J. S.Amazing Gym! The equipment is fantastic and the staff is super friendly and makes everyone feel very, very welcome. For me this gym is the perfect hybrid between CrossFit and MMA. I have trained at many places in Bristol before and SweatBox offers hands down the best of everything (it is even heated). And just in case you need another reason: they also do bang on coffee ;)
M.The best gym! Best jiu-jitsu school in Bristol. Amazing Muay Thai classes! Very experienced boxing coaches. Atmsphere of equality and respect. Everyone is welcome. No question unanswered. The staff takes care of every single person. Great introduction to the gym for new people. I love this place!

Everything is made to make you feel comfortable and suit your training needs, from the top quality equipment to the lovely personnel, the healthy food available onsite and also the very qualified PTs that will help you achieve your goals. It is highly recommended for people of all ages and levels.
A. B.A quality gym with experienced and knowledgeable staff in a range of disciplines. There are plenty of classes to suit everyone's needs and a wide range of equipment, people and personalities. It can seem daunting at first but this really is a place where everyone can find something that works for them and I consider the gym my second home.
A. L.My workouts here were the highlights of my day. The trainers quickly became friends as they kept their workouts varied and daunting. The combination of strength and calisthenics classes gave me an all around functional strength I haven't had in years. I have been to many gyms in my life, but this one was my favorite, bar none.
N. B.In Bristol for work and was looking for a Crossfit gym I could go to for a drop in class.
Sam is a brilliant coach and he helped improve my rope climb attempts more in the 15 minutes I spent with him than 4 years of crossfit in other gyms 😂 he's really friendly and chatty and was great at motivating everyone in the class.
Remember to bring something warm to wear for the warm up if you feel the cold as the crossfit is done round the back of the gym in a sort of big garage lol will definitely be back here when in Bristol.
S. H.I went down to SweatBox as it’s local to my house and wanted somewhere to train for fitness and keep my boxing skills ticking over. The facilities in the new gym are certainly the best in Bristol, and for the weeks where I don’t feel enthusiastic about boxing training there’s Calisthenics/fitness/BJJ and a good weights section.

The gym itself is a fantastic multipurpose facility, that caters for A broad spectrum of people from young children to world-class professional athletes, the staff are friendly and helpful , they are happy share there experiences in order for you to meet your goals, whether that be general fitness or competing in your chosen sport . There is a vast selection of classes to cater for all your needs. There is a nice reception area where you can have fresh coffee and chat . I thoroughly recommend sweatbox . I love the Brazilian juijitsu taught by world class Pedro Bessa.
t. p.Excellent facilities and an amazing feel to the place, I train almost 100% Jiujitsu sharing the huge mats with multiple black belts and pro MMA fighters but this gym has so much more to offer.. best in Bristol without doubt...
T. S.Sweatbox is an amazing gym, friendly staff who are passionate about what they do and amazing fitness facilities. In terms of martial arts, opinions can be biased but with 10+ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, active experienced professional fighters in Bjj, MMA, Thai Boxing and western Boxing you can't go wrong. The best bit of it all is that whether it's your first class or you're a professional athlete, everyone's treated with the same level of respect.
R.I was looking for a place like this for a long time. If you join Sweatbox gym you will be able to try martial arts, fitness classes or use gym/gym equipment all under one roof. I have advice for newcomers. I'm a person who is very sensitive to environment and it takes time for me to adjust and feel comfortable especially in the environment like this. I advice you to go to BJJ beginners on tue and thur or to talk to John (with whom you can have 121 - totally worth it!). It will be a nice way to meet people and acclimatize. Owners make sure that at Sweatbox there is no place for toxic masculinity/aggressive behaviour/big egos etc. Overall great place, lovely coaches and nice vibe!

Doesn’t matter if you’re just stating your fitness / martial arts training or you’re already a pro athlete, they will welcome you , teach and help you grow the best they can . SweatBox is also kid friendly and have their own cafe at the back of the gym . Best place . They have mma , boxing , Brazilian jiu jitsu , Muay Thai , callisthenics , CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting and loads of personal trainers . Also there is a yoga studio and sports massage therapist. Everything in one place . I love it .

L. G.SweatBox gym is the best fitness centre in Bristol. The facilities are amazing! Brand new gym equipment, great shower and changing rooms with a cafe that sells good coffee and nutritious food. Considering its strong martial arts bias it's much more than the old style spit and sawdust venue! The teaching staff are very welcoming, and so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Most have competed and can bring their experience and technical knowledge to each session. Cannot say a bad word against the gym. It's amazing!! :)

M. M.I love this place. I've never used a gym like it. It's great for calisthenics but offers a lot more including martial arts and boxing. There's no advertising like in some bigger chains and there's a nice sense of community. The staff are friendly and know their stuff. They also choose the music which means it is very varied although sometimes a bit loud. It can be a bit overrun on the weekends with kids and parents during classes, but they're not a big problem.

J. F.Having trained in martial arts for nearly 30 years I can honestly say that the atmosphere and facilities at the gym are top class.
For every level from beginners to professional they always make time to help you and listen to what you need. Some gyms just seem to care about the “athletes “but every one gets a warm welcome in my experience.
Can’t recommend it enough.

Since moving to Bristol I was looking for a safe place to restart training mixed martial arts and without a doubt I chose Sweat Box.
