Reviews of Oasis Beach Pool
J. S.
Great fun for a reasonable price, was around £37 for 2 adults and 3 children. Kids and adults had a great time. It could do with a little TLC but at the same time not the worst. The outside pool was closed but a life guard said they are looking to open it again soon after a very long closure. All in all a great time. (We didn't use the cafe so can't comment on that) 👍🏻
R. B.
The counter staff are nice and polite, very helpful. Bit pricey for what it is, could do with a refurb if being honest. You get a 90 minute time slot, which is a lot quieter compared to pre-pandemic which is a plus as you can now actually find a changing room. The river rapids were on cost saving mode and worked once for a couple of minutes when we were there and the wave machine went off twice. The queuing system for the flumes was a pain, and the kids took quite a while to get through.
The main entrance outside could do with a refurb as well doesn't look very good when you are walking up.
Very costly refurbs required to make it look nice.
Pool was quite chilly and the area in general was cold after our time in the pool the hot shower was definitely needed.
High chlorine content, eyes were stinging after.
The outdoor area used to be open has not been open for quite some time, it used to be connected to the main pool, I hope for the love of God it's no longer connected.

Great wave pool to take the kids, not too busy the 5 times we’ve been there
There are plenty of changing rooms, including family changing rooms, shower area and lots of lockers (don’t forget to take a £1 coin). There are some mirrors are the front with 3 hair dryers that can be used.
There is also a cafe and seating area that overlooks the pool, so if you’re not swimming and want to be able to watch the rest of your family it’s great. However, I’ve been there at all sorts of times throughout the week and not seen the cafe open.
I. S.
Best ‘fun pool’ in 30mile radius of Cambridge which is where we came from. Worth the 50 min drive. Warm water, slides and waves were on and it’s a huge pool with loads of sections, rapids were great fun. Me and daughter had great time on a holiday Wednesday (so was pretty busy but fine, although quite a queue for showers but we left pool at end of session). Had no issue with cleanliness of changing rooms they were great (other reviews are quite off putting aren’t they!). Toilets need cleaning. Abbey on the desk was super nice and showed us around for our first time there! Inside the pool area is tidy clean colourful and well kept - not in need of a refurb at all. Outside yes looks run down, but huge pyramid is exciting for daughter to see.
A. G.
The photos look nicer than it actually was. It could have been cleaner - we saw what looked like mud in the pool. The changing rooms were crowded. There were two slides, one of them was nice and fast but the other one was, personally, quite slow. We were looking forward to going on the lazy river however it was shut when we got there. The cafe was also shut. The pool water was quite cold but it was nice as it was as the place was very hot. We enjoyed the waves and it was quite a nice swim.
P. B.
By modern standards it’s not huge, but it’s still fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The two fumes available were both good and for me seemed quite fast. The toilets weren’t as clean as would be ideal, and perhaps need to be more regular checked. It seemed a bit odd that at the end of our swimming session the cafe was closed - I would have thought that’s when people might go looking for refreshments. All round, a good experience.
G. S.
To be fair, when I 1st pulled up u thought I might being the wrong place. There was tiles missing off the walls outside and there was also 2 empty decorative pools. Once inside I was shocked at how nice it was. There was a big pool. 2 slides red (faster) and yellow. There was waves and a short lazy river as the outside part was not open when we went but I would definitely take the kids there again or simply go by myself
A. P.
Ignore the bad comments! Yes, it looks a bit run down when you get there, but the changing rooms are what you would expect from any family pool and the pool, rides, waves and rapids are great! Had a fantastic time and will definitely be revisiting. 👍🏼
S. S.
Great fun but should be maintained better. Broken traffic lights on both pipe slides slow main attraction down significantly and queue is huge. Also when outside facility is out of order with same amount of people in it feels crowded a bit too much. Other than that it’s really good.
J. H.
Looks tired and dated. Had to try several lockers before we found one that worked. Toilets and changing rooms dirty. Tiles on the floor and in the pool dirty and very slippery for a pool side. Showers definitely need modernising.
On the upside the pool was lovely and warm and we had a nice swim.
G. H.
Great actual pool, changing rooms are not cleaned regularly I'm guessing, some guests just leave rubbish and nappies in the cubicles. Tried to attend a couple of weeks ago and was closed due to managers calling in sick, both of them after a Saturday night out probably, and i say that because we we're told they would both DEFINITELY be in the next day (monday).
S. J. C.
It must b 25 yrs plus since I've been so fort take the kids I loved it they should price not 2bad 4 this day n age but everything goes up down side the wave machine wasn't much cop it used 2 have water current that pushed u round the pool may not of been working tho water wasn't very warm didn't bother me but me daughter felt cold even tho heard alot of people saying wasn't very warm in there water shoots were still good 2 go always made big splash when hit the bottom could always get good speed up on them didn't go 2 the cafe so can't say bout that so bit of TLC plus fix the bit we're used 2 go outside in the pool but yes will go bk the kids have asked already so will return
J. L.
The pool itself is fine and my children had a great time on the slides etc. There is plenty of seating if you're just watching but the cafe wasn't open and looked like it had been mothballed years ago....
L. R.
+ Kids enjoyed it and staff friendly
+ free parking
+ range of pools for different aged kids
+ kiss loved the wave machine
+ online booking easy
- Changing room set up not ideal for 90 min timeslots, very cramped & have to 'hang around' to get a changing room.
-Queue system for slides slow, roughly 15mins or so, so don't expect to get too many go's in the 90 mins.
- No toilet roll in the loos, wasn't a particular issue for us, but could have been!
- Cafe closed
Overall, not sure i'd rush back.
S. P.
Need to manage the time slot situation better: Having a set time slot for everyone with a whistle, and then not being able to get in a changing room is not the best way to do it!
The outside area, Current area, jacuzzi and cafe all need to opened again to be worth the money, at least in the holidays and weekends.
S. T.
Photographer is the best thing going for Oasis. Such a nice professional man. Makes the whole experience great with a photo to take home
For your memories. Thank you!!
