I joined scope at the beginning of January with little hope of achievement. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I have increased levels of energy, my attitude towards life has improved and I can see physical change. This is the first time after all my years going to a gym that I have seen actual results. The coaches are all very helpful and take time to help individually when needed. The variety and flexibility of the gym also suits my lifestyle. I can't wait for the results over the next few weeks!

From the moment I joined scopehealthandfitness, I connected with so many of the members already there. Everyone at scope is welcomed and made feel at ease, regardless of your age, gender, or physical ability there’s absolutely no pretentiousness, I have never once walked in and felt out of place from the get go! The workouts together have never been boring, they are always changing them up so it’s not repetitive, you also get to know the members as it’s smaller classes and you easily become like friends and in some cases family! The banter and the laughs in the classes also make them that but more enjoyable too!
The coaches are all fantastic, when you join you are assigned your own coach who will go over your goals and do regular check ins with you throughout your journey! Your progress is monitored closely and adjustments are made if needed, the support and encouragement from your coach and all the rest of the coaches is phenomenal and really helps to keep you motivated when you maybe sometimes you don’t feel so motivated!
You’ll not find any coaches elsewhere as good as the guys at Scope Health and Fitness Honestly the best gym, best team and best people! It’s my Happy Place!

For the first time in my life I can truthfully say ‘I love going to the gym’. I signed up for the 28 day challenge thinking that it would be just that. I am absolutely hooked. Every single coach is knowledgable, friendly and high vibe! Other members are friendly and happy to share their story. The way things were explained to me at my initial assessment are unlike anywhere else. It’s not a one size fits all culture. 6 weeks ago I stepped through the Scope Health and Fitness door. I’ve never been to the gym before, didn’t know what to expect, was worried that I’m going to be judged. Now I wish I’ve done it earlier.
All the coaches at Scope are amazing at what they do. Because groups are small (8–12 people max) you have that quality time with your coach. And yes, they motivate you and push you to continue achieving your goals. But it’s not only about the classes. As a member you have access to many informative videos about nutrition and healthy eating, mindset, progression and development. And don’t forget about the access to all those mouthwatering recipes.
Community is another Scope benefit. I felt welcomed from the first minute I walked through the door and never felt being judged either.
All I want to say is that if you still not sure if you want to join a gym don’t think twice! Just make sure you’re joining Scope.

Since joining Scope in august I have lost fat , gained lean mass , dropped a dress size and finally feel confident in a bikini ! All the coaches at scope are extremely knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging in helping you reach your goals . I hadn’t trained for a few years and felt nervous going back to the gym but the scope family are all very friendly and supportive and I felt comfortable in my first session ! My health in general has improved , my sleep quality , skin and mental health especially. I really enjoy the small group PT sessions and look for and to going every day . My personal coach is on hand for any queries and sends messages of encouragement etc and helps with my nutrition. If you are looking to join a gym this place is worth every penny so go for it !

My mental health has also benefited greatly as I have taken time for myself and my body. I joined scope initially for the 6 week challenge, after developing a fear of going to the gym post lock down. Instantly the coaches made me feel at ease, so I continued after the 6 weeks and was given a named coach to keep me accountable and to ask any questions I should have. I’m now at a stage where everyone is commenting on the fact that I’ve lost weight and look fitter but more than that I feel much healthier and now put an effort into looking after myself.
Scope really is like a big family, you can be yourself and the whole community push you to be better. Now more than before I’m hitting more PBs and feeling stronger, I’m no longer worried about how I look, and more about how I feel, it’s beginning to turn into a bit of an addiction.
If you’re considering starting the gym and just don’t know where to start, you won’t regret joining scope!

I started at Scope doing the 6 week challenge which was fantastic! I felt very welcomed and comfortable from the get go and the results over the 6 weeks were phenomenal. The regimes are easy - anyone can do it, but never the same or boring. The music / atmosphere is really friendly and positive - I get endorphin rushes doing the work out, so probably addicted! The people staff and members are just brilliant. Would totally recommend - its a great way to loose weight and get fit!

