young they are - but I find them fairly pleasant.
Onto the animals - I'm not a massive fan of locking animals up for kids enjoyment however in saying that kids get a lot out of it in a fairly safe environment. There are always staff around and living areas seem clean, plenty of water etc. I note that a lot of animals on display are rescued so are probably better cared for than they used to be!
All in all you could do a lot worse - if you want to save a few £££s then bring a picnic!
l. f.
Lovely little farm with plenty of animals to see!! Cafe a tad pricey, but plenty of outdoor picnic benches. Going to go back and try the train next time!
a. n.
Had a lovely time. Lots of animals to feed, will definitely be returning
B. J.
Cracking day out for both kids and adults. The prices are a little high, but if you take your own food and drinks, you will have a perfect day. Loved all the animals, but there was one goat that took a definite dislike to me, which my daughter found highly amusing. A solid 5 stars!!!!
S. D.
Surprised how well organised it is there paths are solid concrete so good for pushchairs wheelchairs only problem there was car park was hard work to push pushchair over gravel but apart from that animals friendly loads for kids to do
P. P.
A fab day out so much to see and especially feeding some of the animals train ride was lovely to and the cost was really good
D. T.
We love Cefn Mably. Indoor soft play, huge outdoor playground, lots of animals to feed and stroke--and it doesn't cost much more than the regular soft plays around Cardiff. With young children you can easily spend most of a day here.
Besides the indoor play area, many of the animals are under cover. It's not a bad rainy day destination, though you can do the most on a nice day.
Plus, the butcher at the farm shop is outstanding, and the cafe serves great homemade food from the farm shop/butcher.
A. C.
Thought price was alittle steep considering that there is no softplay at present. I wouldn't of minded if the train was included but again you had to pay extra for train, feed and mini golf.
R. G.
Me and the family love it here, we even came back after with the grandparents.
H. J.
Lovely day out. Lots to do for children 9f all ages - whether its wet or dry! Always something new there. The farm shop is amazing and the food is always lovely and fresh.
G. S.
We have been several times to this place and the animals are nice to see for the younger kids. The price is a bit steep for entrance being £7.50 for adult and child is £7. You can get around the place in 30 mins if going slow. They have a nice softplay and cafe but would advise you pack a picnic as prices are steep again as well as the gift shop.
J. H.
Great place to go. So much to do, large soft play area. Fabulous outdoor park and picnic area with plenty of seating benches and pararols for a hot day. My grandchildren 4yr and 1 yr old loved feeding the many animals. Pony rides, go carts, a huge digger and gravel pit. Good handwashing facilities available and large well proportioned cafe with lovely staff. Excellent day out. Would reccomend.
A. R.
Brilliant place for young children, it will be even better when the new visitors centre, restaurant, indoor play area and Butcher shop is open after the devastating floods they had last year.
N.
Excellent for families loads for kids to do and all the animals you can see and feed and also great food I would highly recommend going there.
C. S.
Great place for toddlers, the soft play is brilliant and there is plenty to do on a rainy day. Very clean premesis and toilets are always clean. Unfortunately I do find the café to be overpriced though, but picnics are great there on sunny days.
S. G.
This is a great place to visit for families. There is plenty to see both outdoors and indoors, which makes it perfect for any weather. There is so much for children to do, from seeing animals, playing in the large soft play area or on the large outdoor park area. My only criticism is that although this is a family friendly place, I thought there could have been more baby changing facilities and feeding areas. It was a very busy day when I visited and there were parents queuing frequently to use the facilities.
J. W.
Loved every second of our visit
J. P.
Lovely farm, recently been refurbished, a lovely afternoon
E. G.
This is an amazing place to go for a day with your children there is lots to see and do with a play center for children and toddlers and a cafe to sit, relax and enjoy your food. You can also feed the animals and hold rabbits and guinea pigs and ride a pony. You should definitely take your children out to Cefn Mably Farm for the day.
G. C.
Very expensive but the little one enjoyed herself.
J. H.
Perfect day out all the facilities you need friendly staff
N. S.
Incredible farm , big and very clean and tidy, lovely animals to see , toys area for kids , nice caffe , lovely staff , very organised farm , lovely facilities for babies and adults , amazing place to visit indeed , love it 🤗
D. B.
Had a great day with children from 2 to 14. Something to keep them all happy. They enjoyed interacting with the animals and using the play areas. Staff friendly and helpful.
D. R.
Visited on Sunday had never been before. Much bigger than I was expecting and so much for my 5 year old to do. After you have finished walking around the outside and seeing the animals you can let them loose on the soft play while adults have a coffee. We were only there for around 2 hours but will go longer next time. Shop is nice and well stocked we bought a number of items that are going down well at home.
