What a fantastic golf course - lovely Club House - great staff with a warm welcome and excellent service - this is a proper challenge - the Greens are exceptional with the course set up beautifully and in outstanding surroundings - highly recommended

Lovely golf course with beautiful fairways & tough heather if you're off line. Ideal winter course for male senior golfers especially with a good selection of shorter par 4's & 5's. Very enjoyable.

Mixed open competition. Staff, catering and members all first class. However the course was shocking even after the harsh winter and dry summer, greens had been slit, seeded and sanded and most definitely the worst we have played on this year. Fairways also poor. This course is set inside the men's which sweeps around the outside. We examined that course which was immaculate. Won't be back next year sorry. Price for this open is more expensive than most. Also a round midweek or weekend £60-70, sorry not worth it at the moment.

Exceptional course that everyone should experience. Wonderful staff that go out of their way to be accommodating. The course has a great mix of holes with some exceptional par 3's that worth the go round. You will miss out if you pass this course by on your travels.

Fantastic experience at Formby Ladies. A wonderful welcome from members and staff alike. 12 of us visiting for the first time. We were looked after so well by the catering staff beforehand. And the course was immaculate - as good as I have played.

Best course I've played this year. Finished with clean shoes,no water , no mud ..... just perfect tees , fairways & greens . Soup and sandwiches afterwards were very nice. Staff nice and friendly. Would play this course every week if I could.

We played Formby Ladies on Sunday September 8th 2019, on the final day of our annual Beamsley Cup weekend. Although a little more pricey than Heswall, Formby Hall and Hesjeth golf clubs as a group of 20 men we were made to feel very welcome. The course although a bit shorter in comparison with the others this was by far the best course we played over the weekend! The course condition was fantastic, the greens slick and in great condition. Try to stay on the fairways as the heather is short but brutal to get out of! Afterwards we had soup and sandwiches in the ladies clubhouse, a group photo before heading home. Throughout the round, with us not knowing the course and the intensity of our match play games we did unfortunately hold up some lady members, who we apologised to but they were more than happy to stay behind our groups and stood back having a giggle at our efforts. As it was the same weekend as the Southport air show we had a free air show to admire in the lovely weather! I would return in a shot as my family live not too far away I just wish it was a little bit cheaper.

Play here every year, although little short a great test of golf. It's my partners favorite course and somewhere she'd be a member of she lived closer. Men don't be put off this is a little gem

Formby Ladies was an excellent test of golf. Me and my partner were challenged durring the entire round without needing to hit a driver. The course was in excellent shape for late in the season and was alot of fun.

As ever Anne (Bromley ) and her team deliver an outstanding product, 3 of us played over the xmas period, the course was immaculately presented as ever, the welcome was as warm as ever! its just one of those clubs and courses which you would never tire of being part of . A true gem, it is honour to visit and play.
