Good 18 hole golf course set in a lovely location. Well kept, though some of the rough grass is long and took a while to find the ball. Some challenging holes over water but good. Friendly players on the course and helpful in the club shop. Will play again.

Had a quick 9 holes here in the searing heat last week, brilliant. Ready for a revisit when they go back to 18. Lovely setting, beautiful river Ure (& a couple of midges) - oh Midge Ure! Great afters - beer & quality sandwich in a luxury setting, tremendous value & well looked after. Easy to get to if you ignore SatNav & go thru Whixley/Little Ouseburn. Enjoy.

I went for a basic spa day here and the staff do really make you feel welcome. It is easy to get to but really set out of the way in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside. I think in general it is an expensive place; the food is great but was disappointed with the coffee. However they were courteous and helpful to my girlfriends non dairy requirements and the spa was super clean and had great facilities. Check living social and groupon for a cost effective way of visiting here, and don’t forget to enjoy the grounds, they’re definitely free...

The pro was very welcoming and helpful. The course was a delight. Some gentle holes at the start to get you going, but some challenges lurking further in. As an 18 handicapper I found it enough of a challenge. I felt that I had a chance on every hole if I performed. I go go on these trips for enjoyment, not to tangle with brutal holes and evil greens. Too old and not good enough for that nonsense. The course is a pleasant parkland course and the greens were very true even late September. I booked via GolfBreaks and the package was excellent value.

A great, well established course with quick greens and a wonderful way to spoil a good walk. The par three 18th is the feature hole here, with a large expanse of water to punish effectively those wayward shots. Over the other side of the river, stand out holes include a dog leg left par 5 and another shot over water that needs careful attention to lay up after a long tee shot, lest it end up in the drink. All in all a brilliant 18 holes in glorious surroundings and what looks like a great hotel and spa if you're spending the night.

We were welcomed by the course professional a very nice person and nothing was too much when any questions or requests were put to him the other staff were very good. The course was first class a credit to the green keepers we will certainly visit again.

Course is ok, better over the river than on the hotel side. Good variety of holes but several on the short side, typical of a hotel course.
The pro-shop was poor, very seldom open, probably suggest you give it a miss if your not staying here.

It's a lovely hotel and the Spa pool area and spa treatments are spot on. The food is also lovely. The staff are especially friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and the price is good as it includes a spa treatment of ur choice, use of the pool, jacuzzi and sauna/steam rooms. Also breakfast, lunch and evening meal. All of which is very enjoyable.

Absolutely loved having our 25th Wedding anniversary here. The staff have been wonderful both for the spa and golf that we chose to use on this occasion. A special thank you to Jen Tree the events manager who as done a great job through out.
Highly recommended.
Once again thanks to all at Aldwark Manor.

1st game after lockdown spoilt by redevelopment work being carried out, only back 9 in use, couple of greens in poor condition.
Looking forward to the course getting back to its usual standard, hopefully soon.

Quite a short course, but don't let that fool you, it's pretty challenging on a lot of the holes. It's well cared for, comes at a decent price and is worth a visit. The club Pro was an absolute bell end though, and was like Mickey Pearce from only fools and horses

Under staffed hotel not as good service as we have had in the past. one girl on the bar serving over 60 golfer .breakfast had one staff seating and replenishing food hence no food filled up till we told her.after discussing this we are thinking of removing your hotel from our 8 weekends to venues we do a year

Beautiful property and sensitively extended to offer more facilities (i.e. golf, spa, etc.) and set in splended grounds within a quaint village. Would definitely recommend.

Course was very boggy in places and still winter greens in play. Well priced and nice setting
A. H.
Great place no problems good well maintained course
Shame about positioning of septic tank on one hole
C. S.
Hotel nice but spoilt by inconsideration of other guests. I'll be sure to check whether there will be any stag parties next time.

Hard to rate today as coarse very wet with standing water and all but one green on winter cuts but it was open when all other courses in the area were closed.
J. C.
Even though the course was very wet it still played well. A great set up.
