All the staff are excellent at the Preston store, always get really good advice and never get the hard sell when I shop here, quite the opposite as they want to help with your game. Side note to head office…The store is in need of a refurbishment as internally it looks dated with old carpet and ceiling tiles along with a mix of halogen and LED lights that doesn’t make for a pleasant shopping experience.

Great staff and experience for club fitting, which I hope to use soon. Took of a star as only one make of golf sunglasses, which I was hoping to purchase and it seems American Golf are not focused on offering them.

Went for a club MOT today for the first time at American Golf Preston Was introduced to Jack, who went through the process and then proceeded to check out my golf game and club setup. Got on really well with Jack and had a very enjoyable experience, would recommend it to anyone. At no point did he try and upsell any new equipment, which is what I expected, in fact I had to ask to see what new equipment would offer me. Now I’m sure if my golf clubs were wrong for my game or I had gaps in my distances they would have offered new equipment to try.

Went in to use a voucher didn't have what I wanted but a staff member ordered what I wanted with no problem, pick it in a couple of days. Shop nice and clean. Will visit again.

Brilliant customer service bought a new set of irons . No hard sell at all very helpful with lots of extra advice about wedges defo a big thumbs up from me. I even talked about getting a new putter off e-bay and they said good luck they didn't even pressure me into buying a putter off them excellent customer service.

Sometimes people might have the perception that at American Golf, whilst being a large retailer with lots of choice the personal service and attention you would get at a local professional shop would be missing - that is absolutely not the case with American Golf Preston. The true mark of a business and store is not just how they sell but how they deal with the difficult situations where sometimes things don't go right - and in this area American Golf Preston and the team score 10/10 in this area given my experience that follows.... I'd bought some taylormade m4 irons which had become rusty within 12 months of purchase despite being looked after correctly. I returned them to American Golf Preston. Mark dealt with the complaint initially. He dealt with the issue with a great deal of empathy and understanding. Mark exceeds at this, really connecting with the customer and is a role model to others in this way with his exceptionally interpersonal way of doing business - a real people person. Whilst waiting for the irons to be replaced the manager of the store James kept in regular contact via phone, communication was excellent, expectations set clearly around timescales at a tricky time of year and 10/10 for professionalism again with James, a different style to Mark but non the less very personable and professional. Very happy with how he dealt with the situation. The irons were replaced - I then decided to trade in and upgrade to a set of Mizuno's. Leonardo then stepped in with the custom fitting, again another very good customer service experience, he was very thorough around shaft selection etc - when being fitted it's important to feel that you are not on a production line being rushed onto the next customer. This was not the case - it was an excellent custom fitting experience. All in all a massive well done and thank you to the team that is American Golf Preston, a role model to other American Golf stores across the country - get in their store at Preston and support them as much as you can at this time.

Knowledgeable staff providing honest advice and not just selling you the latest most expensive bit of kit, but helping and advising the best for you Very friendly and helpful. Visited last week for husbands new golf clubs. Big advertising posters saying sale 50%off. The assistants were helpful and we did buy full set of clubs but none of them were in the sale. No January sale at this shop posters a little misleading

The shop was well laid out and I found the area I was looking for quickly. The exact item I had identified on the website so I approached one of the staff. He was more than helpful as he said they did not have that item in stock but could order it. They did have another item from the same company so asked if I would like to try it on to work out which size was required This I did and the item was ordered. I have not got it yet but that is no fault of American golf as a courier has called 3 times but I was out at work. They are coming back tomorrow and I will be in to get it. The only negative at the store was there was only 1 till and when we went to ordering someone else was using it. There were problems in putting that order through so I needed to wait longer than would have been necessary if the was another till.