S. B.
Not much has changed over 20 years but it's still a good place to take your kids swimming. Kids loved the waves and the slides
K. B.
We really loved our swim here. The pool was warm which was especially great for my toddler. All the children had lots of fun with the rings, toys, flumes and waves. The only down side was it was a little dirty, and they have no cash on site to give you change for the lockers apart from that we had a great time.
The photographer took some beautiful family photos too. Definitely will be returning on our next holiday
M. C.
Great fun and very nice staff. A pool photographer is a brilliant addition. However, I would have preferred everywhere to be a bit cleaner and for both cubicle showers to be in working order. All in all though, we had a lovely time.
A. O.
There is a lot to do such as flumes and a lazy river. However, there was dirt all over the pool floor and walls and there was even some grit at one point. The staff were all polite and helpful and there is a friendly photographer who will take a photo of your family if you choose. The changing rooms were also disgraceful, half of the doors were hanging off of their hinges and, of the 2 shower cubicles, only one was working. Overall, very fun but quite unhygenic. If it was cleaner I would give it 5 stars.
a.
This review would have been five stars if not for the poor handling during a fire alarm evacuation procedure. Not only was there a delay in moving everybody out of the water, we were all ushered out into the Storm Eunice outside (thankfully with foil blankets). The fact that we were not given a chance to change out of wet clothing before evacuating made it an unpleasant end to my visit. But aside from this, it’s a good place to go if you’re looking for a family swim, minus the unfortunate circumstances.
S. M.
The pool is great and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately the building has not been maintained and is very run down. The pool also lacks the outdoor section. It's a real shame and I can only hope they invest for the future.
S. B. (.
A couple of decades late of getting a refurb, and looks very abandoned from the outside, like an old soviet monument. Went for the family swim with our 8 month old. Not many other customers, cafe and shop appeared to be shut. Felt like we were just let in during closed hours. Wasn't anything we couldn't have done at our local pool rather than making the trip.
E. B.
This place is good, swimming pool clean, nice but changing area is horrible. Anyway is not expensive and kids have fun.
F. S.
I used the Fusion app to book and got the last place for the 1530 session. Lovely pool with the water feeling cool and despite being busy it didn't feel crowded.
J. P.
Absolutely love this pool. It's great for everyone in the family. The older kids get the benefit of the big slides, the lazy river and the wave machine and the little kids have a big shower, a separate pool and a shallow end in the main pool. Will definitely take my little girl again.
L. H.
It’s a great pool but they really do need to do a deep clean (make sure you bring your flip flops) and renovate. . but regardless we always have a good time!
S. M.
Lovely staff and great time killer... but could do with more pools, lights and more space.
L. H.
Not bad considering theres nothing else like it close by. Reasonably priced but really overcrowded, the wave machine was a little disappointing as it seemed to last less than a few minutes and didn't change the current too much. The water was pretty cold and others also felt the same. The toilets and changing facilities were not too clean.
t. c.
It was lovely tots family session today prices brilliant. £14 for 3 adults under 2 is free. Some kids float rings and a kids slide in the pool was fab.
Only negative comment is Lockers and spectators area could do with some cleaning.
L. R.
My experience at oasis was good, however it is extremely dirty and needs renovating. The thing I loved was that I had photos taken by the PHOTOgrapher in the pool on Saturday and he was absolutely lovely - he was so kind and attentive and made sure I was happy with my photo before buying. For the families, prices were £7.50 for 1 or buy 2 and get 1 free. It is a bargain! Reception was helpful too. Dirty place and run down but photographer and staff save that place.
K. “. L. K. Y.
Kids absolutely loved it. Can get in the changing rooms 10mins before the time you have booked for.
Only thing I didn't like was a door was opened at one end and when we got out to get changed my kids got freezing. Not sure why it was open, apart from the lifeguards being hot but I've been a lifeguard before and it's not something we would have done where I worked. The cleanliness of the changing rooms wasn't great, big clumps of hair in places and I could only find one shower which was quite hot so my kids couldn't stand in it for long
Z. A.
Much improved from when we last went. Changing rooms have been sorted out (last time there were hardly any with doors on) and the kids loved the pool. Apparently the outdoor pool will be up and running again soon too which will be great
J. R.
Great time swimming with kids, pool can be a bit chilly but great in this hot weather
M. I. Y.
Photograph man was amazing, big group of us (15) and still managed to capture great photos. Thank you :)
C. W.
The online booking system is poor, had to down load the mobile app to get my booking's payment to go through. My first experience on a waterslide, there's 2 - they're good. Expect to queue for the slides, 5-10 mins. Best to leave the session a few minutes early otherwise you'll be also queuing for a changing room. Definitely too few family changing rooms considering the venue's main customers. will go again.
G. F.
Kids enjoyed our time there. Would have stayed longer. Beware the lockers take both 50p and £1 coins and they do not have change.
M. P.
Good pools, wave periods, fast flowing rivers including one that goes outside too. Reasonable price.
Changing cubicles too small, had to use family pod to get enough room to comfortably use our towels. Patchy non slip covering. Really needs a one piece mat everywhere.
Recently returned to find same size cubicals TOO small. Please make them larger and the floor non slip.
C. H.
The Photographer made our experience!!! Lovely lovely guy. He earned his money when my grandson lost his toy and came back in crying. The photographer went searching for it EVERYWHERE. Thank you for that kind man. The swimming pool itself, well I had to get changed almost in the car park as there are nowhere near enough showers and changing rooms. Spoilt it really. But the kids LOVED it.
R. C.
So we have been back to this place twice in the last 6 months, my 8, 10 and 13 year old love this place and so do I. Yes on the outside it is run down, but on the inside its clean and well managed. I think this place needs to be supported - its really good family fun and I bet its all done on a shoe string budget, and to the staff I just want to say your providing a good family fun and keep it up, and thanks. I paid £36 for the four of us today for 1.5 hours of great family fun. Forget what it looks like on the outside, this place is a little gem for young families.
