It is a Decent gym. Crowd is fine. There are classes which are pretty good on a daily basis both morning and evening. Swimming pool is temperature controlled which is the best part and sauna and steam rooms are also there. Steam and sauna could have been bigger as it gets crowded sometimes. Rest staff is always available for help and are very friendly. Meets all basic requirements.

Rejoined this gym and It's still as good as I remember. The staff are friendly, the gym area is A.Ced so it's great for an intesnse work out. There seems to be more classes than I remember. The pool is still great as is the sauna and steam room. Highly reccomend, especially as I was paying the same for a gym without a pool of sauna, etc.

I was a member there when it was LA Fitness. In it's present form it outdoes the old gym. Much cleaner and the shower dispensers are always topped up. Very good equipment although the rowing machines need to be looked at. Only a few have working display consoles and the occasional foot strap is missing. Never seems to be any staff in the gym so I have no one to go to for advice or assistance. Being a fit seventy eight year old it would be nice to think a trained member of staff was around in case of emergency. It's much better than my last gym and I am happy to stay a member.

Been with this gym for just over a year. Sustained an injury (not at gym) and was out of gym action for 6 weeks. Upon my return, I was disappointed to have found that some gym equipment had still not been fixed. The air conditioner system is poor. The car park is a mess when busy. Used to find the gym to be OK, but I have now decided to cancel my subscription due to the equipment standards falling well below par as well as the cleanliness of the gym. Staff did not seem at all bothered when I requested to cancel my subscription. Such a shame....I'll go somewhere else. It truly is you get what you pay for. Update...September 2018....the gym had an overall revamp. All new and modern equipment. Really worth the money now. Even the staff look happy again.

Quality setup. They have taken control of the COVID restrictions and the booking system works a dream. No issues with booking in and a decent number of people in the gym at one time which means everything is safe. Plenty of sprays and sanitiser all over the gym floor. All members encouraged to clean before and after use as well as the staff deep cleaning multiple times a day. The staff absolutely make this gym. I wouldn’t train anywhere else!

Everything you need in a gym, the changing rooms are a good size with plenty of lockers and hairdryers. Swimming pool is very good and has a sauna and steam room, however I would say that the pool can get overcrowded very quickly, especially if there is swimming lessons going on in the pool at the same time. The gym itself has plenty of cardio and weights machines as well as a selection of free weights. They also offer classes there but I personally have never been to one.

I was never a big gymn fan simply because it seemed too much like hard work. However, I joined a couple of weeks and can honestly say I love it. I tend to stick yo classes where I find the teachers are amazing and push you to your own level. Look forward to toning up and feeling fit in the coming new year.

I have found staff friendly and helpful. Especially the cleaning staff who are always happy to see hello. Good value gym and swimming oool for the remarkable price. Recent overhaul of decor and new equipment in main trainibg/ weights area have made it a far nicer place.

Staff never discuss anything fitness related. Staff have to promote drinks when you arrive at the gym - very annoying. Personal Trainer initial meeting lacked professional. I decided it to proceed with further sessions so he now won’t even say hi! Staff basically lack genuine customer service skills or training. Nice people but clearly not targeted on creating a great customer experience. Parking can be tricky when in peak periods. Pool area is basic. Sauna is small. Gym is always being cleaned. Equipment is average. Decent room. Air con a bit unreliable in the summer. Good free weights. Staff not proactive in ensuring customers folks gym rules. Weights often all over the place and dropping weights instead of lowering them. In three years no member of staff has asked me how is my training going. Or if they can help with anything. Promised new equipment last summer but it never arrived. For the money the gym is good value.

Great for the price but comes with the proviso that machines will take months to be repaired, the car park is tiny so if there is a class on and youre not early then no gym for you. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room is cramped and the pool is not chlorinated so it's hard to tell how clean it is but you don't feel clean while in it. All that said its very hard to find a gym locally that even offers these facilities so in summary it's good but if I could afford Leisure World colchester or was willing to sign a year long contract with them I would go there instead

Equipment has all recently been refreshed and is now brand new. £20 a month for gym and swim is a brilliant deal. In general it's never packed full of people. The classes tend to be busy but the gym stays quiet. The biggest flaw is with the new change to Everlast they have removed the water fountains so you buy more water from them. So if you're going fill up a bottle before you go. I used to buy drinks from here but don't anymore out of spite for having the fountains removed.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews. Essentially this is what was LA Fitness but with Everlast branding. Nothing else has changed and it still has a great swimming pool and wet facilities. It’s clean, and everything I’ve used has worked. It is very reasonably priced so it is what it is. Perhaps complainers should go to one of the more expensive gyms as obviously have no understanding about the economics of providing a low cost public facility.

A pretty alright gym, the steam room and sauna is a great bonus and makes the subscription a pretty sweet deal, i cycle in so the parking doesn't effect me. Only minor issue is the limited opening hours, every other gym ive been a member of had a 24 hour thing. Apart from that no probs.

Beware of the ramp in their private road, far to high and dangerous to any cars. Any damage to your car and claim from Everlast, its their responsibility to pay up..!!
