Where do I start? I stumbled across Cleve Lodge because our original venue had gone bust. I was a bit worried as there doesn’t seem to be many reviews online BUT Ineed not fear. When we arrived to ook around the lodge itself is quite a unique building, it doesn’t have fancy grounds but we were acutely aware that pretty grounds are not the be all and end all after all you spend most of your time sat eating or dancing right? Joanna was lovely an absolute joy to work with, she tailored the menu to exactly what we wanted and did so at a snippet of the price other places wanted to charge. She was accommodating with every need and allowed us to have the day we expected with no fuss. The food was delicious, we had afternoon tea instead of a wedding breakfast and in the evening currys with all the sides! The venue did get quite warm in the evening so a few guests went to cool off outside. The bar was well stocked and managed. The toilets clean. The venue looked beautiful. Thank you for helping us with our dream day!

Nice, clean old masonic building set back in a peaceful stretch of land between West park and the main Derby road. Perfect for venues, with a large car park and lovely bar. Access along Elm Avenue can be a bit tricky, as its so narrow.

What an absolutely lovely place to get a Covid and Flu jab! Such a warm and beautiful place with plenty of room to host events! The grounds were immaculate and the team were courteous and friendly.

Used as an NHS vaccination site. Lovely environment, friendly staff, efficient process. Car park a bit limited if it happened to get busy, and the car park entrance/ exit is a bit short on visibility for oncoming vehicles.

Lovely Christmas meal, well cooked and presented. We had a Brass Band who played Christmas Carols during and after the meal, very festive.

Little things like smiling when serving at bar would get the 5th star. Nice venue for an intimate family wedding function. Buffet was tasty with right amount of food.

It was quick easy to get my Covid jab only problem was the fact where to had to go on side it wasn't Disabled Friendly it had 2 Awkward steps in there defence it was a side door so I'm guessing it wasn't a normal entrance

We got married here in 2019. Lovely staff which helped us throughout the organisation. Very welcoming and friendly. Wasn't too expensive. Always lovely and clean, well decorated. Lovely lay out different areas for different ideas. Food was amazing lots of people were very impressed with it. Timings were a little off as I arrived when everyone was outside including my groom! so that annoyed me. But luckily he didn't look at me. (Staff were sorting that) I didn't let it ruin the day though. I would recommend this venue. Its only round the corner from our house so I was very keen to have one very close to home with this town being very special to us. It's definitely long eatons best kept secret!

Wow, where should I start. We had our wedding at Cleve Lodge 14th of April. Jo, Sarah and their team were incredible, from the day the wedding was booked right up untill we left the doors at the end of the night on our wedding day. The communication was second to none, the food was incredible. They made the day flow seamlessly, these ladies know what they are doing. I cannot express our gratitude and Thanks on behalf of my Husband and I. We are truly grateful. We had the best day ever. Thank you so much, Mr & Mrs Driffill.

I recently attended a Wedding here and was pleasantly surprised at the venue. I would certainly consider booking a function here in the future.

My daughter had her wedding reception here and it was amazing. The room was perfect with a separate bar. The food was served quickly and very efficiently by the staff at the venue. I have to thank Denise and her team for all the effort they put into making my daughters wedding so special. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Denise did a fantastic job at announcing the arrival of the bride and groom for the meal as well as organising the staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending the venue to anyone and if you booked here you would not be disappointed.

Had my Mums 95th birthday celebration here yesterday 08/04/18 was really good . Cannot recommend Cleve Lodge enough ,they were great . We had like an afternoon tea party and the food was lovely, the cakes and scones were scrumptious. The staff are always willing to help and if asked for something always obliging. Johanna is brill and helped me from the start with good ideas on how tables, settings ,music ,decorations could be done. Thank you Johanna. The Cleve Lodge is a nice place ,comfortable and clean ,added bonus has its own car park. Thank you to all at Cleve Lodge we had a great day.

We had our wedding here on 1st July and it couldn't have been any better. We first booked it based on the impressive building and options available. Denise couldn't have done any more to help us plan everything down to the last detail and because of this everything went exactly to plan. The food was amazing and the speed of service was really quick from all of the staff. If you're looking for somewhere for a wedding or a party then definitely go here.

We held our annual dinner here, with over a hundred members in attendance, and the food and service were excellent. We know how challenging it is to serve so many at once but they achieved it superbly. The staff in the bar were very good and the bar prices were very reasonable - unlike some venues. They also transformed the dining room (to allow dancing) in the time it took us to have a drink in the bar. The whole evening was really well organised and we will definitely be returning.

We had a seminar with around 70 people, the room laid out theatre style worked really well and there was plenty of car parking at the venue which is really close to the M1 junction. The staff were really helpful in advance and on the day everything went very well. Food was served on time and there was no shortage of coffees or water for the delegates.

Held my 16th birthday here, it was amazing! Staff were nothing but helpful, gave us ideas, helped us set up the room and take things down as well as opening in advance so we could decorate the room. My parents had their 50th wedding anniversary party at Cleve Lodge at the weekend. I can not speak highly enough of the staff or the venue. Denise and Linda both worked so hard to deliver a fantastic occasion for my parents. The dining room looked beautiful, and attention to detail was first class. Denise catered for all the guests needs, and made special efforts to ensure all was in top order when the guests entered the dining room. The ladies behind the bar did a superb job of serving all the guests, and making it a pleasurable occasion. The venue was fab, the bar area really complimented the dining room and it was a perfect set up for pre and post dinner drinks. I would highly recommend the venue and staff for family, wedding or business events. A big thank you to all who made my parents special occasion so memorable. Helen Walker.

I married the love of my life here on 30th July 2016 and cannot believe how smooth things were at Cleve Lodge. The food was fantastic and the room was brilliant. Denise went above and beyond her duties and, at times, acted as more of a wedding planner. We didn't feel ever that we were just another pair of customers but rather that we was part of the family that is Cleve Lodge. Don't always believe that a wedding breakfast should be expensive! whilst Cleve Lodge don't have 'packages' we went to them with our requirements and our budget and they came up with something perfect and even saved me money.... Don't just take my word for it, pick up the phone and try them...you won't be disappointed.

I have used Cleeve Lodge for work meetings and conferences and we are always really well looked after, Denise and her team are brilliant and pulled out all the stops for a formal Sunday lunch for 60. The room decorations and table settings where really appropriate and the food and service were excellence, thanks to all the team for working so hard to put on a great event.