There is under 5 play area and over 5 both look well kept and clean unlike other soft play areas. The indoor area as a whole is clean and tidy with just about enough seating during busy times. Outside there are Birds, Rabbits, lots of chickens, guinea pig that you can hold, Llamas, Ponys, Pigs, Horses, Goats and more. There seems to be a small gauge train that operates here but it wasn't on that day unfortunately
J. F.
The farm it's self is superb, with plenty of animals to see. Our only issue was the customer service, which is pretty poor. I don't think they have ever picked up the phone (and this was before Covid), and service inside is what you'd expect from kids.
N. W.
Lovely afternoon. Can't wait to visit when it's 100% finished but so nice to see it up and running again. Well done all.
F. E.
My 2y/o son loves it. It is quite clean farm. You can find several hand wash stations inside the farm. The food in restaurant is very good. There are an indoor play ground which i found nice.
N. D.
Loved it with my 1 year old. They said they had reindeer but didn't see any. The kitchen was closed for refurbishment otherwise it would have been five. Would love it if they added some sheep and Cows. Amazing day out.
A. C.
Nice little animal Park 30 family of four at weekends and holiday plus animal food and pony and train ride so not cheapest place as only a half day venue
L. F. (.
Great day out. Plenty to do for the children. Nice animal cuddle/holding area. Staff were present to help. Lovely outdoor park and picnic areas. Pony ride was fab. Indoor soft play is great. Nice little farm shop. Was a lovely day out.
E. J.
Love bringing my granddaughter here, she love's to feed the animals, have a pony ride and the soft play
J. K.
We love cefn mably. Huge indoor play area for the kids. Lots of seating with reasonably priced food in the cafe. Sometimes there can be a bit of a queue for food. Packed lunches are welcome.
The kids love feeding the animals and playing on the outdoor parks.
The ride on tractors are always a hit too
A great day out
H. J.
Great place for spending a few hours with the kids. Both indoor and outdoor play areas so makes it suitable for all weather conditions. Love that the soft play is separated for over 5s and under 5s. Coffee is fab.
I. S.
The place is really nice. However, it is beyond expensive. I think it is outrageius to charge full price for 18 month old who probably won't be there for more than 1.5 - 2 hours. I would say it is probably worth it for older children who can get more out of it and spend the whole day there.
t. f. s. (. F. S.
Had a fantastic day out here with the kids in the school holidays. So much to do, super safe for the older ones to have a little freedom and the staff were friendly and courteous.
Coffee was absolutely top notch which is so unusual for a kids venue.

Excellent day out. Well priced, lots of parking. Not the biggest farm in the work but lets be honest once you have seen one pig you've seen them all. Large soft play area, food is nice. Biggest cheese and chips ever.
D. R.
A lovely place, with lots of animals to pet and feed, plus a decent size soft play area inside if the weather's not so good. Entrance fee seemed reasonable. Clean and well maintained, with lots of hand washing stations - better than other petting farms we've visited.
A. S.
Fantastic day out for all ages! Lots to do and see! Shop currently closed due to flooding but in process of refurbishment.
D. S.
Cefn Mably Farm makes for a lovely family day out. The entrance free is rather reasonable at just £24.00 for a family of 4. There is plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied for the day including: a soft play area, a cafe, go karts, pony rides, plus lots and lots off animals to see and cuddle. A fantastic time to be had by all.
K. P.
Great for little ones, but the 15 year old would have happily left after an hour. Nice outdoor and indoor play, plenty of seating, café on the expensive side ( £4 for chips, but they were homemade). Would go again, but only with younger ones.
P. P.
A nice day out for the little lady (2yo), she loved all the animals and the layout makes it suitable for the smaller walkers and older kids. The play area is one of the best i've seen around Cardiff and the prices of food and drink are more than reasonable.
The attached "Moody Sow" deli is great and the Cefn Mably reared pork is delicious.
M. J.
Good variety of animals for a small farm and very good to see that they have adopted rescue animals too. There are plenty of opportunities to feed the animals as you walk around the park. There are signs everywhere saying wash your hands however there are only two hand washing stations one as you get halfway around and II by the main entrance and exit to the building not ideal when you're walking around with young children so I would advise anyone to take antibacterial wipes and gel with them whenever they go.
Pony rides are quite a good addition however the queue can be quite long you're only a short pony ride particularly if your children decide not to do on them once you've queued for 35 minutes!
the indoor soft play is great for both under fives and over fives it's fairly clean considering you're on a farm and plenty of choice in the restaurant cafe and shop.
