We love it here. It's not what you'd expect of a golf club but if you want genuine people with a relaxed atmosphere this is the place for you. There are some cosmetic changes that need to be made to improve the general appearance. The nets need replacing as they look shabby but the course is great and the greens are well taken care of.

3 years a member now and just like to let everyone know what a fantastic course it is. Looked after perfectly by the groundsmen and the bar and staff are brilliant. I'm hoping to upgrade my clubs from the store later this year

Great night private party. Venue was very good. Very pleasant surroundings chairs comfortable to sit on. Room was just the right size for group. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend for private functions.

Really suits the longer hitters. Couldn't fault the greens ..and Hospitality..9 imaculate.. Nice Layout.. booking was a 2minute call.the local golfers really friendly and helpful.. Went round with my wife and she enjoyed it. No aires and graces.. A. great value golf course.

Long story short, It's an average course at best. Very Straight, as long as you can hit straight, you'll be hitting fairways and greens in regulation no problem. The fairways are open and the course is forgiving in that sense, if you hook or push shots off the tee, you'll end up on the next or previous holes fairway, so you can play 2nd shots from decent ground. The fairways aren't the best, most are quite bumpy ( like moguls) rather than like a snooker table! Greens not particularly difficult, mostly flat with slight left to right or right to left, but nothing too taxing. I would say this is a good starting course for those who are learning to play. For the more competent golfer I would look for a challenge elsewhere. Wouldn't pay more than £15 to play here (tops!)

Played NUGC just after 1st lockdown so any gold would of been great,just to get out,but this course is a monster for a high handicapper,enjoyable off the tee,some great long holes,fairways and greens are immaculate well done to the groundsmen

We held our Monthly Golf Society outing here and were lucky with fine weather. I had never played this course before but was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for all standard of golfers within our Society. The Greens were excellent . The Catering was OK and we were made to feel very welcome

Nice course for £15, not too difficult for beginners but enough of a challenge for lower handicap players. Staff are really friendly too and decent prices in the clubhouse.

Here for a birthday 🎂🍹🕺 party . The room was quite pleasant with a disco and great DJ who also sang🎤. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very warm atmosphere in the room a good time was had by all 😀.Then the heating went off 😞 which seems to be normal . Time for the buffet yummy not . Not what was expected 😞😞 very disappointed but still the party carried on with coats on💃🕺🎸🍹🍷🥃.

The newcastle united golf club facilities at the club house were hired for a reception for a funeral by our dear friends. The staff could not be more friendly and efficient. Super buffet and facilities were excellent.

Good testing golf course but dog walkers ruin it even with a huge field next door they still persist on walking dogs across the course even whilst shots are being played.
