Reviews of Brandon Golf Course
A. W.
Great golf course for beginners - intermediate. 14-18 holes. Challenging enough for a good game without being too tiring. Great local pub round the corner too to finish off the round.
J. W.
Perfect for a relaxing afternoon round surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Usually nice and quiet after 3pm if you don't want the pressure of groups behind you.
S. C.
The course is a lot better. No food just tea's and coffee.
J. L.
Good small golf course, shame it's only 14 holes.
Reasonably priced.
J. S.
Staff are friendly and laid back. On the downside, the course is soft and boggy and this was 2 weeks after the last rain. 18 holes reduced to 14 and greens are slow and spongy. I mean SLOW, don't be afraid to give it a whack.
This place is owned by the same people who own The Village golf course further up the road. Don't bother with this as that course is much better. I'd suggest getting rid of this one and focusing on making one great.

I am a regular visitor to this course. The course has now been reduced to 14 holes since reopening after lockdown with no change to the green fees, which reduces value and appeal. Greens are variable in quality and bunkers lack sand. Layout is reasonably interesting and not too challenging. Not a great option in winter as it is prone to waterlogging.
S. L.
Flat and level fairly easy to play, but it has many ditches and ponds after hole 4, the course owners are pretty easy going (bit too easy to my mind) so "etiquette" is pretty relaxed
T. A.
Great course for the price, especially if you get the twilight deal after 3pm. Currently 14 holes but you can play the first 4 again to make 18.
N. T.
A quiet, pay to play, 18 hole course with an interesting mix of long and short holes and some water hazards. There's a little cafe serving tea, coffee and breakfasts. The shop is limited to balls, tees, hats and gloves. The course does get a little wet sometimes and the greens are not perfect but it is all acceptable for the price (around £15 for 18 holes). My favourite course north of Leeds because of the layout, the quietness, the cost and the inclusive atmosphere.

After heavy rain it's held up well
A. W.
Great course it's got plenty of decent hazards, and some really wide fairways too, a good mix.
J. W.
First round today, played on the village before boggy in places but been raining for weeks so understandable great course mix and match loved it frienly and quiet cheers
J. M.
Good grub friendly course but in poor condition due to lack of proper greens and no watering system. Its too expensive for what it is compared to being able to play on proper golf courses for less
P. T.
Good course 14 holes decent walk and not too long after a day at work
J. L.
Be an excellent course if not water logged.
Shane it's now only 14 hole course.
But good for excercise

Nice relaxed atmosphere, well kept and decent prices. Also you don't get held up much, if your new to golf or an average player it's a good place to gain experience.
J. D.
Great course for a casual player
J. F.
Well kept golf course. Enjoyed it.

This is a great course to play with lots of trees and water to contend with. Has a good little cafe that does a great bacon sandwich along with home made cakes.
M. M.
Played weds this week, only 12 pounds but got to say the greens are shocking, and some of the rough for instance just behind the greens the tenth needs trimming, best part of the day the lady in the clubhouse was lovely,
S. D.
Well kept but some people need to learn to replace divots it is wet on some holes and only 14 but you can repeat 4 to make 18 overall very satisfied
H. W.
Pretty well kept for a pay and play course. Only problem is that as its on a hill it gets fairly boggy towards the bottom of the course
R. A.
Good green to pay and play on. Currently 14 holes during COVID instead of the 18 holes.
D. J.
Been going for over 10 year great course and is getting better nice staff good food and a hot fire when its cold
W.
Nice little golf course. 18 holes in quite a small footprint. Well kept and not too difficult.
W. C.
Not a bad pay and play. Greens could do with some maintenance but overall it's a decent round and well worth the relatively cheap price.
T. A.
Not always in the best shape, especially a couple of the greens, but a really good golf course with good variation in holes.
M. G.
A good short challenging course with water and ditches.
P. W.
Pay and play course, unfortunately reduced to 14 holes but still an enjoyable challenge.
D. H.
Only 14 holes but good little course for the price
T. M.

Very quiet and beautifully peaceful today, except the expletive frustrated golfers 😆
L. H.
Great course to play on, does get a bit of water standing on some holes so be wary if its been raining

learned to play golf here back in the day, still call back a couple of times a year to practice before i play the bigger courses. its harder than you think due to narrow fairways, i always play the first 4 holes again at the end to get 18 holes in. staff very friendly.
