I went to coach Steve as a complete beginner in order to get a crash course into golf. Coach Steve has a great teaching style that is positive and uses simple analogies to bring out complex and technical concepts. The venue is also first class. I’d highly recommend his golf in four days course to any beginner, and will be coming back for more lessons in the future!

I’ve had several lessons with Coach Steve now and I can highly recommend! In a very short space of time my golf has improved and I’ve even won my first knockout match down the club! Steve has a wonderful way of teaching, he explains things in an understandable way while still being technical. The lessons are so much fun and every time I’m learning new techniques that I can take to the course or drills to practice at home. Apart from this, it’s the confidence that Steve has given me that has improved my game the most. He is very encouraging and I’m looking forward to seeing my handicap drop over the coming months!

I have had the pleasure of working with Steve for the last few years who has helped take me from an occasional hacker with some potential to a golfer that can hold their own at any course. We are reaping the rewards at the moment with 9 strokes off my handicap index in the last few months, and there's still plenty of work to do. Steve has helped me gain confidence in using longer clubs off the tee giving me more looks at lower scores, and the driver is next up to be conquered. The venue at Urban Golf is first class, and allows me to get sessions in with Steve around work. Highly recommended.

The lessons are fun and very helpful, and his methods of teaching are easy to understand and follow. He also makes sure you stay confident throughout each lesson! Would highly recommend :)

Had lessons with Steve over a number of years and he is a fantastic coach. He has a real knack for bringing the lesson to life so it is very clear what you are trying to achieve and providing swing thoughts and drills to make it stick. Personally I have gone from hacker to low handicap golfer. Nothing but praise for both Steve and James and the venue is conducive to coaching which is an added bonus.

I started lessons with Steve when I was at my lowest ebb, since starting with him I've hit better golf scores than ever before. Apart from his friendly nature, what I really like about Steve's tuition is he isn't trying to teach you just one way. If you do something that isn't completely textbook but works for you he will work on improving that as opposed to starting everything from scratch. Then areas that do need a complete rework, he is capable of doing that too. Would definitely recommend as a coach.

I booked in with Steve Smith for a block of 5 lessons and looking back I am very pleased I made the decision. Steve is a great guy and golf coach, the lessons are good fun and at the same time very educational. Steve has a wide array of drills and ideas that he runs past you and finds what fits for you. I really liked his approach, and his methods were easy to understand. All in all I am out the other side of my lessons a more confident golfer and shooting lower scores - a good result! Would highly recommend.

Top notch facilities with some great food and drinks available. I've been coached by Steve Smith for a fair while now and thoroughly enjoy it. My handicap has come down having previously been frustratingly static and what's been great is it is because Steve has worked with what I have rather than deconstruct everything! Steve has helped me see the bigger picture for when on the golf course and also adds in some fun competitive elements to the lessons to give some of that real world pressure sensation when out on the course.

Being completely new to golf, it was important to get a coach that would instinctively understand how to teach the technical side without the pressure of trying to get good fast.
