Great looking course with some fantastic holes, clubhouse is well presented and the shop is snug but they make use of the little space as its jam packed with stuff. The food was spot on too and very well priced. The only let down was the course during a scheduled event members were still playing and held up play in several areas. Also its autumn and with the amount of trees around the greens were covered in leaves, most other courses I play would have had green staff blowing these off especially during an event.

What a beautiful course. A little difficult to find but once we did it was well worth it. Beautifully kept with the river running along side some of the holes. Afterwards had a meal in the clubhouse. Great food at very reasonable prices. Loved it.

A nice course with plenty of parking. Will enjoy it more on the next visit but no complaints about the fairways or greens. A fair golf challenge and a nice club house with friendly staff for after the golf.

Myself, in a party of 8 pairs played in the Seniors Open on 16th August 2022. Course was, as usual, in excellent condition, quite a lot of improvements from our last visit, greens I found a bit tricky, especially on short putts, but no complaints. Competition was well organised, a bit rain, but thats english golf. Club house friendly, nice pint, cannot comment on food as I did not try any, but plenty of others eating, so must be okay. Return again, yes, without hesitation.

A well managed and picturesque course. Not hard to play but the greens are quick ish with a lot of undulations. Friendly staff but awkward to find without a seat nav. Plenty of parking and a pleasant club house. Green fee plus cart only cost £25 so very much value for money.

Course in great condition, Pro shop well stocked. Small negative would be the bunkers but I'm reliably informed that work has already started and progressing from hole 1 to 18.

Great golf course, played twice in 2020, both time thought the course was excellent. The course is very well maintained and has the best greens in the North East of England. Both times I played the greens were super fast.

Been back today for seniors open was a member of DCGC for 40 years and first time back for 12 years. What an absolute fantastic day golf course in great condition and a great credit to all there. Played the course today and found the course to be well presented with the greens in excellent condition. My one criticism would be the playability of the bunkers. Whilst looking in good condition quite a few of them had only a light covering of sand on a clay base which was only evident once you had played a shot. Generally the course was well presented and the greens staff should be proud of their work. Well done boys.

Short but challenging course. Be careful of the river out of bounds on the right of 3 holes, and the railway on the left of two holes. Friendly professional, friendly bar and catering staff. Badly wet in winter 2015/16 but hard work by the green keepers means it is in great condition for summer 2016.

Had a great day at Durham City Golf Club. The course is great condition for the time year ie late September, pro shop and club house facilities are first class, food and drink are very good and well priced, will definitely be back.

Played Durham City golf club on 9th july, part of Consett golf club seniors match. I was very impressed by the clubhouse, the well stocked pro's shop, and the excellent course. After a very pleasant match, we retired for a drink and very nice meal, served with goodwill. Like most courses, a good rain shower would help, but all in all, a wonderful day.
