Attend a wedding here last night and had the best wedding buffet ever. The food was delicious with lots of different dishes. My best bit was the mini quiches that just melted in your mouth. The ladies that cooked and serve the food were brilliant so hats off to the buffet queens 👍👍👍👍👍

Paid 14 pounds for 9 holes on a sunny September afternoon. As the full 18 holes price is only 18 pounds this price does not encourage the 9 hole golfer. The welcome in the new clubshop was warm enough but the problem was apparent on the first tee with there being a bottleneck straight away. I joined up with another visitor but I had to leave after 2 hours and only playing 7 holes. The pace of play was horrendous, members were walking off the course too. A young lad having a playing lesson with his dad compounding issues. We want to encourage the next generation but the practice ground on a Sunday afternoon would have been better all round...course was in good condition just a shame I couldn't enjoy it at such a slow pace. Unfortunately I won't be rushing back.

I love this course. Think I'll stay a member until I'm dead that's how much I enjoy playing at Alder Root. Highly recommended to my customers and friends. Huge value for money in Warrington for Golf. This course is actually one of those places many people don't know about until they get taken by a friend. With the 25 year anniversary this coming May 2018 it's sure to be a very exciting year. Refurbished club house has brought much needed life back into the building. With course work improving week on week it's soon to be at a much higher level for amateur golfers.

Had my husband's 65th birthday party here, it was a lovely setting, the staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was lovely and plenty for everybody, all in all had a brilliant night.

Alder root golf club is a good course to play. very tricky in parts and it makes you think about your shots staff are very friendly and the pro shop is worth a visit.

A hidden gem. Only a 10 hole course. You play 2-9 twice. 1st and the 10th you play once. 2-9 & 11-18 are the same greens but different tee's. Making for a different challenge. One of my favourite golf holes anywhere is the 5th (& 14th). Par 4, 257 yards, 200 yards to dog leg right, 60 yards to an island green and just to make it even harder, a 40ft Oak tree in front of the green. £9 per round, bargain.
