I've been attending Bootcamp for a couple of years now and it's been great to have for my physical fitness but also mental wellbeing. Dave is very knowledgeable, motivating and cheery (even in the worst of weather). I get so much more out myself working in the class than I would working alone at a gym. Different abilities are well catered for with a choice of weights to work with and plenty alternatives to exercises. Highly recommended.

Edinburgh Bootcamp is fantastic and Dave is the most motivating and positive coach I've had. The classes suit all abilities from beginners to extremely fit people as there are variations to each exercise and different weights. I would recommend this to anyone looking to lose weight, tone up or just to get fitter and stronger. It also makes you feel more energetic and lifts your mood after each class. A massive mix of people go to the classes but all I've met have been kind, encouraging and positive. What a lovely bunch. Come join us.

Dave's Edinburgh Bootcamp classes are great! I went from doing pretty much zero exercise and lost 3 stone in 6 months of Bootcamp. It doesn't take long to see and feel positive effects.
It's almost 2 years since I started now and Dave has never repeated a class so you always get something different and challenging each time. He's a fantastic coach and motivator and really encourages you to keep going and improve.
The classes cater for a range of ability and Dave is able to look after everyone, giving alternative exercises when needed to take into account injuries or fitness.
It's a great group of people too and there are some really fun social events throughout the year.
I highly recommend Edinburgh Bootcamp and if you want to lose weight as well, check out David's Leanfit program.

If you have ever thought about trying outdoor exercise classes then try Dave’s classes now. He is the most energetic and motivating instructor you could ever meet, every class is different and every class is fun. What’s great is you can do it at any level as you can do less reps, or less weight or modify the exercises to suit you and there is never any pressure. Many times I have not felt like going to a class but I have never regretted it once there. If you stick at it you WILL see results I am stronger with less aches and pains. Do it!

Edinburgh Bootcamp is absolutely great! It's a really friendly environment and every single workout is different - I've been going since 2016 and have never done the same workout twice! Dave is a great coach who never shouts and is always happy to adapt things when necessary. If you're thinking about coming along, definitely give it a try, no matter what level of fitness you have. Everyone just turns up, tries their best and there is zero judgement.

I joined Bootcamp 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. Dave’s a top man who’ll encourage and help you every step of the way. I started once a week and now I do classes at least twice a week. I feel much better for it and have had to buy a new wardrobe
It’s a great community to be part of and everyone’s at different levels of fitness so don’t feel intimidated. We all have to start somewhere. Give it a try!

I can’t say enough good things about Edinburgh Bootcamp! Dave is great, a real motivator and he makes every session different and fun. All ages and abilities are able to fit into the sessions straight away, and feel included. You can just take it at your own pace and there’s never any element of feeling as if your too slow. Dave explains every exercise really well and helps with technique if it’s new to you to make sure you get the best out of the session for yourself. Thoroughly recommend it, it’s addictive!!

I cannot rate Dave's Bootcamp highly enough! It is a fantastic way to start the day and although it is tough, it really brings on your fitness. Dave is motivating, encouraging and really good at making sure everyone is watching their technique to prevent injury. He pushes you - but not in a shouty way! There are loads of classes to chose from and a really nice bunch of people going along. No class is ever the same so you get a good mix of strength, stamina and conditioning training. Definitely worth coming along and giving it a go!

I absolutely love the fitnesses classes at Edinburgh Bootcamp! Dave is without a doubt the most motivating and encouraging trainer i’ve ever met, his energy and enthusiasm are infectious! You can’t help but give 110% to your workout and you come away feeling awesome!
I’ve been doing Dave’s classes for a few years now and every class is different. Dave is always creating new and challenging workouts to keep you engaged regardless of your fitness level.
Most recently I’ve been going to the Mummy Fitness classes after having my wee girl in the summer. These are brilliant classes for mums who are looking to get back into exercise after being pregnant/raising kids. Dave tailors the exercises to allow you to go at your own pace and is on hand to offer any help/advice you might need. As an added bonus, it’s a great sensory experience for the babies too, my little one loves watching us all run around!!! When I can, I also try to get along to the Saturday morning classes, it’s good to have a bit of ‘me’ time and Dave’s been great at letting me go at my own pace as I try to get my fitness back up again.
These aren’t just fitnesses classes though, Dave has created a real community around the bootcamp with a running club, tough mudder teams and even a Christmas party!! I honestly can’t recommend Edinburgh Bootcamp highly enough, if you want to have fun while you workout and meet some great people in the process then these classes are for you!!!

