Today I went to the AG shop in Stoke, to try out a selection of mallet putters. Andy (member of staff) was very helpful and gave me around 45 minutes of his time. It was really appreciated, so thank you! SG

Well stocked with the usual mainstream branded goods, but very slightly over aggressive sales staff (rather than merely helpful, I got the impression of sales targets needing to be met). The premises is slightly too small to merit 5 stars.

Took my youngest son for his first set of golf clubs and found the experience very good, the store pro spent time with my son looking at his swing and then recommending the clubs he said would suit him. He didn't try to sell the high brand expensive clubs just the ones that would suit my sons level.

Brilliant from the moment I walked in to the moment I left with my new Mini Aero-Burner driver. All the staff were great, very friendly and very helpful particulalry when explaining the computer data that was collected when I used each club in the net at the back of the store. They asked all the relevant questions regarding my previous clubs, hanidcap and where I played. After that a few recomendations were made and we tried several diffferent clubs and different set ups and after reviewing the data we worked towards ensuring that I walked out with the best driver for me, not for the till sales. Nothing was left untouched, I was even allowed a few swings with an iron to warm up and ensure that I was striking the ball well enough not to scew the data. I was there for well over an hour but never once felt like I was wasting the staffs time or thier interest dampened in ensuring that they reccomended the best club for me, irrespective of price or brand. Cannot speak highly enough of the experience and I will be going back there for sure when my 5 wood needs an update.
