New venue for santinos gym is mind-blowing its by far the best gym in derby.staff are amazing,members are so helpful and if your serious about training your body and mental self confidence then theres no better place than santinos gym.

In Derby for a couple weeks with work and found this little gem of a gym! Reasonably priced, not too busy and very clean! The gym staff are friendly and attentive, 100% recommend this place!

Santinos is one of a kind. Many places say that they are like a family and fall flat of the statement. Santinos however certainly do have a family feel that makes you feel welcome the second you walk through the door. Owners Kim and Julie and the rest of the team are always happy to chat and offer friendly advice. Other gym users are both approachable and don't pry, they just get on with their workout. A step away from your average chain gym and a lovely environment to work out. The merch is also of good quality and reasonably priced.

An old building on two floors. Upstairs is a large beamed, wooden floor area for dancing or karate and downstairs is set up with all heavy and varied gym equipment. The place is well equiped but the make over of the inside leaves a lot to be desired and needs attention on decor to bring it into the 21st century. You can buy body building supplements at the main desk in the foyer

What an awesome place to train. Having previously been a member at The Gym and JD, Santino's is a breath of fresh air! Good selection of free weights and bars, lots of machines, some old, some new, all chosen because they work well. Kim and julie are also very friendly and welcoming. Proper gym 💪💪

Superb Gym in the centre of Derby! Owners Kim and Julie are really welcoming and able to offer help and advice for first timers up to advanced PT sessions to achieve personal fitness goals. A strong sense of community within the gym makes it a great place to train solo or with a friend as I have done for the last 3 years. As a new member (and very shy) I received lots of help and friendly advice on form and had Kim and other members spot for me when I was training alone, something I have never witnessed at any mainstream gym! The Changing rooms and exercise spaces are clean and members take pride in keeping the gym free from towels/empties and wiping down machines thoroughly after use I Would also recommend Santino’s to all Derby students living locally (DE1/Student Halls) as it is SO close and there are student offers on memberships which really helped me when I came to Derby Uni!

I've been a member of the gym for about 2 yeas now. The gym has now moved from its home on Nunns Street to Great Northern Road. The gym now has much more space and more equipment, more rooms upstairs for other things such as a boxing club, beautician and other things to come apparently. The owner, Kim is a font of knowledge and always willing to give advice when asked. He also does one to one sessions. Since I've been going I've noticed a change in my physique. Best gym I've ever been to for just about everything you can think of. Highly recommended 👌

All I can say is wow! Santinos gym is well maintained with excellent facilities, the staff make you feel welcome and are friendly, the owners make it there priority to insure you feel comfortable and nothing is too much trouble and are more the happy to give you advice, and talk you through all the equipment you can tell the staff love what they do and are very passionate about the job which makes the whole experience even better. There isn't a gym like it in derby definitely worth a visit!

I've been training for 27yrs and been to most gyms in Derby over the years. I joined Santino's 12 months ago having become stagnant at my previous gym, looking back I wish I had made the move earlier as I can honestly say that I once again really enjoy my workouts. The equipment is excellent and well maintained the fellow members are a great bunch and Kim is an inspiration to us all and Julie does a fantastic job of keeping everything in check. Highly recommended 👍

Best gym for miles around. If you want results.. this is the place to go. You will be greeted by warm genuine staff.. people that know their stuff... not some disinterested teenager like at some other gyms I've been to..!!! kim is a world champion athlete and is willing to share his experience with anyone that wants it. If you are serious about making a change... you won't go wrong here!!! The gym has everything you need and the upstairs space for dance /classes and parties etc is a huge bonus. Five stars... all day long.. great gym !

Santino's is the best gym I've ever been to. It isn't massive but Kim (the owner) has hand picked every piece of equipment so that everything you need is there. What makes it stand out is the atmosphere. Kim is a great guy who is always talking to people and all the other gym-goers will have a chat with you too. It's not a big corporate gym and that's what makes it great!

Just started here with my partner but he has been using this gym a while. Kim and his wife are lovely and welcoming. The gym is on the small side but has everything you need, and also classes are available they are free for members of £4 per session. Always clean and with music to get you motivated! Would recommend!

Joined Santinos about a month ago after moving to the area and absolutely love it. Proper old school gym weights downstairs, but upstairs is where it's at.Boxing ring and punch bags galore plus plenty of keep fit stuff at a very competitive membership price. Run by a lovely friendly couple I would recommend this to gym to everyone.

I visited Santino’s today whilst on a two day visit to Derby and what a little gem this place is! Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly lady, who was more than happy to help with anything. The owner who was equally as friendly, gave me a quick run down on what equipment they had and from what I saw, there was equipment for any goal. I did my usual 45-60 min full body workout and found everything that I needed. I think it’s safe to say that there are no egos in this place and it’s a very fun and friendly place to workout no matter what your goal is. I’ll definitely be visiting again when I’m next in Derby.

I just read Dennis Henshaw's review and I have to say that I totally disagree! The Studio is an amazing space that has a beautiful chandelier and Canadian oak dance floor. The decor is charming and the atmosphere wonderful!!!

Had a great session, loved the vibes really chilled and not stressful or very crowded, everyone I spoke to was so friendly and helpful

Response to Avni Kaur - I am a female member who has been at the gym for the whole two years it has been open. There are a dozen female members of various walks of life and colour who have never ever once been subjected to sexist, prejudiced or racist comments againest themselves or any of the gym members. There are 24 nationalities, 5 religions and an array of cultures. We get along together, have each others backs when it comes to advice, we live, breathe and sleep to enrich our lives with good health.Racism...wake up!! I conclude that you are delusional by all accounts accompanied with bad hearing! The gym owner had a dream to open his own gym, help people improve their lives and maintain an extremely excellent and professional outlook. And you know what....he did it! He has a flawless reputation throughout the whole of the UK and you're trying to damage it??? Let's be honest, can you do what he has done with over 30 years experience??

Lovely place. Well laid out, friendly atmosphere but most importantly I felt welcomed. Just moved into the area (literally around the corner) so this helped loads. Had a good family atmosphere which is a rarity these days. Hats off!

Been to lots of gyms around derby you always find a lot of attitude and big egos I trained at David loyds for a long time and this gym puts their customer service to shame the atmosphere is great and calm the owner is an absolute legend very humble and down to earth 5 stars to Santints gym