It is better than wiggleys in Bridgend but has a long way to go to get as good as folly farm however for a local small farm and day out for the kids, it's a great option and would recommend!
P.s. the staff are very friendly and helpful
A. A.
Great place for kids and plenty of activities
N. B.
Took our family from Devon here and they was all shocked to how you can put so much in such little space, fabulous place a real little gem cant wait for the next stage to be finished
Highly recommend everyone going here
C. L.
Set out really well and the train ride is a lovely touch, could do with a bit more to do for the money, but they are still getting over the flooding
N. W.
Fabulous! You can feed the animals who are all lovely and friendly, my little boy who is 2 and a half loved holding and brushing the guinea pigs, feeding the lambs and sheep, the diggers, the horses, everything! The soft play is lovely and the food is too :) Great farm shop, friendly staff and so much to do! Shame we're moving out of Wales soon, this place is fantastic!
N. C.
Fabulous day out staff are fantastic really helpful I have 4 young adults with hfa they loved it I don't know the lady's name with the guinea pigs but I can't thank her enough
J. H.
Wkd fun for little kids,my boy is 5 he loves it there!
H. H.
Cost of a Family ticket (4 people) is very reasonably priced, you also get a loyalty card, once you get 6 stamp you receive 1 free entry. Good overall layout of the farm. Disabled parking bays are located rite near the entrance but theres only 3/4 bay's available unfortunately. Plenty to do here overall for most ages. Café and play area are large, we didn't order food as there was an hour's waiting time. Toilets looked well kept and maintained.
S. D.
Train ride is amazing
The park is even better with all the alterations
Plenty of sanitizer
Play area is awesome and the homemade cake was delicious
T. O.
Great place for family day out. Good selection of animals to feed in large natural setting and all very tame and come running up to you if they see a bag of food, which can be purchased from front desk for 50p, a small petting corner, indoor and outdoor play areas and plenty of picnic space. They are having a kitchen refurb at the moment, so the offered menu was rather limited. Staff very helpful and polite. Lovely farm shop there as well with loads of local produce. Only grumble was that my partner said he would not order the corned beef pasty ever again as it tasted rank, however i thought their sausage rolls were bloomin lush!!
L. A.
Amazing! Can't wait to take my daughter back! We were the last ones out I think she was having so much fun :)
M. B.
It's a lovely place, inside soft play, outside play area's. Children can handle rabbits or guinea pigs there are also pony rides available. Only down side is everything can be done within a few hours.
G. C.
We weren't expecting much from this place as it's not as well known as the likes of Folly Farm, but we were pleasantly surprised. There are lots of animals and a petting area, and the indoor play area was great for the kids. The entry price was really reasonable too. We will definitely be going back there soon
R. P.
Meaning to find this place for ages.
Went there today..the farm shop is amazing...try the black pudding scotch eggs...so scrummy!!!!!
Going there again on Thursday to enjoy the animals and play area with my granddaughter....she can't wait.
L. J.
Very enjoyable time spent here ,probably for younger children up to 7/8 it was busy but plenty of room so didn't feel overcrowded
C. M.
Will definitely go again, great little day out. My 8 month old loved it and was great for her to explore in the soft play. Lots to do for children inside and out.
C. C.
Cefn mably farm is an excellent place to visit with the kids and is very resonable priced. £6.50 adults £4.50 children . You can visit and feed ( 50p a bag of food ),goats, pigs ,horses, chickens and for a small fee (£2.00 ), take a ride on a small horse.
The restaurant is resonabley priced and they don't mind you taking your own food.
The animals seem to be well looked after and every effort is towards the health and safety of the animals .
A pleasent day out thank you.
A. D.
Didn't go in as baby fell asleep. I have heard good and bad things about this place . It's got an awful approach road - wideish lane but people drive way too fast. Car park is quite big so you can park even when busy
S. M.
Only just discovered this place and will be returning! Nice setting, great play area and wide variety of farm animals for the kids to meet. The petting area was well organised and the staff were lovely. The farm shop on the way out was fantastic!
H. T.
Great place for young children! Just make sure to bring socks. There's 2 soft play areas, guinea pigs kids can hold and brush. There are pigs, goats, llamas, reindeer and horses to see and feed.
There's a canteen area and a shop afterwards selling lots of produce.
W. S.
we took the kids here and we all had thorughlty good time! it's very reasonably priced and the animals all looked very well looked after. tho we did say the baguettes and toasties were rather expensive for what they are other than that excellent
K. B.
My kids love it here. Its had allot of upgrades over the years and the animals are friendly and happy. Plenty to keep little people entertained
A. G.
Amazing experience you won't get elsewhere, my son who has autism loves being able to interact with the animals and being able to feed them. You will not get a day out like this anywhere else. Try and go on a quieter day as it can get very busy here
G. S.
The kids enjoyed it. It has improved since I was last there, and the improvements are still on going.
