Just a great place to come- work hard, train smart and most of all enjoy the sessions with a great group. I have been going to Team CC for just over 6 months now. Usually I can make 3-4 sessions per week which feels like plenty. Russ, Max, Dan and the team are great fun and keep me on point. I came with a plan for 3 months then review my progress but my weight has gone down, my strength has gone up and I no longer struggle to get up for the 6am sessions (most of the time 😀) so I’m staying.

Having been a member of the TeamCC gym myself for some time now, I recently enrolled my 10 year old son on the youth programme being offered. From my point of view, it is wonderful to see him burning off lots of energy, learning important fundamentals of how to lift weights, and receiving expert coaching that he can understand, relate to and actively grasp. Most importantly, he loves it. He enjoys it immensely and loves being in the gym. His other sporting activities are benefiting as a result, he is learning a great deal, and is benefiting from having some great role models to work with and alongside.

for the latter , we have found ‘The conditioning centre’ to be a perfect fit for all athletes from 8-60, the programs are perfectly tailored to enhance each categories athletic capabilities for both on the bike and but also all round life demands
A fun, friendly environment provides the back drop for training underpinned by a focus on technique & movement patterns .
For youngsters this can be an amazing fun exposure into the world of gyms , training and general healthy lifestyles, while improving sporting performance .

FEMALE, FORTY & FINALY FEELING FIT AGAIN!.....
I like to keep fit but had fallen into a rut with my training. Constant cardio sessions, achy joints, low energy and as a result poor food choices leading to weight gain. I took the plunge and joined Team CC a little over 12 weeks ago. It’s the best choice I’ve made in a long time and has reminded me how important strength training is.
The training has helped me improve physical strength, rebuild confidence, lose those extra kilo’s I had gained and encouraged me to get back to healthy eating. As a result I’m feeling better in everyday life...physically and mentally.
The instructors are attentive, patient and happy to help all abilities. The environment is friendly and no matter which session I attend I always have laughs with my team mates. I leave feeling positive with a sense of achievement.
So if you’re like me; a little lost and wondering how to get back on track, why not take that positive step and give it ago. It might just be that change you’ve needed.

I joined TeamCC in January 2020 and have not looked back since. I have been to a number of gyms over the years and wasted many memberships simply because I was left to my own devices and I was unsure what I was doing and this meant I spent more time on cardio equipment and not getting anywhere near what I wanted out of a gym.
I stumbled across a Facebook post from TeamCC which peaked my interest, looking over the website and Facebook pages it looked like what I had been looking for all along, I spoke to them on the phone talked about my goals and experiences so far and I decided to give these guys a go for a 28 day challenge/trial. The trial far exceeded my expectations, firstly you are made to feel welcome, you don’t feel stupid for not knowing what you are doing or for not having perfect form, the coaches watch you closely and give solid advice so you are not left to injure yourself and so that you get the most out of the sessions.
What makes this gym so much better than anywhere else I have been to over the year is the sense of community, the members are awesome, supportive, encouraging and full of banter. The coaches truly want to help you be a better version of yourself, if you are injured they work with you on alternatives so that you can continue to train, or ease back and work light and build it up again.
So in summary I would totally recommend TeamCC to anyone of any age or ability.

I’ve been a member of Team CC since January and they have been nothing but excellent. When the opportunity came up for my 11 year old son to join the youth program I jumped on It. My lad plays rugby so giving him the opportunity to learn weight lifting techniques from experts at a young age seemed like a no brainer. I’ve learnt a lot about technique for bench press, squats and deadlift and after a couple of months he’s already got a foundation that I wish I had had for my rugby playing days.
The work outs for adults are tough but they are scaled down for the kids. In addition to lifting technique there are stretching, mobility and core strengths exercises as well as a but of fun. Leo loves it and wishes he could go 5!days a week like I (try) to.

