J. D.Just to say a really big thanks to Jemma and her team for a fantastic days racing we organised a party of 14 in the restaurant most first time horse racing food superb service superb absolutely chuffed with the day and how we where treated from beginning to end . Recommend to anyone.
C. G.Nice course - the staff in Qwners and Trainers looked after us - the day was made even more special when our Noel Fehily Sy dicate horse Love Envoi won the Mares Novice Hurdle on debut.
C. S.Really good display of fireworks The ABBA show was a bit of let down though they wasn't that good also you couldn't hear Wes Morgan talking when he was on stage.

Only draw back was how very expensive the food truck was. £5.00 for a burger, then a £1.00 extra for cheese etc. Extortionate. Apart from that the staff and Gate people were excellent.

R. P.Biased review as was lucky enough to receive complimentary tickets as well as being hosted in an executive box. Can't comment on public facilities such as bars etc as did not use.

S. N.Good regional course. Great views of the course from the main stand. Only downside Cask Ale bar was shut which apparently is common at this time of year.

R. S.This was my first time at race meeting. Though I'd seen them on TV. This was a new event in their calendar a 'Veteran's Race Day', aimed at former military personnel. A reduced entry fee was supplemented with complimentary tea/coffee. Also a drink and food vouchers, assuming certain criteria were met. All races were over hurdles. Each race was sponsored by different military groups. These included the Royal Air Forces Assc and the Coldstream Guards Assc. Though overcast with a cold wind. It was an enjoyable experience. If it's proved successful, I assume it will be repeated.

H. S.Fire work display was awesome here. Atmosphere was family friendly and fun. A very well organised event with a reasonable sized fun fair. Car park was very busy and a headache to exit, this was not an issue for me and my family as we parked nearby and walked in. We will definitely go again next year. The only issue was the stage was too far away from the audience so we could not properly enjoy the shows (not the fireworks) or even hear it fully due to the nearby fun fair without having a pair of decent Binoculars!

s. m.I came as an owner yesterday (28th Nov) and did not enjoy the O&T facilities. A marquee in freezing conditions, a make shift bar and tea/ coffee facilities. 1 TV which everyone stood around which wasn't a lot of good when you are sat at the back. Staff were friendly and place was clean but won't rush back.

B.We all went along to the Rainbows Hospice fireworks 🎆 display possible a few thousand people there 🎡 fairground and rides there was also a ABBA tribute band , a most brilliant fireworks 🎆 display must have lasted a good 25mins... only negative was getting out of the Racecourse carparks and sliproads traffic was ramed .

E. W.Only when for my flu & covid jab.Really annoyed about not being given my covid jab cos " it was to early" mistake made by my surgery Wigston Central not by the set up at Race coarse. It left me in a really bad mood as it took me 50mins to get there & 50mins to get back home !!

Viewing is very good
n. n.Went for a works Christmas party. £40 for the night with a 3 course meal. £70 gave you wine, beers and soft drinks all night. There was a dj playing the normal music everyone wants to dance to. Food was good and vegetarian option was tasty too. Friendly helpful staff and security. We all had a good night and said we'd definitely go back.

M.Have not been to the racecourse/golf course for many years and my suggested that we should go to the driving range and what a pleasure it was too, it was a good bit of father daughter time spent together and we both had a good time. I was impressed with the driving range and the different things you can do to make it more pleasurable rather than just hitting golf balls, the gentleman who assists us in the reception area of the clubhouse was very friendly and also very helpful and i was also informed that there was a 9 hole course to play.

A. J.Great venue. Function rooms a little dates and staff can be rude! Was told to quieten down for taking a business call outside, when it was at a party! Can't fault the grounds or the children's play area, beautiful! Food good too.

J.Went for the family day but have been here on other days also. The staff are very helpful (just a shame they couldn't help me win any bets 😂) the grounds are always kept very clean and free of rubbish. Standard prices for food and drinks as of any sporting venue, worth a day out!
n. p.A fantastic venue, i was there for a friends wedding reception. This venue was well done up with very good facilities. It has a large parking area which helped and it also fitted a very large guest list. One of the best venues I've been to.
S. A.Very much a horseman's course. The facilities are basic, but the track is very good. Take some binoculars because the screens are not large. Allow time for traffic during the week at peak hours.

