Reviews of Pollok Golf Club

Been here a few times a can't fault it. The staff are personal and professional. Things are well maintained in the clubhouse and the greens are fantastic. The members are respectful and friendly. 5 star experience every time I have been there. Only thing I would add is, there is a deep pothole as you turn into the carpark from the main street. I'm sure this will get addressed shortly.

Lovely staff who made us welcome and did well to serve and cook for a small party of 30 guys last Friday night. Lovely surroundings. Very reasonable bar prices. Toilets sparkling clean. Highly recommended.

Actually Pollock Park went for a visit great park the kids will love it from Highland cows to the river running through. Lovely wee spots in the gardens like dragons and dinosaurs fairy houses also flower and vegetable gardens The Burrel collection is also situated there and well worth a visit if you can pay £10 entry

Very nice course. Lots of doglegs and gets you thinking off the tee. Bacon rolls were very good and staff helpful. Was playing in open competition so good price. Members playing after last competition time seemed to think they were above everyone else. Clearly a very snobby club but other than that very enjoyable

Superb course and clubhouse. Course is in fantastic condition. Great greens. Staff made the day for me, they were excellent.. couldn't do enough for us. Thanks. Highly recommended.

What a great Scottish golf day we had! Caddie Master got us on without a problem - thank you! Fitted us with a new set of McGregor clubs and away we went. Very scenic. Course is largely level with ample fairways, and compact greens protected by fair and consistent bunkers. Price for the day was 75 pounds, exclusive of "buggies". On the subject of buggies, their limited availability was the only negative of the day. Would gladly play again.

Came here for an evening meal with friends. First class service from the staff at this wonderful old golf club. Excellent facilities and washrooms. The car park is below the clubhouse and the slope up to it is very steep. The building is in excellent repair and steeped in history. The meal was lovely and the staff attentive and helpful. Overall a great evening with friends.

Magnificent course, very flat but quite long if your short off the tee, greenkeepers do an excellent job in maintaining the course and an excellent choice of food from the kitchen, the waiting staff are super friendly and efficient.

Clubhouse is great looking an lovely staff! Golf course is in fantastic condition

Friendly staff and attractive clubhouse don't quite compensate for what is just an OK course with largely similar holes, especially the par 4's.
Failed to tell our party about hollow tining and temporary greens on some holes after we'd paid full visitor rates and driven a long way to play. Would have been nice to know about this and given the option of another date.

Great course. Enjoyable and challenging round of golf in excellent condition and greens very consistent. Clubhouse very smart with good food and staff very friendly and professional. Played in men's open and will be back for Seniors open in August.

Attended The Gents Open today and had a marvellous experience (with the exception of several wayward self inflicted shots!!). Very warm welcome at The Club followed by 18 holes round an exceptional course. Conditioning was superb with great greens, easy walking, lovely setting and enjoyable variety in the holes. Challenging course for all standards without being overly long. Looking forward to returning and hopefully addressing some of those wayward shots! Thanks to all for making the day so enjoyable. Highly recommended.

I have played golf twice at Pollok - on both occasions it was a Ladies Open Day. I thought the Club House facilities were delightful and the Course itself was absolutely magical. Having said that we had two very nice days for golf which makes such a difference. Hopefully they will have many more Open Days - could not justify the cost of joining!

Senior Open well organised and course in good shape.

There are not many places that offer great food, great value, and great service, but Pollok Golf Club restaurant is one of them. I visited last Saturday lunchtime for the special festive menu. We were celebrating a family birthday and ages ranged from 10 to 85. Every one of us enjoyed our meal and the staff, particularly Catriona, were terrific. We will certainly be going back soon.

I've been lucky to of played well over 500 golf courses in Scotland and I can say honesty that Pollok Golf Club has to be commended in its excellent condition. The greens hard fast and true, great definition of the fairways and tees. The only slightly disappointing point are the bunkers, inconsistent depths of sand. The club house is exactly what your looking for, modern but with a touch of one foot in the past. Wonderful food and drink, with friendly staff from the moment you walk thru the door. You don't find golf clubs like this anymore which is just a real shame and a lost to the game of golf in Scotland. Well done Pollok GC keep up the great work!

Played in the two Ladies Competitions this year, ok the weather was good, but the course was challenging. Loved the course and the lunches were fabulous. The staff and members were more than welcoming. Looking forward to playing again. Thank you

I joined Pollock golf club a year ago. This club makes sure it goes the extra mile for it's members and visitors to the club. I really enjoy playing the course and can book a time slot very easily especially on competition days. The staff are very friendly and always on hand to help with any quiries that anyone may have , the course is kept in fabulous condition all year round. After joining and playing thecourse I would never consider changing to any other club. I can not recommend Pollock enough and would encourage golfers of all levels to join.

My boyfriend is a member of this club and we have been down a good few times for food. The staff are really helpful and friendly and make sure they go out their way for visitors. The food is amazing and we are always made to feel welcome. Would highly rexommend.