I can honestly say TeamCC is the best training environment I have ever used. What you get is atmosphere, extremely knowledgable coaches, constant scrutiny to ensure correct tekkers, tailored rehab to rebound from injury, well thought out and monitored progression, and comps to keep things interesting. Basically, almost one-to-one coaching in a fun environment with men and women of all ages and abilities. It's awesome! I challenge anyone to try it then say mainstream judgemental intimidating gyms are better. If I agreed with you we would both be wrong.

Entering the six week challenge, I was two months away from the big 4-0 and decided things needed to change. But I didn’t want to embark on a commitment to a gym where I felt wobbly, uncool and judged. Being a keen runnner, I also wanted to compliment and help achieve my running goals. All this was quite a tough ask and not conducive to a standard gym membership (I know as I’ve tried!)
Russel and the CC team we’re patient and understanding of my specific requirements. From the outset, they were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and listened - always making time to address concerns, questions and weaknesses. The other members are like minded, there to give it a real bash, non judgemental, encouraging and supportive. It’s a really pleasant and non-intimidating place to be which was a huge relief. Add all this to excellent programmes which are varied but focussed so you can see gradual improvements in form and performance, and ever evolving to maintain interest and enthusiasm, you have an excellent, winning combination. To see a stone loss in two months, plus immense strength and running gains is fantastic and shows that the effort put in is completely worth it. AND ITS FUN!! Who’d have thought?

I can’t recommend Team CC enough. From the first day I stepped in the gym I was well looked after by the coaches and welcomed by the other member. I was worried when I joined as I was overweight and not exercising for a couple of years. I joined the 12 weeks transformation program and it really worked. Every exercise and every lift was explained by the coaches and I felt supported all the way. The programs are designed to get the best out of you.
What I love the most is that you can arrive at the gym and have your own space to work. No messing around waiting for equipment. You have one hour slot where you work hard and leave the gym feeling great with a great sense of achievement. The equipment is very good and plentiful. During lockdown Team CC provided all equipment for me to set a mini gym at home. I was able to follow the online zoom classes daily and carried on training when the gym was close.
There is a very good sense of camaraderie in the gym and the group I train with support and push each other.
I have been a member for over a year now and I not only lost 20kg in body weight but at 44 I am in the best shape of my life, I feel strong and healthy.
If you are considering joining Team CC I can honestly say that you will be making a very good investment in your healthy and well-being.

Have been a member of the gym for 5 years. I was looking for a high quality gym when I moved into Poole and Team CC was recommended by a friend. Was nervous at 1st as had been out of the gym for a long time. The coaching team at CC were so helpful and friendly, they made me feel at ease getting back into training and I haven't looked back. Cant recommend Russ, Ian and the rest of the coaches enough. Whether you're just getting started or a seasoned competitor they have the skills and knowledge to help you on your way and achieve your goals.

Team CC is more than a gym. I've been a member for 3 years now and I would say it's more like a club. Russ and the team look after the members like no other gym I've ever been to, and the members are massively supportive of one another. Gym sessions are fun and if you're feeling a bit miserable (esp. in 2020), they give you a great lift. On top of that, you can achieve great results - in my first 8 weeks I lost 8kg, toned up and gained muscle, and I've pretty much maintained that form ever since. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Team CC just under 2 years (minus a few lockdowns) and honestly don’t think I could go to a conventional gym again.
For me, I love that every session is coached and I don’t need to think or plan the training as it’s all done for you. It’s perfect for people who have busy jobs/life’s. There is no waiting around for equipment or having to spend time thinking about what you’re training.
The app is great, it tracks your progress from your weights your lifting to also your body composition, sleep etc if you want to track all of that. It’s nice see the progression and it works out things for you like predicted 1RM,
I love that there is a competitive element to it, we do competitions within team CC called the league.
I’ve also attended an event against another gym in Portsmouth which was so much fun!
Finally, I have to mention the social side, I’ve met so many great people going here and it’s such a friendly atmosphere.