S. M.Many a happy memory here. I never win like, but had some good laughs here. Especially like the race nights where they have a concert after we did cafe del racecourse or something like that. Spent too much but had a good time

Was a good night overall with the children's fireworks and the adult ones. My daughters had lots of fun. There was also fairground attractions.
Only downside was exiting after the show. Car park situation was awful. Took over 40 minutes to leave.

T. K.Not a bad course. We went on gentlemens day and the toilets are busy as hell and you have to queue for, as are the bars. But the grounds are well kept and clean.

However-
The petty officious parking assistant "In Charge" of the disabled car park that ordered me to move my blue badge holding 16 seater minibus because I couldn't park where I've parked the last 2 Years was seriously out of order.
He stated that the parking rules had ? changed? That day? And we couldn't park. He also questioned about the badge (3 pensioners 1 with COPD, 1 DOUBLE knee op, 2 diabetic and 1 bowel cancer sufferer) lots of looking stern and shaking his head in mock disbelief, and tutting (very adult) to the point where he had to fetch another black jacketed assistant to make sure we moved!
I've spent 21 years in the military, I know not to argue against petty officious people, it isn't worth it. I was more than happy to drop off my passengers as I'm perfectly capable of walking around the race course. But this gentleman was very discourteous and slightly deranged in my personal opinion. Luckily enough the white and blue shirt wearing parking assistant told me what to do and how to get to where I needed to be, a polar opposite of his oppo! I will not say what he called him but it summed up the situation quite succinctly 😀 A sad and pointless non-argument especially as I took photos of a minibus parked in the car park and our minibus would have been on the grass at the rear of the park by the Molson Coors vans which was completely empty!
Just to finish I did not drive to the park directly, I was guided by course officials and as far as I am concerned, I parked where directed to by course officials. As I've done twice before. This is the last time we will go to Leicester racecourse!

p. t.Nice old track and very relaxed did la k places to get a capuchino and only standard coffee on offer made with uht milk also the Guinness was poured from a can and then placed on a machine to give it a head . Very nice parade ring and winners enclosure

B. R.We have had a couple of runners at Leicester, the Owners and trainers bar is a bit cramped but friendly enough staff.
Tight left handed track.
Has a very good Hot roast beef stall just next to the paddock, carved on demand.
S. D.Venue for horse racing and often has live music events,and things like dog shows, antiques fairs and even a motor show.located on the London road easy to get to from the motor way and has plenty of parking too.
C. S.Had a good time at lady's day with live music and the football showing! They really need more experienced staff serving drinks and quicker service, the ques went down very slow!
R. S.Recently attended the Gentleman's day that was finished off by a live group on the stage in the marquee.
Great day with great entertainment that was only spoilt by the queues for drinks and food.
Shortest queueing time was 40 minutes for drinks with over an hour being the longest.
I cannot understand why the bar staff are not better organised with some constantly pouring pints of bitter and lager while others are serving as other large venues do.
Something as simple as this would significantly reduce the queueing time and increase the enjoyment.
M. L.I like Leicester racecourse. I'm a very regular racegoer, jumps only, and an occasional visitor to Leicester. I like it a lot. Totally unpretentious, very welcoming and a great winter jumping venue. No stag parties, no bands just racing. The only thing I'd change is the paddock commentator. He's a regular around Midland racecourses and frankly he's too garalous, intrusive and somewhat patronising! My view is that the role of a commentator is to inform where required and do so accurately and with the minimum of words. In one sentence I counted 7 ums !

R. W. C. T.Ladies day event. Badly organised even though it's for charity. Food not bad but nothing go write home about. Company event, drinks package not correct on tables. Could do better.
T. M.This racecourse is great on big event days, the family day was great with lots to do for all. A free fairground was put on and a stage with radio presenters entertaining the crowds.