I started with scope a year and a half ago and I can honestly say its been the best move I made in my life. I have struggled with my weight for 14 years and in that time I have tried all the diets going which would work for a short period of time and then I’d be back to square one again within a few months.
Since joining scope, I’ve gained nutritional advice, weight training experience and support from all the staff there.
Everyone has been fantastic in giving support and advice and due to that I have not went back to old habits. Yes, I’ve had days off here and there and holidays ect, but with the information on nutrition that James and the guys have gave me has helped me to retrain my thought process of it all and helps me to be more accountable.
The classes are fantastic and although I have never been one for exercising, being part of the SGPT classes with other members is amazing everyone really helps you to push yourself when you need and the PT’s are fantastic in helping you perfecting all movements.
Another benefit of scope is the community! No one is excluded and everyone is made to feel welcome, like most folk, when I first joined scope I had the fear that I wouldn’t fit in I would be judged on my weight, appearance or even the way I worked in the gym but this was all alleviated when I was there. The community supports each other and everyone becomes like family whether that’s taking part in the group chats or chatting with other in the classes.
Scope has helped me to reach my goal to receive surgery which has made a HUGE impact in benefitting my mental and physical health. I still have work to do and I’ll continue to do this with the help of the scope team.

I’ve just finished up my 28 day plan at Scope and I’ve got to say I’ve really had a great time! I was making minimal effort by way of fitness before joining and feeling bloated/lethargic most of the time, but the 28 day challenge has taught me lots about my own nutrition, endurance and strength and I’m so happy with the results! I have lost weight, feel so much stronger and have the confidence to tackle gym equipment that I wouldn’t have dreamed of before! The team (and other gym go-er’s) are also fantastic bunch of people and really make the environment fun and relaxed which helps a lot. Really great gym and PTs. Always welcoming and patient with newbies as are members in the gym all very friendly. Enjoyable but challenging sessions but coaches always on hand to support and pass on knowledge to help you improve your form

From when I first came to Scope everyone from all the coaches to the other people who attend the classes have been brilliant in motivating us and creating a very good atmosphere in the gym. I’ve been coming to Scope for about 7 months now. I cannot praise this place enough. From the coaches to the other clients the place is so friendly and there is a great sense of community.
No work out is ever the same, so you never get bored. The coaches get to know you well enough that they can also tailor individual exercises to your abilities, so there is always progress made.

I'd seen the Scope 28 day challenge adverts pop up on social media for a while. I didn't realise it was a Bathgate based gym and I didn't realise the challenge would be applicable to me. I joined after being diagnosed with thyroid issues and piling on weight which I was struggling to lose. My weight was at an all time high and my confidence at an all time low. The challenge was fantastic. I quickly lost my excess thyroid weight, 5% body fat, lost 16cm across my body but more importantly, it gave me back my confidence and my love for the gym back. I have more energy, more focus and direction in my workouts. The SGPT sessions and classes, support from PT's and the community within Scope is amazing. It truly is one of the best things I have done for myself. It has allowed me to be me again and I cannot recommend Scope or the programme enough.
If you've seen the adverts pop up and wonder if it's for you - it most definitely is!

28 day challenge was a game changer for me, I tried several other methods of gyms, classes, walking etc. Nothing seemed to give me the motivation to change my ways until I tried Scopes 28 day challenge. Amazing results in a short time, l could not have lost the weight and toned up myself as much without the support from the fantastic Scope team, they are all very encouraging and helpful, well worth the 28 day commitment.

I have been a member of Scope health and fitness for around 3 years and when I first started I had very little to no knowledge of the gym. My inital goal was to loose some body fat and tone up a bit.
However, fast forward 3 years and my goal now is to become super strong and fit which I can safely say i'm achieving.
I was asked by the coaches last year if I fancied competeing at the National Fitness Games in Loughborugh - I couldn't say no to the challenge. This gave going to the gym and my training more of a purpose and focus. Training for the National fitness games was the BIGGEST challenge I’ve ever faced but if it wasn’t for the coaches giving me the push that I needed to do it, I know myself I 100% wouldn’t have done it. I’m now so much fitter, stronger and so much more confident being in the gym than I have ever been.
I've now found a real passion for being in the gym and training for even more crossfit competitions. Thanks again to the guys at Scope for constantly pushing me to go above and beyond my goals and acheive things I never thought I could possibly do! 💪

How positive friendly encouraging all staff are.
Everyone is really friendly and there's a good mix in ages. The Body Scanner is definitely a plus as had to previous do measurements myself in other similar gyms or my PT would use a measuring tape. Times of classes are good and varied and can do most things when kids are at school. Price is all very reasonable.

I joined Scope in September determined to shift some weight and worried how I would be having not trained properly for a couple of years. The guys all made me feel really comfortable, making sure I understand what I’m doing, why I’m doing it and that I’m completing the exercises properly. I’ve lost the weight (still have a bit to go) I’m fitter, have more energy and feeling confident about my body again. Motivation is sometimes hard to find and these guys do everything in their power to inspire us and keep us going. I can’t even say I have a favourite trainer because they’re all amazing!

