Dirty outdoor pool tiles and water too hot for a swimmer, however the indoor pool is great with the jacuzzi, the hammam and the sauna, the gym is immaculate the tennis courts are good but there are not enough badminton. The food is quite expensive... Beware of peak hours when there are a lot of people and families (because this place is really fun with the family). But the customer service is really bad for the price you pay.

One of the best place to exercise and be happy:))) One day hopefully I will be able to come back! I really really enjoyed all my time I spend in the gym, sauna and outside swimming pool! Really recommend if you can just go!

Great aqua class with emiko! Hope she continues a class when we can go back inside! We'd love to have 4 classes a week, Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri & maybe an evening class @ the weekend!? Got another aqua class on Tuesday now! Other classes much the same! Lot of improvement work being done later in year, looks good in video! Glad to have now got an easier way of getting to changing rooms Lot changed, middle of huge upgrade, spas etc Not good @ moment getting to changing rooms! Either by stairs or around outside pool! Yoga studio been cold the last number of weeks!! But an amazing afternoon tea on offer now! £25 for 4, very generous portions! Hope stays available for long time!

The classes are great. I enjoy the cardio tennis and rhythm (spin) in particular. The pool water is well looked after (not heavy in chlorine). Staff are helpful when you need them.

Whilst David Lloyd is the most expensive gym/health club in Derby, the top membership option costs typically the same for a whole month as just one night out eating/drinking in town. Many facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna/steam room, tennis, badminton, squash, classes, excellent social bar/restaurant area, soft play area and lots more. You could even tell them that I recommended you when you join too!! 😉😎

Great gym, lots of facilities and high quality equipment. Reasonable range of instructors but not the best. Big lounge for chatting and chilling, nice coffee and interesting cold drinks. Enjoy the monthly quiz. Be good when the building work is finished too many blanked windows. I enjoy being a member!

I have just joined this gym after 21yrs at my old gym. Am loving the choice of classes, a great pool...am determined to do some tennis, the cafe is great & so far the staff & members have been welcoming & lovely! Am really enjoying it!

I've only been for a introductory chat and tour but it looked fantastic and my partner joined has been 4 times in 2 weeks and loves the 2 pools, particularly outdoor pool and jacuzzi, plus indoor steam room. It's £54 a month I think for basic membership, plus £100 joining fee. The spinning, blaze workout room, gym and 2 yoga exercise rooms look spot on, lots of classes, but not tried any yet. Tennis courts really good obs. Only nit pic partner not keen on coffee. Oh and staff and other members v friendly.

Had an afternoon here as a guest and a really relaxing experience. There is a large indoor and outdoor pool, areas for children, fast slow lanes and free swim areas. The outdoor pool is heated so a delight in any weather type. A very large changing and showering facility. Caters for many varied sporting activities and lots of classes to suit all tastes.

It's a great gym with excellent facilities & instructors & a fantastic mix of classes on the timetable. My favourite classes are Rhythm, Sprint, Body pump & pilates.

I absolutely love this gym, i have been a member of other gyms and this tops the lot. I went for the platinum membership which at first i thought expensive but £30 a week i soon realized wasn't expensive. I love the classes and the staff. The little things like them giving you towels to use and also the body wash in the showers, its elemis. i go in the day and play badminton, do the yoga and pilates and also go in the gym, which i never find to busy. david lloyd also have a neat app that allows you to book classes and courts. i would recommend to any1

For a premium fitness centre and for the price you would expect a higher quality establishment. Outside pool tiles eroding away and grimey needs a refurb. Nonetheless still a joy to be able to swim outside as the temperature of the inside pool is like bath water if you’re a fitness swimmer this could be a problem. Sales team don’t care, once they’ve signed you up your after sales questions and emails get ignored. This is notorious for DL. Changing rooms are always baking hot and temperatures of showers even on the coldest setting still comes out too warm and pressure not as high as lower priced clubs. Cheap shower gel (not the same as lower priced clubs that supply Elemis). Classes are a good mixture and plenty to chose from so you’ll never get bored. Excellent equipment in the gym. Friendly staff on reception. Very clean throughout. All in all if it wasn’t for the 20M outside pool I don’t think the £ton a month is really worth it. But it’s personal preference at the end of the day. I’d say it was better for families and children and peak times get a little chaotic in the corridors/cafe area as the lay out could have been designed to be more practical.

Would give it 5 star as the place is very nice to train at. However a lot of machines are rusty and could do with some oiling. Most the cable machines are so rusty the pins struggle to go in and out. I only noticed this as i usually use the Leicester branch and the machines here are maintained very well. Every few days i notice the machines getting sprayed with oil. Makes a big difference in the way the machine perform

I have recently joined David Loyd in Derby, so far really happy with the Gym and all club's facilities. I would say it may seem a bit too expensive for Platinum Membership, but it definitely worth it. Even with all this madness of Covid they are capable to provide with an excellent service, I love DLC gym equipment, also, a great swimming pool and tennis courts! Clean and tidy, staff is polite and very helpful. Excellent!

Really nice gym equipment, pool and courts: most cardio equipment has a television with satellite TV. Staff are really pleasant, never had an issue here. The only downside for me is the café, the food is sometimes a little expensive for what it is. Simple food, but mkst of the time tasty. Apparently it's beong done out. Overall a great gym if you are willing to pay the fee, superb facilities on the whole.

Great club for all ages. Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Do several fitness classes and motivated by enthusiastic trainers (especially Jane😀!) Great cardio badminton sessions too. Club works well with what's on locally: handy curries when Derby County are playing at home.

Great venue. However on match day avoid the place for a couple of.reasons. members can park there free on matxh days so people not going to game struggle. And the area is gridlocked before and after the game. Its not really changed or moved with the times. The kids nurse is really secure
