I joined Mantis over two years ago and now my two girls have joined me too….so I can say from experience the classes for all age groups are great fun, very welcoming and encourage respect. There is no pressure to complete each belt, you can do this at your own pace. There are different levels to sign up to depending on how many times a week you can make it to train which makes it flexible when you have a family… or just a busy week! I was recommended the club by a friend and I really enjoy it, it challenges me and is a fantastic way to stay fit.

It started with my kids going and loving the people and atmosphere, then I started in January 2022 and not looked back. Great people, didn't do any martial arts before starting and it's all about building up your fitness and confidence based around pad work. High recommended to anyone looking for fitness or trying something new

My teenage daughter started classes earlier this year. She was struggling with confidence after the covid lockdowns and now she is much less anxious and is flourishing into a much more confident young lady. the staff team are incredibly patient and nurturing . It is a very open friendly and inclusive place to be.

Absolutely love training at Mantis!! Great people, very supportive! I now train 3 times a week… My daughter has recently also joined, she is physically disabled and mantis have made her very welcome. She looks forward to training every week. The sessions are made so everyone can work at their own ability which is really important for her

I joined Mantis just over 2 years ago, along with my 2 daughters. I wasn’t sure at first whether kick boxing was for me, but can honestly say I love it! The Sensi’s are all great and really encouraging. A fun way to improve your fitness and make new friends

Our family of 4 are absolutely loving our sessions with Mantis! 🥊
Originally we were looking for something for the children to do to replace karate, but then my husband and I wanted to get in on the action for the family sessions and we haven’t looked back 😊
It’s a really special place, so supportive and not at all intimidating. You’re made to feel at ease and you work on self improvement rather than comparing yourself to others. It’s all very respectful and everyone I’ve met has been completely lovely.
Please don’t be worried about turning up on your own, you’ll be mixing and making new friends from your first session.
I now do 2 classes a week as there’s a new ladies only class in Spondon, which is brilliant.
If I can start kickboxing at 40, having never done anything like it, then so can you.
Give it a go, nothing to lose and so much to gain!

I rejoined recently after a break and I love it. I feel really inspired to keep going until I get my black belt. The lessons are really fun and the senseis are kind and funny. They encourage us to work harder to build up our strength and technique.

My review evie aged 9
Let me begin by saying, Mantis body and mind is a safe and friendly environment. When you walk in you are greeted with a warm, friendly smile. Everyone is so helpful. I would definitely recommend everyone to join. I have been with mantis for almost a year and will be there for many more to come.

Amazing team that work hard to promote a healthy body and mind. My 6 yrs old daughter loves going, she finds it rewarding and always feels good when she has finished a good seasson of kickboxing. It has improved her repect and understand of others which is an important life skill. She is proud to be associated and part of the mantis team.