N. P.
Great school trip here. Kids loved it. Loved the cafe, lush chips. Nice farm shop. Not much here tbh and kids were a little bored after an hour
a. e.
The attraction is fab. Manage my not so good. Apparently they don’t allow coach trips during school holidays. For a holiday play scheme we won’t be able to return there. They also won’t allow a bus to drop off in the car Park. They have to drop off on busy main road. For a trip of children with disabilities including A.D.H.D and Autism this is a major health and safety issue
S. D.
Even with a bit of rain excellent place to take the kids (with wellies)
A. W.
Great place to take the children, lots of animals too see, my kids love the indoor play area, they're run around and burn some extra energy off.... lovely farm shop too with some great produce
l. F.
Excellent few hours out so reasonably priced brilliant park and lovely staff
D. D. (.
Great fun for all the family, indoor softplay for when the weather is not so good. Looks like a mini railway is coming soon too. Plus every 6 stamps you get a free entry
J. C.
Was nice experience for the whole family.
S. C.
You can walk around in 20 mins, coffee only half cups, £3 pp for train ride, crazy golf & pony rides
M. H.
Really good visit for little ones, plenty to and lots of places to picnic
L. 3.
Wasn't impressed they put prices up in school holidays 😕 also having to pay for 3yr old not good. £4 for one hot chocolate! Animals are lovely tho and friendly
A. B.
Really lovely venue, great outdoor area with lots of animals to pet and for the kids to get close to. Indoor soft play area is large and varied, cafe has excellent food and the farm shop is well stocked
A. D.
Great place to take a little one. It has concrete paths so you don't even need wellies!
S. W.
Nice for the kids but the entrance fee got no concessions for disabled or carers and the food is well overpriced for what you get.. Best part of the day was actually getting back to the house
C. c.
Can't really speak about the kids play area or the farm animals. However, the modern retail shop has a fantastic selection of their own homemade and home cured bacon and sausages. Homemade cakes and produce from other local farms too. I buy a lot of meat here 5 stars. From what I could see of the children's play area from the coffee shop it looks modern and safe.
M. W. B.
Great day out, our little ones thoroughly enjoyed it more catered to smaller children
N. M.
Amazing place. My daughter loves it and farm shop is brilliant. Can't wait for them to reopen.
D. C.
Lovely place - super friendly animals and lots to see and do.
D. H.
Lovely park and a great enjoyable outdoor experience for children and families with very friendly animals to pet.
B. W.
The farm has changed alot since I last went. Much much better and fun now. Had an amazing time with my grandaughter
D. B.
Had a lovely day and it can only get better when the soft play area is open
S. R.
Great for kids. Lots of animals, soft play, pony rides, guinea pigs and rabbits to groom etc. You could spend all day here and not get bored. There's also a cafeteria, gift shop and a farm shop on site.
D. C.
Good fun for the kids. A good sized play area quite handy when the weather is not the best. The only issue here is adults paying as much as the kids where our main work inside is look after the kids
J. R.
Brilliant day out for the whole family. Loyalty card is a fab idea. Indoor and outdoor activities so come rain or shine it's a great day out. Love it!!
R. W.
I would give it 6 stars if I could. Every aspect is very good. Lovely staff, clean toilets, good food. A child's dream. I enjoyed too. 62 yrs young. R.W
D. W.
Nice afternoon out, plenty of animals to see and touch. Good adventure play area for all ages from 3 up. Nice restaurant and farm shop, well worth a visit.
L. E.
Really nice if you have younger kids. Children can feed the animals. There are also outside play areas, Indoor soft play & Cafe.
Farm shop is really nice.
T. O.
My daughters love this place and the santa is amazing and well worth the money. Little girls will receive a real Barbie as a guft from santa, which my daughter was thrilled! Fab place!
S. B.
Great day out. Excellent soft play area. Looking forward to going back.
Word of advice: Take some cash as there are some extra things like coin operated cars and diggers but they don't have a cashpoint or offer cashback.
N. B.
Lots of animals you get to see up close as well as other activities such as a park and train rides. great day out!
A. A.
Great place for family fun, with a range of activities!
D. G.
Fab place... But food is a bit expensive for what it is... The staff etc make up for that
K. O.
Enjoyed the farm and my little boy loved the soft play. Plenty to do if it's wet or dry. Expensive to get in if it's the weekend or half term but cheaper during school times
A. B.
Soft play very good as is the coffee and food. Animals and outside play areas not up to much though. Lots of animal droppings off-putting for outside picnic.
