I remember starting work at Caversham Heath back in late 1999 and opened the club in Feb / March 2000. I was there until 2010 until I left for California. It was a blast to come back after such a long time to see the changes. BIG thanks to Jaime (Dir of Golf) and Merv Jones whom hosted us. Had a thoroughly great day. My honest first impressions were not good. The dodgy sign post, the overgrown grass in the parking lot and the lack of maintenance around the clubhouse was a shock. BUT once we had a beer and chatted, we were shown the reason why. They have big plans (£1.7mil) to completely renovate the whole clubhouse to something special. Obviously the golf course is the most important factor and Jon Scoones and his team are gradually changing the whole layout to something amazing. The introduction of the NEW first hole, 2nd par 3 and other additions are great! Loved the new #9 green and meeting Kerry in the halfway house. Great touch by the food and beverage Dir. The course always had great fairways, possibly some of the best around ALL year round. The greens rolled great and looked super healthy. Bunkers played great, albeit I only hit one on 13 and made par. For sure there’s lots going on. But all for the good. The new 18th green near the clubhouse played great! I also loved the new practice green. I can’t wait to come back and see what they do with entryway, clubhouse and surrounds. Loved it and for sure, this will be one of the best clubs in Berkshire, maybe the south of England. Thanks for entertaining myself, my brother Matt and my good friend Jamal. Until next time.

Four star at the moment, but a strong 5 star in prospect when improvement works complete and bed down Course just been redeveloped (reopened April 2021) has a good layout with lots of challenging and interesting holes (bunkers, hazards, doglegs) When we played it course was fast which is the intention given it characterizes itself as an inland links. Greens have a variety of slopes on them which adds to the links style feel. Oh nearly forgot the views - good vistas over the countryside of the Thames Valley Make sure you update your GPS devices before play otherwise you will be like us, playing old style golf with limited distance information We will be coming back to play again.

Personally I'm not a fan of this course! It reminds me of an ex of mine who had no feelings, such as the total number of bunkers around the course matched the number of £50 notes she took from me promising she'll pay it back...let's say I'm in the red & that matches the number of balls I nursed from the sands. I normally play off 12 but here I was questioning whether the money I spent on my clubs was even justified! If you want to question whether you should ever play golf again then go here "home of bunkers".

Great venue if you're thinking of hiring a room. Lovely views of the golf course. The rates are brilliant, staff were more than amazing and the food they laid on was absolutely lovely. Easy to hook up your own music too. Highly recommend this place. The only problem was the postcode as lots of guests had funny stories of ending up on hole 18 with their car driving what seemed to be the actual golf course. Quite funny really. Thanks again guys. Savannah was really spoilt on her 1st birthday 😁

The course is long and testing but very playable. Green are tricky leading to a lot of 3 putts! Very pleasant clubhouse with good selection of drinks and great food - must be the best bacon bun in the South East.

Very biased as it is my own club, but I have to say that it is one of the friendliest clubs around, staff, members even the walkers stop and say hi. All in all a great day out on a great course that is playable 12 months of the year.

Excellent golf course, even after heavy rain this course drains very well and is open 12 months of the year (unlike many other local courses). Clubhouse overlooks the course and which serves excellent food.

Caversham Heath is a golf course playable in all weathers and is especially good in the winter, when other nearby courses tend to be closed or severely affected by opting for temporary greens. In two years I've been playing the course, not once has it been on temporary greens. The clubhouse and pro shop offer an informal, yet friendly customer experience with professional and attentive staff. Give it a go, you wont be disappointed!

Venue is Ok. The trouble with this place is locating it! Google maps and Sat Nav’s send you up by the 17th and the venue clubhouse isn’t clearly signposted from the country lane it’s on. We had to call a local to guide us in. If you’re arriving at night make sure to ask the venue to point you in the right direction. I still don’t know the actual address of the club house! The website also needs to make clear where the club house entrance is also. The venue itself is quite nice, nothing special in my opinion. Food was average, as was the lager.

Superb club and course. Every aspect of this club has impressed me whenever I've had the chance to visit. A warm welcome, good food, decent facilities and excellent golf is my experience here. The course is a real challenge for every golfer where good shots are rewarded and poor shots are punished. Some of the holes are visually stunning as well which just adds to the appeal. I have played a few times and the course is always in great condition in my experience. This is one of the few courses that I have played where I would be extremely happy to be a member. My recommendation is to pay it a visit as soon as is possible...

Great course in lovely condition and a good test of your golfing skills with some testing holes that require good ball positioning and length off the Tee. Greens are currently a bit shaggy (April) but very even but that is down to keeping them slightly long coming out of the winter season. The staff are friendly and helpful and the club has excellent facilities. A pleasure to play and I will be back.