M. M.
We had a up and down experience at oasis. We first got there and from the outside the building needs some work and inside too. It wasn’t as clean as we hoped for! We then got offered to have our photo done by the photographer in the pool which was a really nice gesture. My family and I had a photo done and was fair prices. The photographer was lovely, he was very patient and friendly, if it wasn’t for him offering the photo my review would be much less. superb quality too. Thank you
A.
good pool but they use fusion lifestyle to book sessions and theyre a total scam, wont answer any calls or emails they would be 5 stars if they got rid of fusion lifestyle
S. S. H.
My toddler and I loved the pool and slides, however I only had a £5 note and the reception staff wouldn’t give change to me, luckily enough I spoke to the onsite photographer and he had 50p’s he could give me for the lockers. I decided to get a photo of my daughter and I in the Pool and was the best decision I ever made. She was so happy to have her photo taken, she was laughing around with the photographer and he was very genuine and friendly. Will come again, but please oasis get some card machine facilities. Overall, a lovely day out xxx
M. W.
SAD,run down, tiles falling off, especially the non existent outdoor pool. Despite booking still overcrowded
l. m.
Jake on reception is a great lad.
Kids had fun and so did the adults.
E. K.
Kids absolutely loved swimming again. So much fun and things to do. Photographer was amazing, lovely man who clearly puts a great effort into getting the best photos. On the ball. Friendly, reasonable prices and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend him .
W. w. H. T. H. W. V.
Really fun for the kids, reasonable price, timed slots and still not that busy. Will come again!
P. B.
Good fun pool for the kids and adults. Slides are great fun. Never had a bad experience over the years but the only criticism is the changing room space. They need to make more family sized ones given its a predominantly family sort of pool. And the jacuzzis need to be reopened. But other than that it's worth a visit.
L. G.
Nice big pool but the rest of place is badly needing updated. Not enough showers, no restaurant opened, not enough family changing areas.
B. K.
Photographer at the pool was lovely! Took pride in his work and ensured he got more than just 1 shot so that there were a few to choose from, an asset⭐️
L. A.
I took my Granddaughter there yesterday it was her first time. Outside rapids close and no wave machine. Disappointed as no reason given. Still the summer holidays, should have been on. Had heard they had had a revamp, to be honest nothing look much different to when I used to take my son years ago, door not on cubicles, doors not closing, the outside of the building looks very tired and has broken glass and missing tiles. The water outside the pool is dirty and there was lost of rubbish floating around. Not very inviting.
S. T.
A bit old fashioned but still a very decent pool complex in Bedford
s. d.
This pool is great for all the family myself and my partner are members here and we get treated with high respect even on our free swim to start with all the staff have made it their place to remember us and have a chat the gym is not as busy at the moment as well so even more perfect for people who want to work on their body or weight without the normal crowd of people
M.
After reading some reviews was doubtful about taking the grandchildren to Oasis. However was very pleasantly surprised. Staff very helpful. Pool and surroundings the cleanest I've seen there in years.
No wave machine, mostly everything else working. Don't be put off by some very negative reviews, today it was good
Q. C.
OK if quite small compared to other water parks I have visited.
Facilities could do with updating as well.
K. K.
Wasn't thr best pool I have been too. But it kept the kids occupied
C. C.
Enjoyed our afternoon there. Needed a bit of a tidy up. People wearing outdoor shoes near to the pool area
B. W.
Fun place for kids, helpful and friendly staff. Clean but could do with some updating. Lots of parking available. Good Tickets prices. Would go again
M. H.
Kids love it here. Nice layout good size and enough in there to keep them happy. Wish the wave machine was more regular hence 4 stars. Changing rooms okay, probably need more family ones tbh and importantly showers are always hot and working.
Z.
Great fun with the kids has enough to keep them busy the 90min , plenty of lockers and changing rooms
É. Z.
There's a small pool, maybe good for little kids. They allowed to be inside
too much people. It wasn't comfortable.
The number is changing room is not enough and there is no proper showers, only some open showers.
C. f. a.
The place it self is very nice, you can relax there, have nice bubbles, similar to those in jacuzzi, lovely water slides, but be careful with the hair dryers in Oasis. The hair dryers pulls your hair in and it doesn't let go. My girlfriend's hair almost got burned and it was close for her to get electrocuted. She literally had to pull her hair out with a force. Can you imagine if this happen to a child? Be very careful! Most of the hair dryers there doesn't work anyway. So this is why I give three stars only, will be 5 if they change all the hairdryers and will make them safe for use.
L. W. (.
Good pool very family friendly was a bit upset that the wave machine was not on/working as had booked this for my son birthday and his favourite part is the wave machine
c.
a bit dirty time has stopped 20 years ago
J. E.
Recent reviews complained of long ques to get in. We arrived 10 mins before swim time and no que at all. Facilities are a bit dated, but £6 for a child for 1.5 hours seems great value.
L. N.
It's so sad and depressing looking, it really is. I never knew it in its heyday so I couldn't comment but what a state it is now. Broken windows, the 'nce' (entrance sign) out front. It's such a shame and looks so trashy.
The up to date system of 'online booking only' is as much as a shambles as the building. I spent about an hour on the phone to tom, (after spending some 7am at home trying to register to book for a slot that day) who was fantastically patient and tried to sort it. I was about to lose the will to live and it just started to work.
For my little tot though, the pool is ideal. A big beachy style area that slopes very gently, so there's lots of space for her to walk about in the water, there was a slide and bubblers and a baby pool too. (This is during covid restrictions so I'm not sure what it's like usually).
She loves it and that's all that matters so I look past the dated and tired look.
The staff are all wonderful too.
We went again this week and it wasn't the first slot of the day And I must say, the family changing room floor was a bit gross And I wanted to book 2 sessions this week but lost the will to live with the god awful booking system and gave up.
I'm not sure I'd go here when it is busy again and there are no restrictions on numbers but, during the week, with limited spaces per session, it's quite a nice atmosphere for my little one.