S. D.
Was expecting to see more animal, and a gift shop,
But work was being done so that might be why
Lovely place
A.
Bit pricey but lovely place to visit . Very little disabled parking available and you can wait a long time for food in the cafe which reguarly sells out of things like icecream whenever its even slightly busy but the place is well kept , the staff are generally helpful and its a nice family day out for little ones
J.
Great for kids, there's are lot of animals and it even has a soft play area.
They have a shop on site where you can be locally Sourced produce. The steaks were amazing.
B. V.
Perfect day out and animals well looked after. Soft play superb and very clean. Star taken off due to rudeness of staff, fantastic facilities run by unwelcoming people
D. R.
I have not visted the farm itself but have visited the onsite shop a number of times. This review is on the shop only. Prices are higher than in a supermarket but then the quality is so much better. The meat looks better and tastes better than in a supermarket. And the award winning Scott eggs are a must! Highly recommend a visit!
R. L.
Love this place and so did my two children one age 7 the other age 2 both loved feeding the animals both indoor and outdoor areas were fantastic and food prices was reasonable shop fantastic too a must visit place.
c. A.
Love this farm, kids get to run around in the indoor play area ,and lots of land to run to run around ,slides and swings and climbing frames .staff are lovely ,very friendly and helpful, animals are looked after to a top standard.food of fresh and delicious . I love this farm it pretty big as well

I. W.
Me and my friends love it here it's amazing if you want some fun.It has a lot of animals, good staff, cool soft play and it's just amazing. If you want somewhere to go with the kids the is the place for you!👍🏼
N. T.
Looks amazing since they have reopened. Really well organised and the kids loved it.
Z. B.
Take you own food as there's not really a good choice for the kids
n.
This is a combined petting zoo and softplay centre. It's undergoing a fair bit of refurbishment at the moment hence the 3 stars but it's undoubtedly a 5 star in the making. Proper coffee and home made food for the grown ups with comfy sofas and a great feeling of safety so that you can relax while the little buggers go nuts for a while. A range of domestic and farm animals for the kids to see and learn about, with some expert staff thrown in. Great place to spend your money as many of the animals are rescued. At least 60% of an 8 year olds energy can be dissipated in a couple of hours.
E. W.
Our son loves it here, great interaction with the animals, good play area and a nice cafe too should you need any refreshments.
J. R.
Great place for young and old alike. Plenty to amuse the family, lots of picnic tables and children will find plenty to do even if it's raining.
J. M.
Fabulous day out when it's all finished it's going to be amazing
J. B.
Brilliant day out for the kids
C. D.
Lovely place...great seeing the animals and the play area outside and in is fab but the food prices let it down...and no vending machines if you want a drink so you will have to queue 4 that too....if the queues where anything like today best to bring your own...which i will definitely do when i return...all in all thou good day out 4 the kids
t. m.
Great fun for all ages and very reasonably priced. Will def take the grandaughter back. I f weather not good great indoor area too

S. H.
Just keeps getting better and better. The new farm shop looks to be a great addition - especially with cheeses like Golden Cenarth, Snowdonia C.C's Amber Mist and other treats like tiny colourful Macaroons that taste sensational.
Oh, and the kids love it too (can't get them out of the soft play)!
We'll be back soon.
D. E.
Great day out for the family

C. W.
Lots of cute Animals and indoor and outdoor play. Nice selection of cakes and ice cream in the cafe plus comfortable sofas to sit on
L. D.
Wonderful food and play area. Seems to be more and more concrete areas rather than beautiful countryside which is why it hasn't got 5 stars
N. S.

Very busy place on a half term... missing some charm compare meadow cwmbran farm but more interesting for children ... the activity for them is squezed on a smaller space... food is nice.
S. Z.
Really good place to visit and plenty to see and do for little ones. Only down side is the charge for little ones but things like a pony ride are very cheap inside.

H. L.

Lovely place for kids with farm animals and indoor/outdoor play. There are a few places inside to eat your picnic and alot outside.

Lovely place, staff very helpful and friendly, lots to see and do, prices are a little high especially in the cafe, no discounts for emergency services, Nhs or armed forces.
L. S.
Really enjoyed it, the child play area is brilliant for all ages well recommended to anyone
M. B.
Cefn mably farm is a very nice, clean and friendly place to take young children. Animals look well kept and it is lovely say out.
B. D.
Great place!! However my only flaw was the price of food and drink. I feel could be a little bit cheaper for families