I started with the two-week taster in October 2019 and haven’t looked back! It’s such a welcoming gym with a fantastic culture and friendly, encouraging members - it really does feel like you’re joining a community. The coach-led sessions are part of a phased training plan, so it’s impossible to get bored and I always feel like I’m making progress. I love that I can just turn up and train as all of the planning has been done for me. The coaches, Mike and Todd, are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging, I’ve really appreciated their support over the past few years. The gym is well laid out and has all the equipment you could need – I could never go back to a gym where I have to queue to use a rack or have someone hovering while I finish my sets. In short, I can’t rate TeamCC highly enough! Thanks guys!

I've been a member for about 1 week and am really enjoying it. The team and members are all really friendly and helpful. It's not like any gym or class I've ever been to before, in a good way! 👍 I've been doing the nutrition plan too and have found it easy to follow and tasty.
I was nervous before hand as I'm not very fit at all but the first session put a stop to all my nerves 🙂
UPDATE FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF 6 WEEK CHALLENGE
I have just completed my 6 week challenge and couldn't be happier. In the 6 weeks, I have lost 4kg of weight and 7cm around my waist! This is more than my wildest hopes when I started and it is due to the excellent nutrition plan and the family and welcoming feel at the gym. I was really unfit (although I didn't realise just how unfit) when I joined but everyone was still really friendly, welcoming and encouraging (a shout out to Liam who I feel started me off with pushing myself during workouts, thanks mate, and to Russ and the instructors who ensure everyone is working at their own level). Even on my first day when I nearly threw up twice and ended up lying down in reception for 5 mins (haha) everyone helped me through it. I was also recovering from a frozen shoulder and am extremely happy how that has improved; I no longer get pain when I sleep and my motion is returning really quickly now!
All in all, I can't recommend Russ and TeamCC more highly. I will definitely be joining on the longer term membership soon!

This is so much more than a gym. It’s a support system to get to where you’d like to be. Training with Mike and the team has motivated me to change bad habits and has taught me how to develop my strength and fitness.
I am fitter, stronger and more confident than ever and this is all a credit to this excellent set up. Any experience level is welcomed and nurtured and you’ll end up making some great mates too.

The coaches are great; talk you through each exercise, have your workouts set up and ready to go, provide meal plans, accommodate all abilities and can have a laugh too. Friendly atmosphere in a gym that caters for all abilities. I’ve only been there around 2 months, but I feel very welcomed. Within the first week I was being greeted by my name as I entered the door and was having regular chats about my progress - a much more personal experience compared to other commercial gyms!
The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the work they do, which makes for a much more interesting trip to the gym! We also have challenges open to all gym members to add a competitive streak to it all!
I’m fitter, slimmer and lifting heavier and more technically correct than I ever have - and I thought I knew what I was doing in the gym before! Team CC have even helped me work on some year old injuries that I didn’t think were going away! So you could join any old gym and just get mediocre results or join Team CC and get exactly where you want to be!

I have been training at Team CC for around a year and a half now and the results I have seen have been amazing! My strength and aerobic capacity have greatly increased. You have your own station at the gym which has all the equipment you could possibly need, rack, barbell, weights, piece of CV kit etc. The support you receive is second to none, not only by the coaches, but also by the other members. A definite team spirit! Team CC have also been amazing in supporting their members during this Covid-19 pandemic, lending out kit during lockdown, making their premises Covid secure and offering 1-1 PT sessions when allowed. They have great programming, that is supported by a great app! I couldn't recommend more!

I’ve been at Team CC for about 18 months and in that time I have;
1) Lost over 12kg in weight
2) increased my 1RMs by an average 30kg
3) Competed in my first Full Power powerlifting comp (and placed third in My weight category!) with more booked for this year
4) Improved my fitness in general
I started from basically nothing - couldn’t complete one full push-up to now doing multiple sets of 12!
No other choice in my opinion. Come and join us and see what you are truly capable of!