S. S.
Toilets were disgusting. No paper and dirty. Told reception girl after she put mobile down looked confused as to why I was telling her and never moved.
Kids had nice time, right amount of people allowed in.
N. W.
Children really enjoyed it. Hygiene needs to be improved changing room floor filthy wanted to give it
3.5 stars for that reason.
J. L.
Loads of people online was advising to avoid , but i still went with my kids.
The place was clean and tidy with only card payment entry and we never booked still got in the slides are open too
S. h.
Good fun daughter loved it, but could do with some work
M. C.
I do like this pool, especially waterslides are fun but they closed the waterslides without any notice on Sunday, also there was a very kind photographer, he literally jumped onto water and took our pictures, thanks to him we have a nice memory now. Thanks 👍 #connectimages
H. R.
Great swimming pool and super cheap. The only downside is the mid week swim doesn't include the waves or slides but really friendly team and would deffo go back
S. F.
the staff here are lovely especially those on front desk.
the gym desperately needs updating and a nicer gym changing area/private shower area needed to make membership worthwhile.
the slides and outdoor area are fab for kids in this weather.
the cafe has a great range and good value for money. the staff is what makes oasis do lively to visit.
D. K.
Great customer service and reasonable priced and great fun
V.
This pool is a place I reccommend to everyone who lives near this pool by about 30-60 minutes away, it's worth the time to spend around, have fun, have a massage in the water, great fun.
Every like 5-15 minutes a series of waves come in boosting happiness to people in the pool, an issue about the park is why is the swimming limit only 1.30 hours? Really not a good choice.
I love the slides, I managed to get fastest speed and time on both slides! I race other people and... win 80 percent of the time. Overall, great pool, loving those bubble massages, great waves, and that sick bubble fountain, think it's the name.
P.S Is the session thingy on just weekends or 24/7? Time says it's just weekend, true or not?
A. L.
Yes it is tired and needs some money spending, but all areas clean. Went on Friday after school, no queues for flumes. Nice cafe which is also a viewing area. Staff very helpful and polite. Our 9 year old Grandson loved it. Would certainly go again.
R. F. R.
Fantastic fun pool with great slides but the reason I only gave 4 out of 5 stars is the place looks terrible from outside with should of been sorted a long time ago but hey don't put it off ya the swimming /gun pool it's amazing
S. F. T. L. H.
Cant believe I've never been here before. Kids had an amazing time (7 and 8) have to say so did I. PooL was nice and clean. They have two decent slides in there. Both quicker than you'll think. The red one is great fun. A decent cafe in there supplying various meals and drinks. Def going back again very soon.
S. S.
Firstly let me start by saying we had great fun. It is a good place to go.
From the outside it does look a bit rundown, the reception area gets very crowded as you have to wait to be let into the changing rooms due to the sessions being timed.
Once we were let into change it does feel like a black Friday sale as everyone rushes in to get a changing cubicle. Myself and my kids had our swimming clothes on under our clothes so need for us to rush in to find a cubicle. Once changed again you have to wait by the pool before they release the barrier to allow you in, again this is because of the times sessions. Our session started at 12, we were let I to the changing rooms before 12, and the barrier to the pool was removed at 12. So no time lost.
The floors are a bit grubby, however this is to be expected, they cannot possibly be cleaning the floors when people are leaving or arriving. Overall it was reasonably clean. The air temperature is lovely, I absolutely hate the cold, however I never cold due to the air temperature. The pool was advertised as being 30 degrees, I very much doubt it was, but the water temp was fine.
The water slides are great, the wave machine is superb, as is the rapid water part. I didnt think an hour and half would be long enough, however it was. This is a great facility, yea the building is old, but everything was working.
When it was time to leave the pool the crowding starts again, there are not enough showers, and some people took a longtime in the showers showing no consideration for others with small children waiting. Again you have to wait for a cubicle to get changed, unless you are rude and push past people. We did give up waiting for the showers and decided to shower when we got home. However I would not let the waiting parts deter me from going again. It was great fun and the kids really enjoyed and have already asked when we are going back again. Also there were plenty of lifeguards and staff around.
L. C.
The facilities are all there it could be a great place. Unfortunately and not staff's fault( I think) it is always dirty, they can never staff all the areas to be open in the pool and for a least a year they have been struggling with getting the temperature of the water up. My kids love it though it is a good pool staff are friendly just seems like they never have enough. It is a play pool not suitable for lane swimming.
D. C.
Good swimming pool for children and young families to go to. It is reasonably priced and a nice selection of activities. The slides are a good touch although there can be a wait and the trek up the stairs can be a bit rough. I like the wave effect in the pool and the fact that you can swim outside. Good way to spend a few hours. Only downfall, I suppose with most pools is it could always do with a mop, lots of hairs on the floor.
G. R.
My little one just turned 5 absolutely loved loved loved it!! Waves river rapid and 2 slides.... what more could a small person want. Jacuzzi was a little cold. Decent changing rooms and lots of life guards moving about. Would recommend and win be going back here again for sure, probably next weekend even! Less than £15 for adult and child to enter. We were there for 3 hours!!
Z. F.
Always loved taking my older children here a few years back so was really looking forward to taking my 3 year old.
They have now started sessions for swimming so definitely check before you go so you don’t end up sitting in the cafe with small children desperate to get in!
Otherwise we had loads of fun.
M. G.
Check times of sessions beforehand as you have to get out after 1.5 hours.Bit mad everyone squashed in the foyer waiting to be allowed in the changing rooms but we had a lovely time once we got in the pool. The outside area was open which was fab, the wave machine was great and we were ready to get out by the end of the session.
The changing rooms are very cramped it is a bit tired looking and a little expensive but is nice to go every now and then.
C. M.
Children love it here, the wave machine is great fun. However, everytime we have visited the slides have not been open, which is a great dissapointment, and this time the water course wasn't working either. Also, the outside area is always closed, the water is so strong with chlorine it stings your eye's without even getting them wet, and it doesn't feel very clean as you can see gritty dirt gathered at the edges under the water. Having said this, the children always have a good time regardless, don't want to leave, and always ask to go back!

