Newly decorated Club house and is bright and airy with a contemporary feel. Nice area to sit and relax with a drink. Food is really nice too and good value for money. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Drop in if passing.

Only one observation. We had a first class steak pie, chips & peas for a post- round meal. Naturally, I asked our waitress if they'd any Hendo's. To her personal credit she'd heard of it and went to the kitchen to see if they had any. Sadly, they didn't. Too far south, I suppose. Otherwise, the course was in good condition considering the recent heatwave with the greens being true and fair. There was also a fair bit of welcome work put in by the starter and course marshals.

Lovely golf course, really makes you think,tree lined fairways and being autumn the colour of the trees are beautiful. Food after the game was very good.

The golf club has had a make-over in the past few months and it's now looking superb! They have still got the best catering, though, as well as the fabulous bar manager and her staff, who give everyone a warm welcome. They also provide a great venue for private functions too!

Course in very good condition on all aspects, a very warm welcome both on and off the course, with great service & food quality in lovely clubhouse. already making plans for return. Lovely views of the course from the windows in the bar and restaurant, and lots of outside seating. Generous portions of nice food at a very reasonable price.

A nice park land golf course. It needs a couple more sign posts to get you round, we got lost a couple of times. Faiways and greens looked 'end of season-ish', but that's reasonable at the end of September. But If you play it a couple of times your scores will improve. There are a couple of great/ quirky holes, depending how you score; the 8th and 10th A good pro-shop. Catering was the weak link. The coffee is strong. Very Strong. And when the de-caff tea arrived it was another pot of strong coffee. After a wait more tea arrived, strong mature tea. A course I'd happily play again.

Super course and in great shape. Pro was really welcoming as were the staff in the clubhouse. Visitor fees good value but surpassed by the food, huge portion (club sandwich) for the money. Would highly recommend.

I've recently joined MGC and have played in the senior section on Tuesday and Thursday since mid July. They have made me very welcome. It's a friendly club, the course is great, the club pro is very helpful and the bar / food (including staff) are fantastic.

I like some variety on a golf course and you certainly get that at Mickleover golf club. Greens are good and a fair test for anyone who thinks they can putt well. Clubhouse is really nice with the food and catering of good quality. Staff friendly as well. Would definitely recommend a round here.

I visited this place on the 8th October as there was a nurses reunion so met up with ex colleagues from 40 years ago when left to have my family.Stayed for a couple of hours as found their bar prices a tad more expensive to what I usually pay for my drinks but was nice to return to a place I worked at for thirteen years years some twenty years ago.

A beautiful course design and well maintained. With tree lined sloping fairways that go up and downhill, turn left and right. Good pace of play

This is a nice wide open golf course with plenty of challenges for all levels. The course being nice wide open means, if you are taking your time, it can be a very enjoyable and steady round to play. At the same time, if you are looking to push yourself, there are enough challenges to catch you out. The location is fantastic wtih great views over the Mickleover/Littleover hills. The fairways are well kept and the greens in great condition too. The bunkers are unfortunately too inviting however, they are full of sand which is better than most clubs these days. The club house is well decorated with a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, they know how to make a good pre-round bap and pull a more than welcome pint for post round refreshments. All in, this is a great place for a game fo golf and I will be certain to return when I can.

I attended a wedding breakfast and reception at this venue yesterday and it was fantastic! The meal was scheduled for 3pm and all guests where seated ready, shown to the tables which had been beautifully decorated by the staff that morning in preparation. The first course of duck and orange păte with toast and salad was served promptly with one waiter/waitress per two tables which was more than manageable for a one to one feel of service with the waiting staff. The main course was roast beef with vegetables, new potatoes, roast potatoes and parsnips, we asked for a little more gravy which was no issue for the waitress and more vegetables and potatoes had been available if anyone required them which nobody did as the portions had been so generous for 8 people to a table, there was hardly any room left on the tables! Dessert was a chocolate tart with ice cream and it was delicious, again the staff allowed for a clearing of plates and a quick clean of tables before dessert was served which we all appreciated as we all felt a bit full. Timing was perfectly organised with the kitchen and chef. Prosecco was served ready for the speeches and all the tables had been cleared in time for the photographers to set up, and a little surprise of coffee, tea, with cheese and biscuits to finish the speeches was a delight. The evening guests enjoyed a buffet of hot pulled pork or sausage baps, with stuffing and apple sauce and sides of salad and potato wedges. I have never been to a wedding where I have left at the end of the evening not hungry, especially after drinking. There was nothing the chef or staff wouldn't cater for, hot water for a baby needing a bottle of milk, extra wine at the table or a swap for red/white wine if not needed, water filled if needed and it enough staff to manage each tables needs. Nothing was too much trouble. Bar prices where also reasonable and if the DJ and dancefloor became too noisy the patio and bar area was open so guests could appreciate the fresh air or spend time in the bar without noise from the main room. The Golf Club also catered for a children's entertainer and a photo booth as with most modern weddings. Lovely grounds for photos of the wedding party too. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about this venue, the room, decorations, waiting staff, the amazing food and service. Perfect for a party and small medium sized wedding in Derby.

We celebrated a 100th birthday party and the venue was perfect for the 70 guests , the food was excellent and was kept replenished. There is a large car park and a few disabled spaces near a ramp to the main entrance.

Society match of 16 players 10am tee off no greeting on arrival other than pro shop greens ok fairways needed cutting food ok probably plays better in the summer months ...but would play here again a society member had a hole in one on the 17th 😃
