Fun and informal ten pin bowling. The systems were a little tired - one of the auto bumpers didn't raise and the scoring would sometimes credit you with pins you hadn't knocked down. Pizza was good for bowling alley pizza, but not great. Lots of fun for the kids, not for serious bowlers.

Would have given 5 stars if my game experience wasnt ruined by losing 15 minutes on it being fixed after it jammed girls were told and then had to be told again. Value for money is great as got the pizza deal and slush puppies.

We've haven't been here for some time but have to say it looks so much better inside following a refurb. Bowling control panel is great for kids! Good value for money as you can play as many games as you want in the time booked....unlike others where your limited to specific number of games. Pizza is also great value and very tasty. Will definitely go back with the family soon!

Good bowling place. Clean and well maintained. Reasonable rates. Food is a tad expensive though. If it is busy it can take a long time to arrive as well so should be ordered accordingly. The staff is always friendly and willing to help wherever possible.

Very busy place on a late Saturday morning. Didn’t book in advance so had a 40min delay to get a lane which was fine. Cafe was quite good and had some comfy seats. Bowling alley was good fun and staff were helpful. Was very busy, but the staff managed it well. Would def come back again.

Great bowling if you find a good deal. Definitely one of the cheapest in Edinburgh. Could find as cheap as £2 per game. Please be aware that you have to pay extra for shoes. The lanes have seen better days but for the price can't complain. Food and drink prices are reasonable.

Booked 1.5 hours of bowling with my family. Turned up on time but the lane we were assigned had issues. Moved to another lane and given extra time and an extra game. Staff were excellent (Robyn and Adam) Will definitely be back and would most definitely recommend.

Nice friendly staff, great prices, a good selection of balls and comfy shoes. They have also upgraded the bowling computer which takes your picture and does funny animation with it. It will also connect to your Facebook account. What's not to like?

Brilliant venue for kids party - only suggestion to venue would be to have the counter manned at all times- we had 24 kids and we spent a lot of time between arrivals waiting for a member of staff to get shoes before and after bowling. Great pizzas though!

Was a bit disappointed with the lack of service considering how quiet it was. Every time you wanted served you had to look for someone(there only seemed to be one girl). Also had a problem with the cuppa lolly machine which wasn't resolved satisfactorily.

This seems to be the cheapest place to go bowling that I've found in Edinburgh. Especially when you are going as a group of 4+ people, as they always have deals on. Additionally, you bowl by time rather than the number of games, so if you're quick bowlers, you can fit in a lot of games! The staff are helpful but don't really seem to be too happy about working there. This loses a star for me, but this doesn't take away from the bowling experience, which is great!

World of Bowling doesn't try to be something it isnt, which makes it so good. Nicely maintained lanes, friendly staff, nothing unnecessary. Two of us played 5 games and it cost us 20 quid - at a similar chain bowling centre that's named after an American town, it would've come to over 70! Give this place your business!

Not a bad experience, just be aware that if you order the 'pizza', you're actually ordering a cardboard like smartprice pizza from the local asda that they just heat up for you. literally

There's nothing exactly wrong with this place, but in the same breath there's nothing all that right about it either. Bar service was a little (lot) slow, but other than that it's a cheap and cheerful (read bearable) place.