Quite run down with travelers occupying areas of the carpark. Kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming round and the wave machine. Pool was nice and warm! Also reasonably priced. Had a cafe and gym but we didn't use these. Changing area was cold and could do with more showers but was clean. For the price I can't complain too much.
S. L.
Still a good pool but very run down now, smashed windows and tiles looking old. Could use a face-lift. Bring back the fountains and the outside pool as well.
N. F.
It is a more kid friendly water park and has lots of things like the waves, a water fountain and a tall water slide with two optional choices, a faster stream or a slower stream. It also has an out door pool area that has water that circulates around in anti clockwise motion which is only open when it is not raining.
Overall, I think the staff is an issue and the look of the place needs refurbishment, but I have known the place for a very long time, and still enjoy it.
I recommend it to anyone who has kids and want to take them somewhere new.
D. G.
Used to be great, last few times I've been, no wave machine, no jacuzzis, no rapids or outdoor rapids, still a lovely place for fun family time though
A. D.
The two slides and the wave machine are a lot of fun and the waves are frequent. My kids aged 10 and 11 loved it. I would give more stars for the swimming experience, but the whole place is very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. The changing cubicles are extremely cramped with a very narrow bench and many have broken locks, broken pegs and poor lighting. The worst changing rooms I've ever been in I'm afraid.
J. S.
The water was cold. Everything was dirty, stained, full of body hair. The so-called wave started in every half an hour and took for less than 1 minute. Such a disappointment.
L. R.
Took kids here in the summertime, it was very busy and you had a set time (1 1/2 hr). Kids really enjoyed it and like the outside area. It could do with a make over as it is quite tatty and old in places. Nice treat for the children.
S. N.
My daughter had fun, the only drawback was that a number of the changing rooms, didn't have doors on, which meant that fonding one to keep your privacy, took time. Not mich of an issue, but be mindful when taking little ones, as searching for a cubicle after you get out of the pool and they are shivering, isnt much fun.
J. B.
Kids had a great time and great fun
K. M.
Good pool a bit colder than desired but not the worst, slide are great fun. Cafe wasn’t great had to wait for someone to notice me then I got re-heated chips. But still a fun swim with the family!
T. w.
Amazing staff and great customer service! My kids loved the waves and slides, will definitely be back again.
k. y.
Great little pool with wave machine and two flumes. The outside lazy river is only open during summer holidays. Be prepared to book online or be turned away.
Changing rooms need refurbishing.
Can be a mad rush as session times are fixed so everyone is changing at the same time.
If you want to swim, go somewhere else.
J. B.
Bit dubious about going, after reading about price, dirt, and staff. But glad we did. It is expensive (£20 for 1 adult 2 children), but parking is free. No queue to get in (school hols!) and staff all smiley and helpful.
Pool crowded (school hols!) and water a bit cold. No good for swimming, but loads of fun for splashing, waves, flumes, lazy rivers, etc. Water was clean, changing area and cubicles spotless (two people with mops working all the time.) We had a fun couple of hours. 4 stars rather than 5 because it is rather small, shower area tiny and only 3 showers working, only 3 hairdryers. But, 10,000 times better than a similar pool in Aylesbury, which is filthy.
R. H.
Although it is starting to look and feel a little tired, it's still a great pool and a firm family favourite.
In the recent hot weather there are 1.5hr sessions that keep it accessible to more people, but waiting for your session to start can be a rather uncomfortable experience in the heat
B. S.
It was great the photographer was very kind and the the pictures were of the highest standards. The swimming facilities were also brilliant I recommend that you go to this incredible swimming facility
S. K.
Great swimming pool, wave machine, rapids and in the school holidays the outdoor rapids are open. Clean changing facilities, worth booking as it gets busy in the school holidays. Parking is good, although Apple Maps will take you to the back of the building which you can’t get access from so get directions to the Tesco which is next door. The cafe is clean and well stocked.
A. M.
Ok this place IS a bit dated and in need of some TLC around the pool and outside of the building BUT...
The water features are good; there are two slides (the fast one was so fast I bashed my head and have a big lump on it but I don't mind!), pretty big, choppy waves every few minutes, Jacuzzis, a current river (the best bit) which pushes you really fast, plus other stuff.
If you're not too bothered about tiny changing rooms, a bit of rust on some of the slides etc (not on the bits you are in contact with) and you just want some fun water features then it's worth a visit.
NB. There is no area for normal swimming in the whole of the indoor bit.
Cafe was decent too - good range of food and reasonably priced.
Tip: come early (or much later, near closing) when it's not a busy.
C. P.
This is a great pool to go to. Me and my family always go to this one when we can over other ones in our area because of all its features. It has a small outdoor 'lazy river' type feature which isn't always open but is awesome in summer. Also has a small 'rapids lazy river' inside too which is equally as fun especially when your on one of the floating rings provided. The hot tub is also nice to go into when your not doing anything else but there is so much else you may be swimming round you may not get there! The slides are fun for those who like them and they are somewhat suitable for adults and children alike. The beach layout of the pool makes it a more pleasurable experience and easier to test the comfort of those who aren't yet confident swimmers as it is a gradual deepness where they can explore at their own pace and ability and in addition for those with really young children there is a separate pool which is great for if your little one is a first time swimmer! Last but not least is the fantastic wave machine that is in the main pool, it's great and goes off so frequently, it's fun for everyone! I'd recommend checking out this pool for anyone who gets a chance for fun times to be had.
M. K.
We visited the pool today, sadly it seems to have gone downhill somewhat. Water was supposed to be 28 but it was very cold, so couldn't enjoy it so much. The spa tubs were closed & the scum all around the edges of the pool make me think the pool has not been cleaned properly in a long time, so hygeine standards? Cafe food was excellent & quick service too.
