Considering its free to do, my recent club fitting was pretty good. Friendly and helpful team there and has given me a much better idea which sort of clubs i should be looking at. In terms of the shop itself it has to be said its not great. Too much of certain brands and not enough of other more renowned ones. Prices are not competitive unless on the sale rails.

Maybe a one off but the store opening time is 10am but when I gote there it was closed, manager was running late, finally it opened at 10.30ish. Otherwise spoke to another staff who was very helpful and good I manage to find a store near me that I can visit.

When you get here check in straight away. If your number is higher than 20 it will take about an hour or two before you play, go to the Atria watford mall to kill some time. If you're higher than 40 it will take 3 to 4 hours before you play. The mall is about a 5 min drive.

Just come back from a most informative experience in the club fitting area, I had suspicions about my drivers and actual length off the tee, but with guidance from American Golf Staff member Ash we were able to get the optimum for me with regard to any new equipment. As a customer I felt I was with a knowledgeable Golfer giving sound advise and I never felt under any pressure to buy. Many thanks for your help, Colin.

Great thing about the shop at Watford is the excellent staff who work there. They have to have a good sense of humour for all the mucking about they must get from wannabe Woods with all the waffle (like me!) - they also have a canny way of selling stuff - never been there yet without walking out with something to "cut a few off the next round"! I went in there the other week and they'd locked up but the member of staff who was walking out kindly opened up and sold me a new pair of shoes. I needed them and he rightly could have legged it - but didn't. Top place.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. I had already chosen to purchase this set of clubs before visiting the store, and the lady was able to find them straight away.