I was very nervous at the thought of walking into a gym on my own, But I did it and I have never looked back. I could not have joined a better gym. I started off 12 weeks ago on the 28 day challenge and I’m proud to say I went onto become a full member of Scope Health and Fitness. The PT’s and the members all made me feel very welcome, everyone is so friendly and very supportive. Started training with scope a few years ago as I was overweight and didn’t know what to do to loose the weight healthily. I was assigned one of the excellent trainers and in a matter of weeks with the aid of a good training and eating plan I started to feel a lot better both mentally and physically. I didn’t feel restricted to what I could eat in anyway and was still able to have my “treats” at the weekend (mainly wine) and was able to achieve excellent results through my application to the process and with the support of an amazing team of people which included the trainers and the other clients. They really mean it when they say we are all one big happy scope family.

The 28 day challenge is an excellent experience. At 47 I had never set foot in a gym nor took part in PT classes, my history with fitness has always been through sport, golf, curling and yoga but my fitness took a big slump during Covid. The classes have been a good blend of using different muscle groups allowing me to think about strengths and weaknesses and then challenge myself to improve.
I am aware I haven't used the challenge to its full potential, not used the body scanner nor online classes, however, the questions I had about my fitness and mental health are being answered which goes to show how thorough the challenge is.
The whole experience has been an eye opener, yes at first its hard and there is muscle fatigue but this improves quickly, for me the results have been, better focus, better mood, less fatigue and old aches and pains felt with being 47 are easing.
Most of all the level of support from the Instructors is excellent, I hadn’t heard of most of the exercises however the instructors take the time to demonstrate how to exercise safely and help to hone your technique, as for the camaraderie between the other attendees, you will need to take up the challenge to see.

Joined Scope Health and Fitness about 4 months ago along with my wife Paula. Well, what can I say, these guys are absolutely amazing. The small group PT sessions started outdoors during lock down and once we were able to get back inside, continued in the Gym. The guys don't just do PT with you, they provide the whole package, everything from nutrition, healthy eating, recipes (James Wilson, your Saturday videos are great) and personal well-being. The PT sessions are fun, invigorating and professional and the trainers push you to continually achieve your progression goals. This is not just a gym, this a fitness family, where everyone helps each other. As one of the older members of this "family" the guys are great and provide encouragement continually. They keep having to remind me not to try and compete with those 40 years younger than me and take things at my own pace and build up. I am now healthier, fitter and more active. Would I recommend these guys, of course I would. The only downside is the choice of music from Reiss Dunn, Callan Stone or Brad Dunn.

I've been training at scope for 2 years which for me is unusual as I used to hate exercise!
I started off with the bootcamps and then rejoined after lockdown - again with no regrets.
The guys at Scope are amazing at what they do. They put 110% effort into everything. Every session is different and can suit any ability! They always make sure you are heading towards your goals and on hand for a chat if you need help with nutrition or motivation

I have been training with reiss after I had a spinal op outcome was severe nerve damage. I have been training for couple if years & seen so much improvement. So guys dont hesitate to contact these guys as they treat you like family. The best team who give advise on technique, nutrition, mindset & you get a weekly call to discuss any concerns or nutrition advice. Every trainer is top notch & i would say to anyone, don't say I will start Monday, don't say I would love to loose weight but don't have time. If you have time to watch TV you have time to train. We all have myzone belts which track your training efforts, heart rate etc & if you attend a small PT training or a class, everyone encourages each other. During covid reiss is very strict & I feel safe going to the gym. Please, give these guys a call or message, you won't regret it, even hate going to a gym!!! I have grown in confidence & fitness all down to these guys #scopefamily xxx

I've been with Scope for a year now and I'm loving it. I originally started on the 6 week course where I learned loads about nutrition, goal setting and mobility. Once this course had finished I was so happy with the result, not just physically but with the improvement in my technique and strength that I signed up for the membership and I haven't looked back.
I feel James and the team have created a safe and comfortable gym with solid training plan and coaching techniques. All the coaches have great relationships with the clients and each bring their own skills and strengths to the session. They are knowledgeable and are happy to answer all my questions and help me understand how to make moves work for my body.
The social aspect of the gym is a really amazing part at Scope. There are regular events where we can all get together and compete, become ninja warriors or dance all night. The clients at the gym are so supportive, encouraging and and there to celebrate each others successes. I've made some great friends and really look forward to what the next year brings.