A. C.
Fun swimming pool. Has slides, wave machine, and rapids. However slides and rapids are not open during the day Mon - Fri (Bedfordshire county term time), so if your hoping for kid free water slide action during this time - think again... facilities are good, clean changing rooms, and decent public areas including a cafe.
N. L.
Still lots of fun with little ones. Although it seems to have seen better days and seemed alot better when i was younger. Big shame the outside pool has been shut and left to waste
M. W.
Enjoyable water facility for families with young to pre-teen kids.
t. p.
Pool has been refurbished but not everything works nice place but often short of staff
Changing rooms need cleaning on a more regular basis like they are at Robinson pool as they are often very unclean
M. F.
The staff are great. Waves typically go every 30 mins. Loved the flumes yellow screamer is the slowest and red thunder the fastest. In our group we managed speeds between 10 mph and 16 mph according to the clocks at the end of the flumes. The exteriors of the building needs some TLC. A really good afternoon out with the kids will visit again
T. D.
Fun afternoon spent here. Not overly expensive. Cafe wasn't open which was a shame. Waves and outside swimming area also closed.
E. S.
Good place to go for some great fun. Kids absolutely love it there as it is so much fun. Very spacious pools as well. Great fun for the whole family. Thanks to all the staff there for making us have such a great experience every time!
V. L.
The pool itself is lovely, but when it's busy it's ridiculous. Your made to queue amongst everyone else to get into the pool until it's the exact time of the session. Also because it's in sessions everyone leaves the pool at the same time and there is only a small shower, and no changing cubicles.
D. R.
this pool is fantastic. best ever for kids and big kids. the wave machine rules and the slides are great with a time and mph read out when you reach the bottom. didn't beat the fastest time but I was close. next time maybe. at 41 you would think i would have grown out of it. no chance.
A.
I know some people moan about some things like 50p lockers, changing rooms, open door etc. But put it this way, I asked both kids who went there with me and both gave 5 stars 🌟 both excited, We will come back )
T. M.
We liked it just fine. I wish there was longer open slots. And wasnt an big gap from one slot to the next. Also have times on your web sites. Or answer your phones. We travelled an hour 20 mins to get there. We could go in for 55mins or wait another hour and go in for an hour and a half. But over it was ok. There was a bit of a wait for changing room if you need baby changing. But fun still :)
L. W.
I am 13 years old and have a brother (of 11 years) in my opinion this pool is AMAZING! I go there often with my friends and it never fails to make us happy and exited...it is a little pricey but you get waves every 30 mins, flumes, a pool with a fountain, Rapids and a kids pool. There is also a cafe which serves good food. It may not be the cleanest pool ever but considering the amount of people that go there it is ok. In my experience there is always loads of people there and granted they are dirty but the staff are happy to clean any mess off the floor if there is any...not every changing room is dirty it is mostly the family ones (which there are lots of) and there are nappy bins in the changing rooms with baby changing areas inside the changing room. There is also an outside pool which is open in summer and is very fun to go round. Also I have been reading the comments and people have been complaining about how the flumes aren't always open...if there aren't any staff because they are all ill..HOW ARE THEY SUPPOST TO OPEN THE FLUMES? it is a silly reason to give this pool less stars. Also people are complaining about the chlorine smell. This is a swimming pool we are talking about...chlorine keeps the pool clean so if they didn't have the amount of chlorine they did people would moan about poor hygiene. They can't win. In my opinion it's is an amazing pool but don't go if you want to do serious swimming (there are also hot tubs which are on all the time!) ☺️☺️☺️
k. c.
Great pool with lots to do, my son loves the small slide and the lazy river, definitely great value for what is there also.
P. K.
My 11 yr old granddaughter enjoys it but even she said it's a bit run down and needs an uplift.
Cafe bit dirty and didn't look inviting with smell of old chip fat frying.
Definitely needs renovating.
C. C.
Grate please for a family pool day out and the photographer captured the best memories.
S. H.
I had a great time here with my friend, it was so fun and will definitely be coming back regularly :)
B. Y.
Good place for kids. For unexplained reasons they close the pool for 30 mins every 1.5 hours. The lazy river wasn't working and the flumes timing and safety systems were broken.
K. B.
Ok but it's a lot of money pretty ordinary stuff, if your kids don't use the sides there's not a point in going. be aware there are timed sessions and if you go in after a session has started like we did, there might only be half an hour three quarters an hour left before your turned out.... they do explain this but kids don't want to hang around so you just say ok and go in for whatever time is left. Not for us would not use again
M. X.
Absolutely disgusted with the online booking system it's been almost 3 weeks and we've been trying to get a slot booked in the system is so technically hard to understand and to book I've even joined the fusion app and registered my details and still cannot get a booking day it is so complicated how the people even get to go swimming hear what a joke why can you not sort this out so many people with their reviewers have said the same thing even when you try ringing the company it just rings and rings and rings what a joke why can't you sort this has got a stop people from coming I'm going elsewhere it is a good pool with flumes and slides and a wave machine what's going on ridiculous
D. T.
The place is quite good fun. It is in desperate need of updating and is very tired. I've been going since I was a child and it hasn't really changed. The outside rapids seem to always be closed. The outside when you approach the entrance is awful and is in disrepair. Quite expensive but always seems to get a lot of visitors
M. C.
Great place but check times carefully. We thought it was open all day but got there and was told we only had 60 minutes b4 they kicked everyone out for some sort of party or function. Should be good when they open the bit outdoors in the summer as well.
P. M.
The outside of the building is a bit grim, it's being shamefully neglected. The inside is ok, but still needs some urgent maintenance.
It's a fun place to visit with children of all ages, but do take flotation aids for non swimmers to be able to enjoy the waves.
The cafe is ok, but avoid the fake cappucino!
J. H.
What is that annoying alarm for? It keeps going off and is very loud if you're sitting in the café. I didn't see any sign saying what it's for. The building is really showing its age with broken panes, cracked and missing tiles etc. It's a shame. It could look great if they put a little TLC into it.
R. H.
Good place to play with the kids. Can get crowded at busy times - weekend afternoons! Changing rooms are very cramped and a little tired. Very few showers available as the main one is a group open shoer at the edge of the pool.
