I have been training with Robyn for the past 3 months and it has been absolutely amazing!! She is a great motivator, really knowledgeable and in just 3 months she turned a complete couch potato with zero stamina into someone who enjoys weights and working out. Her sessions are always varied and tailored to my abilities and she makes sure to push me further all the while making sure that I am learning the right techniques and staying safe. Whatever you want to do, if its weight loss or just getting back into shape, she'll help you get there! :)

Not only is she built like a machine but she turns the impossible into me achieving my personal goals in every session ive had with her so far! Where do I begin with Robyn?… she is truly the greatest coach I have ever trained with! She is an incredibly passionate trainer, who has done all she can to help me reach my goals. Robyn will instantly empower you and give you all the strength & self belief even when you feel that you may not be capable of achieving something, she will not let you give up! … Even within the first week of training with Robyn she managed to reduce my 2K run & weighted carry run times by a total of 4 minutes for both tests!!! This is something I had been struggling to do myself for months but with Robyn’s guidance, she gave me the strength and knowledge to achieve my goals in such a short time frame. She is incredibly motivating and her passion of helping others really shines through her work! Furthermore, Robyns phenomenal career achievements will inspire you throughout your sessions! & as well as inspiring you, she is fantastic at tailor making specific plans for your goals, she also has lots of nutrition knowledge to assist you with any further support you may need. I had always been a bit nervous about working with a personal trainer. It seemed a bit intimidating and I was not very confident in my fitness. There's a bit of a fear of the unknown (what's the trainers approach going to be, will i get on with their methods etc) I can safely say working with Robyn has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I could not really ask for a better work out dynamic. She is patient, clear and supportive. In a couple of weeks I was comfortable with kettle bell movements that I literally could not do in the introductory session. Seeing progress is a real motivator and I can see a positive change in myself both physically and mentally. Cannot recommend Lumas fitness highly enough.

I happily found Robyn when the restrictions about exercising with one other person were lifted. We worked out my training goals and each session has been individually planned on improving my running goal. Robyn’s sessions are tough and she pushes when she needs to and her training background in the army shows she really knows what she’s talking about and how to get the best from each session. Robyn’s given loads of helpful advice about diet and other training tips so I definitely feel stronger than when we started and it’s been really nice working out with someone without the macho environment that can come with gyms. Definitely one of the better things that has come out of lockdown.

Robyn takes a lot of care to tailor the sessions specifically to you. This may sound obvious but I found Robyn to be stand out in this way. The fact that she enjoys her job and feels like she is lucky to do it really shows. I had lots to say and quite a few difficult and specific things I was working with and around. Robyn listened very carefully and with interest when she started working with me and has continued to listen attentively and with empathy and respect for what I want to focus on and achieve. Never judging, criticising or questioning unless she was offering an alternative which could be more benefitial to my goals based on her knowledge and experience and never making me feel she didn't care to listen to me. When doing the sessions, Robyn struck a good balance between working me intensely (which is what I wanted) and giving me sensible and constructive rest and recuperation. Robyn has a good sense of humour, is very organised with her sessions and gets straight into them session even if I'm procrastinating or faffing. Overall, there's a good balance of fun, and work and having thought I could get great results alone for years and that personal trainers were unecessary and only for rich people, I'm finding that while there is a lot you can do alone, a personal trainer is always going to be benefitial if it's affordable to you. I already feel a lift in my mood after only a few sessions and I look forward to them. I'm doing a 12 week course because that's what I can afford and Robyn is already thinking of and offering ways for me to keep up my training without her to a good standard once I finish. There's no sense of trying to get me to stay longer for her benefit. Just support for my individual needs and circumstances. I would recommend training with Robyn :).

I have been training with Robyn for about four months after coming to her being very (!) unfit after months of sitting still during lockdown. My main reason for joining was to strenghten my weaker areas which have been causing me back and shoulder pain from sitting too much behind a desk. I am pleased to say that not only do I no longer suffer from these aches and pains but I have also seen massive improvements in my strenght, gaining me competitive advantage on the hockey pitch!
