Love the atmosphere here, equipment is thoroughly cleaned regularly and the staff are always happy to offer up advice. Could do with more duplicates of some weight machines e.g. leg press. Only downside which can’t be helped is that it can get very busy at rush hour times… don’t all gyms though?!

Decent prices of 19.99 per month and lots of equipment available. Rarely need to queue for equipment even during peak hours. The music is often too loud - users like myself listen to my own audio in headphones or talk to partner while working out, both of which is disturbed by the volume. The decor is low quality and spotlights are always angled at eye level for some reason.

The gym is really nice, clean and tidy. You can easily find all the machines that you need. There is only one problem: the music! It is so loud that you may think you are in a night club. Please stop to put the music on very high volume!

On the positive side it is easy to park and the gym has plenty of equipment, although the mix of kit could be better e.g. loads of squatting racks but only two leg press. On the negative side, equipment is often out of order, the music is ridiculously loud and most of the staff never engage with the customers.

Love this gym. No posers. The pts are very kind and calm always smiling and helpful. The monthly fee is very reasonable. I do go generally in the early morning when its a bit quite. But the vibe is one of no posers. Thats why i like this gym

Great gym, great set up and interior look. Staff helpful but no locks on sale in the vending machines which is annoying. The major down side to the gym is parking. The car park is shared with 4 shops but the abilities of drivers in the are is something that lacks at busier times.

Love this gym so much, the vibes are right, the people are friendly and supportive and it’s so well equipped! All the staff are welcoming and on hand for advice or help when you need it. Manager Nadiyah though is the most kind hearted, lovely person I’ve ever met, she’s helped me overcome gym anxiety, hit PB’s and she has been there every step of the way through a charity deadlift event I held for cancer research.

I love this gym, i normaly jump on the treadmill first and then step machine and cross trainer and then rowing machine and lastly some biking, i dropped one star becos of the air con blasting away in the changing room at me while i got dressed 🥶🥶🥶 this was over a month ago mind n even more freezing than it is now, suffice to say i havent showered in the gym again, not just becos of the air con but i save alot more time showering at home.overall lovely gym. Great place to releive stress..seems alot more busier the last few times ive come here since the new year.

Plenty of free weights and equipment for all to use and I rarely have to wait for the equipment to be free even at peak hours. Also, the staff are friendly and most gym goers are welcoming to newcomers.

The best gym in town! This gym is great for all gym goers, new or experienced. Everyone is friendly and I don’t feel judged when I go there. The staff are extremely helpful especially the manager Nad’s and Brogan. It’s the cleanest gym I’ve been to and always see the lovely cleaning staff around. They have great classes on offer for all skill levels. Overall would recommend this gym to everyone

Decent gym. Good quality kit...far better than needed given the type of gym it is. Cardio equipment not cleaned as regularly as it could be but difficult to keep on top of at peak times

Vastly better than the gym that came before it. Large, well equipped, smartly laid-out and with a killer 'Crossfit' section in the corner. Lunge track with Prowlr is a great addition and the studio is really well kitted out now with a great rack of functional gear. Spin studio is much improved and now isolated behind screens with jazzy LED's. Heaps of benches in the free weights section. Gym doesn't have that smell of stale sweat like it used to (unfortunately the changing rooms have retained that aspect, I think it's baked in at this point). In fact, it has every bit of kit I've ever wanted or needed (including a GHD machine!). 7 squat racks, 4 of which are on the 6 oly platforms. The fact that there are proper Oly platforms, and several of them, in a £20 a month gym is amazing. Only major cons are the members total inability to put weights back on the racks. Often having to go on a weight hunt because evidently the clientele can't read the massive numbers that indicate what goes where. It'd also be a bonus to have some heavy kettlebells/dumbells next to the Prowlr track as well for farmers walks/weighted lunges etc but that's a minor niggle.

A good variety of equipment and even when it's busy you don't have to queue for equipment. My only quibble is the lighting - it must have been installed by a contractor that normally does night clubs. It's too dark!

Absolutely love this gym. Mainly do classes, feel very comfortable in them but also in the rest of the gym when doing my own stuff. Staff excellent- Becky and Ivo are brilliant. Highly recommend!

It's a nice looking gym, and quite a few machines. I believe though they could have way more dumbbells, that's something I can never find.

Great classes but they have now been reduced, due to no shows, so please update your class schedule by going onto their website. Friendly staff and users. Previously I found it intimating but now I don't. Jd gym please allow us to bring a nate for free to try it out. Also more circuit training at 6pm please

From what it used to be, (Xercise4less), it's a massive difference. Made very good use of the space and new equipment. My only concern is it was very busy, And it wasn't even peak. They've done the best they can do, with social distancing measures; Spacing out the machines, having signage, clear screens between cycle machines and cleaning stations dotted around.

I like it because the staff is really helpful, welcoming and professional ! Equipments are mostly new and in a very good working condition. Changing rooms are nice and clean. Above all, it serves the purpose! 🙂

I Have been attending JD Jym since it was launched I really like JD Jym staff are very freindly also the cleaners and personal training I Allway's find equipment to be usable at any time I enter the Jym the shower rooms are good I just feel it could be heated better that's my only issue with attending JD Jym other than that I love to work out at JD Jym

Good gym, revamp was impressive. CrossFit section needs to be rethought as it's far too cramped to do any sort of wod in and filled with people who clearly have no intention on doing anything CrossFit related.

I have to say this gym is very good, clean, plenty of apparatus all around, great dumbells selection, my only complaint is considering the amount of free weight apparatus machines and bench presses combined there is no way enough plates for the machinery/benches, on a busy time it’s impossible to train properly at the weights you require, this is something I believe that needs to be addressed quickly before this gym starts loosing clients.

Have done a fair few gyms since living in Bristol ‘la fitness’ ‘luxe’ and most recently ‘Pure gym barrow road and brislington’ This is by FAR the best gym I’ve ever been to!!! I’ll start with the amount of dead lift stations and squat racks. 7 dead lift stations !!! A crazy amount of benches also and 2 glute drives ! If free weights aren’t for you there are a ton of Machines also !! The studio room is beautiful and has lane markers for lunges. The spin bikes and cardio equipment is beautiful 🥹 The fact that it is 24 hours now is Amazing ! I go at 6 and it’s pretty much empty 😍 The music for me is amazing I often take my headphones off and listen to the drum and bass 🎶 Parking on site is bliss and even the cleaner is friendly when I go at least ! Other gym goers seem to be people who respect the gym and aren’t there for posing etc etc 🙏 The only thing I would ask is that the spin bike and studio stays open all the time as I’ve been before 6am and they are locked which is the only slightly downside I have 🔒 I am so glad I decided to switch from pure gym to JD, genuinely you won’t find a more kitted out spacious gym with good vibes !!

Rarely have to queue for equipment(I go in the morning). The staff are on top of cleanliness and tidying. I don’t attend classes so can’t comment. The music in the gym is far too loud and also not to my taste although that’s just my preference

Great gym really modern full of equipment! Never wait for any machines. Only thing I’d say is half of the staff there never smile, not really chatty. They think there better because there bigger and stronger which makes the gym really unwelcoming. For example can’t be bothered to say thank you when you let them pass down the stairs. The other half is really friendly approachable but some haven’t seen or don’t work there anymore.