L. R.
I am 10 years old and have 2 sisters Frankie,5 and gasmine,2 I also have a brother 10 months we all in joyed this pool it was so fun and it was only 15 pounds when we got there you. Need to be 5 to go on the slides so my little sister gasmine couldn't and the Walter was really hot the only problem was that it was a 40 minute drive their and back but it was wretch it I'm going their again today
D. K.
Pool lovely. Needs to renovate the room shower and changing rooms to bigger ones.
Fun for all family
M. K. T. H. T.
Leisure Centre needs updates this time is lucky flumes and waves was working photographer in the pool made great memories for us
T. D.
Good facilities at a reasonable price
B. M.
Good fun for the kids. Very over crowded in the changing rooms and pool. No control over kids jumping the water slide queues. Good place to cook down on a hot day.
D. R.
I enjoyed it but it was very messy stinky and dirty in the toilets and changing room
H. S.
Great if you go on a weekend but in the week there aren't enough lifeguards to get the full experience. A lovely pool none the less and generally friendly staff
D. G.
You have to climb up to the top of the water slide to be told that your fife years old child have to go on her own even its her first time.
I've recall why I aviod this place. Due to sesion idea you have to be prepared for long ques to get to 5 showers and then get lucky to find and fit in to tiny changing facilites. Lots of hairs on the flor as always, as in 2009 and 2015. Its more cafeteria and gym than aquapark.Apart of this its ok.
S. S.
Enjoyed the pool as it has a wave machine and 'river' to float along. Good fun and value for money - changing rooms could be a bit cleaner but passable.
A. N.
One of the best pools locally. The food is good too. They cn get the changing area and the change over organised better with some barriers put it but other then that. Good for an afternoon out for kids
B. S.
I feel this is the best swimming pool in the distance I am willing to travel. The price like everything these days (OMG) is to be expected. We are a family of 5 ranging from toddler to early teen. So the facilities suit us. Can get a bit busy like most swimming pools (Real lack of facilities for anyone interested in swimming of even a day out with the family all around herts, beds and came). Staff are adequately helpful and mannered. 5 star as out of parkside and the Abby in Cambridge and the now closed slide park in hemel hempsted. My opinion is this is by far the best out of a poor pot. Please someone provide more and better facilities!
D. H.
Decent wave pool, good slides. Nice other features like kids pool with bubbles and rapids. Not quite enough family changing ever and sometimes air temp a little cold.
S. F.
Great fun for all the family
F. G.
Went in half term & it was packed! We stayed for 5 lots of waves & had a great time..only downside was no hot showers, hopefully they will be fixed for next time we visit.
T. S.
charging £6.50 for each child to swim for "A garunteed hour" is horrific. On top of that, the tannoy goes off every five minutes telling people to get out, I understand they need to keep the number of people in the pool to a certain level, but turfing paying customers out, to get more paying customers in, is tacky and an obvious sign of money grabbing. I also left with a ringing sensation, thanks to that damned tannoy.
M. S.
Pool is lovely and warm. Great family fun. Even got a fantastic photo of the kids while swimming - in house pool photography.
Another visit coming soon
L.
Good Family fun pool. My son always has a nice time here.
S. P.
I was slightly disappointed by this place. It's not as big as I expected however when I went everything was working. As pools go it wasn't the dirtiest, however there was an odd smell in the changing rooms. Saying that I have been a couple of times but I just avoid peek times. However I would probably rather just go somewhere local as it wasn't so amazing I have to make the extra trip there.
T. B.
I travel to this pool instead of using local ones. Great size, great slide, awesome wave machine and novel little cafe. The staff are also super helpful.
g.
Waited 35 mins outside last weekend only to be allowed to swim for 90 mins. I understand there were a lot of people wanting to use the facility. If the time is reduced then reduce the price accordingly and not make us pay FULL PRICE for LESS TIME!!
M. P.
This is definately the best swimming pool i have ever been to! it is awesome warm furn and good for value. The slides are awesome, and since i have recently overcome my fear of rollercoaster (YAY!) i will be going on them. family fun for everyone!
K. D.
Great day at Bedford Oasis. Wave machine and slides were brilliant. Only downside is that the sessions are timed and there aren't enough changing rooms.
K. H.
Getting tatty, could do with a refurb and some maintenance. Other than that its great fun with the kids and the staff are friendly. Price seems a little steep for up to 1 1/2 of swimming.
T. S.
Oasis is a lovely pool with flumes, wave machine and a lazy river ride that goes outside. The only downside is the changing rooms, there are not enough of them so the queues for them at the start and end of each session are manic.
T. B.
Life guards are on point, pool and activities are fab like waves, rides etc. But requires better cleaning in showers and changing rooms after each sessions.
K. L.
Not terrible, has family change and friendly staff, but water quite cold for babies and was very busy when we went. Generally feeling a bit tired now.
S. B.
It's great! One thing I would say is that there aren't many showers. So we had to leave early to get there first. Apart from that it was brilliant!
j. c.
Amazing pool, so many amenities there, my only problem it there is half an hour between pool sessions, so buying more than one session is time-comsuming. Otherwise, really good pool.
M. S.
Great fun for all but if you don't like ques get out 10 minutes before times up so you can have shower and find a cubicle the only problem really is the whole pool is emptied at the same time so can get congested
C. T.
Great fun for the kids. Lockers use a 50p coin not the usual £1. Change rooms are limited when the session ends.
S. W.
Had a great time, my kids enjoyed the slides and wave machine.
N. P.
Great fun. Very reasonably priced with easy going staff. As lovely as it was 25 years ago. I went 10.6mph down the flume of doom weeeeeeee
Thanks :)
S. O.
Great place to take the kids
K. C.
They have an incredible pool with fun items to do, including an outdoor mini lazy river, which is cool. The staff are helpful and kind and you can count on finding something nice to eat there.