This is not a group class, a boot camp, a crossfit box or a commercial gym. Far from it.
Think of it as being part of a professional sports team with your own coaches and a systematic approach to ensure you become the best you can be. It doesn't mater if you are 20 or 70. It doesn't matter if you haven't trained before or if you have been training for years. You will learn and you will progress. Safely.
Training sessions:
Every session is planned to perfection to fit in the overall programme. Nothing left to chance. No crazy WODs were you get injured. No showing off. Not taking your tshirt off either (thanks!). Just a solid training session executed as a team under careful supervision. If something doesn't work for you because you are recovering from an injury your coach will swap your exercises to ensure you progress safely.
Coaches
Not your typical personal trainers. Oh no... These guys are proper pros. University degrees and all. Years of experience. They know what they are doing and they will look after you. Truly. You are in safe hands.
Facilites
None of that fancy multieliptical-assymetrical-up-and-down machines... Nope. Just the best weight lifting and functional training equipment you can find anywhere. In a clean, modern, relaxed envirnoment. No mirrors either (thanks!). Top notch.
People
Normal people trying to improve. No big egos. No ridicuoulous competitive environment. No judging. We are here to help each other. A team.

I came to The Conditioning Centre 6 months ago, after training for a year in another strength and conditioning facility. My aim was to increase strength in my weaker areas which was inhibiting my ability to move forward with my lifting goals. Russell's knowledge in body mechanics as well as his broad range of experience has helped me tremendously in every aspect. Since joining The Conditioning Centre 9 months ago I have completely changed my body shape and the way I perform on the Football pitch and American Football field. If you want to be an athlete, or if you just want to feel better about yourself, get down to The Conditioning Centre, where you'll learn how to work out the right way.
Each session is great with Russ keeping an eye on how you're doing, getting the best out of you and ensuring you have great technique. I wasted many years at commercial gyms, putting in a lot of effort without much of an idea of what it took to make a difference. The CC is totally different to your standard gym, on ‘No Excuses’ I receive a new program each month with 4 different sessions to complete within a week. There is a great atmosphere and everyone gets along, because we are all like-minded people in the same boat trying to improve ourselves.
Within 3 months at the CC, I felt faster and stronger, 6 months on from there I am noticeably bigger, leaner, faster, and stronger and it feels great. This place does exactly what it says on the tin, it builds athletes.

I re-joined Team CC during lock-down and it was the best decision I could have made! Despite the social distancing restrictions, you still felt connected with all the coaches and members on zoom sessions and had the encouragement to continuously push yourself. I have only been a member of the conditioning centre a few months but am starting to see the benefits already. At first the equipment does seem daunting but that disappears as soon as you get going. Russ who owns the gym and the people who work there are great, they show you how to do all exercises correctly and encourage you to push yourself, most gyms don’t do this. The programmes for women is really good, it has different exercises which you work through and can track your progress. There are also circuit classes which are hard but fun and they change every month so there is no chance of getting bored.
Everyone who goes to the gym is really friendly and that does help to create a great atmosphere. The other members will help you if needed and also encourage you and are really friendly. When you are new really does make the difference, plus they have socials which is a nice social aspect to the gym. I really do recommend coming along.

I've been going to Conditioning centre for around a month now, and love everything about it. The atmosphere is great. The trainers are really knowledgable and supportive. Circuits are really challenging but always the option to progress if you can't start with the toughest exercise. I've been to other gyms around, just put my headphones in and do my own thing, gets pretty boring, I love that I can turn up and follow my programme that varies every month (and no injuries as there is always someone to make sure I am doing everything correctly!) I've never felt so comfortable in a gym. I'm looking forward to seeing the results as I'm getting stronger each time and here to stay! Highly recommend!

I started at the conditioning centre after a number of years of doing no fitness training at all. I had back and neck pain pretty much all of the time and regular headaches. I considered trying to get medical help, however I decided to try the conditioning centre first. After an initial assessment with Russell, he made me a personalised program which is frequently updated and progressed. My back and neck pain completely went after 2 weeks and I haven't had a headache since. Working to a program in the gym means I leave each session feeling that I have achieved something and that I am progressing, which is important to me as I don't have much spare time. As Russell is always there in the open gym sessions, he keeps an eye on what you are doing and helps you out (or just makes it harder!). It might take me some time to reach my goal of trying to get back into pre-pregnancy shape, but I know I'm going to the right place to help me achieve this.
