Lovely walk (public right of way) across the golf course (keep to the marked path). You can park opposite the clubhouse but not many spaces. You are not allowed in the clubhouse unless you are a member.

This was our second visit following our trip last year. The clubhouse welcome was first class. The weather was good, with a slight wind. I think "quirky" is the best description of the course but a good test of golf. I enjoyed it more the second time of playing, but that applies to most clubs you visit. Anyone thinking of a golf trip to Northumberland should include Bamburgh Castle. The views are fabulous.

Played this on a sunny Sunday evening for the first time. Wondered why the course was so short at just over 5000yds, found out when I stepped onto the 1st tee, the wind blows an absolute gale on the course. Course condition is decent, nice to play it but I doubt I would play it again. The course is very up and down, couple that with a lot of blind holes so even if you think you hit the fairway with your tee shot there is no guarantee its going to be there when you get around corner. Great views from nearly every corner of the course but for me personally I would rather play Goswick or Dunstanburgh.

This golf course is blessed with some of the most incredible land and sea vistas in Northumberland. The course itself winds through granite rock and gullies which makes for interesting Drives and tee shots to keep the golfer at all times alert. And if the wind blows, refuge can be sought in the comfortable club house with excellent food and drink where once again views of the castle and coastline can be admired after a hectic round of golf.

I'm local and played Bamburgh for first time in 35 years of golfing. Now I know why it is so popular. Stunning scenery and really interesting course, you feel like you're on an East Lothian course. Only 10 holes open but recompensed by lower fee by very helpful and welcoming staff. Out on the course club manager made a point of stopping to shake my hand apologise for lack of 18 holes. I will certainly be back in the better weather. Well worth a visit.

Despite the strong winds this course is well worth a visit. It is a challenging course without the wind,however some fantastic views from some teeboxes. Good value for money and the clubhouse food is lovely.

I might add to this review at a later date but I'm a bit tired as we drive back. Think the sea air has got to me , So for now one word STUNNING. I will say this it would still be some of the best views on a course you likely to see but would be very tough in the wind or winter months.👌

thought the course was vey nice, although Goswick and Alnmouth seemed to be a little better (although Bamburgh was hyped up an awful lot more for me), would have given it 4 stars, fairways and greens were in good condition, however there was a few holes that just seemed a little tight to the next tee box for my liking, there's a few too many reachable par 4s as well, some of the views were amazing, especially looking over the bay. the few holes that play through the rocks sort of 13/14/15/16 were great too, played in January so paid a reduced rate (and played poorly so that might influence my '4 star review' Giving 5 stars to offset an angry review written by someone who didn't get a coffee and rated 1 star, we found the staff were very friendly regardless of weather you are a member or not

I played at Bamburgh today, the course is set on the sea front just outside of Bamburgh itself. The course was in excellent condition, it's quite hilly in places so if you have mobility or fitness issues get a buggy. It's a tricky course in places especially if you don't know the layout etc. The views are outstanding in all directions with the Cheviots visible inland, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne Castles and of course the beautiful coastline. Afterwards we purchased a meal from the club house, it was excellent, tasty and freshly cooked. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

I do not understand how anyone could score this course less than 5 stars. This is a very well maintained golf course in a great location. You will not find many golf courses in England with better views than this one. Well worth a game if you have the opportunity.

A fabulous round of golf on a great course with stunning views. Challenging but scoreable. The disappointment came with some of the rude members and an unwelcoming atmosphere in the clubhouse. The waitress and manager did not make the 12 of us welcome and it felt like ordering a simple pint was a huge chore. Disappointing.

Quirky, beautiful, lots of fun. It's not a championship course simply because it's not very long but with such a variety of blind shots, carries, wonderful views, it's a perfect course for a very enjoyable round. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic place, some of the best and hardest par 3s I've ever played, not many par 3s 202 yrds 100ft up hill into wind are S.I. 1 😂 The scenery is another level, the 15th tee box being an amazing 360 degree veiw of the beach, sea, course and the gorgeous bamburgh castle Staff where great, great pint and very friendly people, can't wait to go back