G. F.
Cafe is shut. Unable to get change for lockers. And long queues for showers and changing rooms. Wave machine not on either
R. M.
Great swimming pool in a wonderful pyramid. The water is normally a bit cold, but you get used to it. The slides are good,as is the wave machine, and the rapids.
E. P.
Overall a great pool, lots of fun for the family food is well priced. Staff could do with a personality transplant but we will visit again.
K. S.
Amazing. Very reasonable priced. Areas for both my children. There was a photographer in pool who asked before taking picture which I was able to purchase after
A. S.
It was okay. Wave machine is good and the two slides, thought it was going to be bigger. Changing rooms were a bit dirty.
A. L.
Very disappointed as the drinks machines were not working. The resteurant opens at 12. To b told by staff to go Tescos it's appalling a big business like that but the swimming part of it was all good
O. A.
Good place for swimming. There's a stagnant dirty water surrounding the building. It doesn't make the surrounding attractive as it should be. The swimming fee lessons are pricey during the weekend.
M. G.
Very busy, water could be little warmer and they could supply some floats to help those who aren't strong swimmers. Overall good.
S. A.
This is amazing so much fun I'm 11 and I love the waves the pool massive and the deep end waves are the best and the water slides are awesome and the hot tub this is the best pool I have ever been and I been to 19 pools
R. w.
Good variety of pool options kids particularly liked the wave machine and wilde river - can get very busy and changing facilities were quite cramped and busy otherwise a 4* venue. ..
M. J.
Ok, a bit run down externally and internally but cheap and the kids enjoyed it!
G. D.
Had fun when went with the family but outside could use improved
I. L.
Staff has always nice.Cleaners are working non stop. They could do with some money for repairs. Please show good news on the front page.
K. B.
Changing rooms are very dirty nappies wipes ect .this let's it down Big time and there isn't enough family changing rooms defo needing some modernisation
r. m.
Pool could be warmer
Need more family changing rooms
Showers cold water only when we went but was told on entry
Nice cafe
Decent gym
Good parking
a. l.
A moment of relaxation well spent
M. C.
Not really great for just swimming but super fun for the kids with waves, fountains and two giant waterslides as well as a separate pool for toddlers which is lovely and warm.
m. A.
Amazing place to go with kids
J. B.
Lots of fun, more expensive than your average pool but for good reason. Only thing is i swear the waves were bigger.
L. N.
The pool itself is great however it could do with a big changing area with more cubicles and both the changing area and cafe could do with updating
M. S.
Had a great time pool was clean as were changing facilities big queue for showers as everyone leaves at same time.
R. R. L.
It's a good place to get little humans in 🤔😂 but water temperature could be a bit higher as it's too cold. Some renovation could be done around the place
P. F.
Nice pool for the family
G. (. k.
It was really fun. The slide are awesome , great atmos , you could also get swimming lessons here!
A. M.
Bit crowded, staff were quite unfriendly. Also it was my toddler nephew's first time swimming so quite annoyed that the staff wouldn't allow me to take a picture.
N. C.
Could do with a revamp but kids like it.. cafe was closed (it was a saturday) , staff not very friendly
a. h.
An exciting pool with waves and slides operating but the quality and cleanliness of the changing facilities can really vary depending on the day.
H.
Kids really enjoyed it, and the sessions are in 1 and a half hour time slots, so it doesn't get overly crowded.
A. B.
Waves, rapid, flumes - excellent. Just about the only thing you can't do here in the water is serious swimming but great for family. Decent cafe as well
D. M.
Great fun with the kids. Pool for all ages, but make sure you have your little ones near when the waves come!
J. C.
Very good day out with the children, we all had lots of fun. Decor and hygiene let this place down.
A. S.
Tiny changing cubicles and The place looks a little tired. it is run in time slots so not super convenient if you wanna just turn up so some planning is required
L. F.
Very nice pool fun to splash around and enjoy with friends
A. B.
For a nice weekend with children it's perfect. Water can be bit cold. Food is very basic and a little bit overpriced.
C. t.
Amazing pool the kids lived it!
k. s.
Bit tired but nice and warm for the baby
I. C.
The building drastically requires updating. We had lots of fun and the children enjoyed themselves.
D. G.
It's fun for the kids but dangerous near the sides of the pool when the waves come. Over all we loved it 😋
L.
Very nice place where you can enjoy also with your little baby. warm and pleasan water, i will go back soon also if is quiet far from my house!
I. K.
Good value for money
A. w.
It's quite a travel for me over 80 mile round trip but the children love it and worth it with the family discount 👌😊👍💯
a. g.
Kids loved it. A bit tired looking in places. Lazy river not working when we went.
S. B.
Pool and Staff are excellent. Cafe food isn't awful but could probably be better quality for the price :(
A. M.
Good fun, two big slides, wave machine, outside circuit. 50p or £1 coin for lockers
A. L.
Nice swimming pool suited to families & kids. Clean changing rooms, cafe excellent value, fitness suite aswell.
S. R.
Great place for the family, only 4 stars because it is really dated and in desperate need of a revamp.
T. 2.
It is good for kids could be better if the slides and out door was actually open more often
A. M.
It's dated and the changing rooms are very cramped. It's in need of updating but fine for a swim/splash.
P. G.
My 2 children absolutely love it!! Been a few times now. Won't go anywhere else x
T. Z.
Place to have excellent time with kids and family. Sauna, spas, gym and many more attractions. Free car park.
J. C.
Excellent facilities and really friendly staff . Plenty of parking . Just remember your 50p for the locker
S. P.
Great fun for kids with a wave machine and slides and rapids. Outside bit was closed and was really busy
H. B.
Fun pool for children, kept nice and clean, but let down by being a bit cold for little ones. Showing its age a bit too.
L. D.
Great place for water play. Changing rooms aren't brilliant but are acceptable.
J. H.
The place is rundown. Lockers badly need replacing. Outside of school holidays, parts of the pool are never open.
C. H.
Could do with a bit of a refurb to facilities and because of this it is overpriced but the slides are great and the kids love it