I started with Dave doing the mummy bootcamp classes after my second child was born. I was very unfit and carrying a lot of extra baby weight so was quite nervous about starting my fitness journey again, however I need not have worried as the class was very friendly, Dave is very encouraging and enthusiastic (and also brilliant with the babies), you just go at your own pace with Dave making adjustments to the exercises should you need them. The classes were varied and fun and my baby enjoyed playing with the toys provided as well as watching what was going on.
I enjoyed the mummy bootcamp so much that once I got my fitness and core muscle strength up a bit, I also joined his regular bootcamp at the weekend. This was more challenging but just as much fun with another great group of people. My fitness and strength have improved vastly doing the classes. I would not hesitate to recommend Edinburgh Bootcamp no matter what your fitness level!

I love it! I’ve been doing Dave’s bootcamp at least twice a week since it started - at 06:15, a brilliant way to start the day.
It’s hard, but adjustable if you have an injury, and I always finish smiling and elated. I’m so much fitter and stronger now and part of a fantastic community of people.

The 6.15am class... You get up in the dark thinking what am I doing?.. this is not normal! At Fairmilehead Park there's Dave cheerful and welcoming and a community of people that he has brought together and it's completly normal and very sociable! Dave has made it easy to carry out the strengthening exercise that we all so need to do. He is a great coach he manages to ensure you do the exercises correctly and give your 100%for the full work out and are smiling at the end. A real skill. You feel great for the rest of the day. I don't have a problem with my knees but after 3 months of going regularly crouching down to a low cupboard felt so effortless and great!

I've been coming to bootcamp since summer 2016 and can't say enough positive things about Dave and the way outdoor exercise makes you feel generally. More recently after an ankle injury I have been doing some personal training with Dave which is doing me the world of good until I can get back into doing the classes again. I found Edinburgh Bootcamp over a year ago by searching online. I wanted to find a bootcamp that fitted into my busy life.
Dave was very welcoming and friendly, if you have any nerves you’ll soon forget them. The actual training/exercises differ each session and there is always alternative moves for those that require something slightly different for whatever reason.
I opted for the bronze package as I am a shift worker and this works well for me.
Dave is highly knowledgeable, very accommodating and helpful with any questions and advise - also his wife Carly is a lady full of nutritional knowledge. This leads me into talking about the Leanfit Programme they offer at Edinburgh Bootcamp.
I started as a Leanfit member in January 2018 (my husband joined in as I was cooking) and we both found the programme very interesting to start with as I’m not a natural cook, but the benefits were amazing and we honestly both felt the results. I have to be honest it wasn’t all plain sailing for me as I do like to socialise but Dave & Carly we’re there for support ALL THE WAY even now. The exercise side of the programme was fabulous to be able to do at home via webpage. Even the kids got involved.
There is also a separate Leanfit page where you can chat with others on the programme. I could talk about this all day but it’s best you look at the programme yourself and chat with Dave as it honestly is a life changing programme if your willing to take the challenge and make great changes in life.
It’s not all hard work and fitness focused at Bootcamp , social events are arranged especially at Xmas time as we all need to let loose and have fun.
Overall all if your looking for a way to destress, push yourself in many ways other than fitness, you want to get outdoors in all weathers, meet a bunch of folk, get the best advise about fitness & nutrition and just feel good about yourself!
Then come along to join us all at Edinburgh Bootcamp, it’s worth it alone for the friendly banter.

I found Edinburgh Bootcamp whilst looking to return to fitness after a couple of major knee surgeries. Dave had been brilliant at building up my confidence, whilst also ensuring I am able to adapt exercises to minimise the risk of reinjury.
I have built up to going 3 times a week and am fitter than I’ve been since my teens. Every workout is different which keeps it interesting and there is a real inclusive spirit amongst those that attend, encouraging each other along.

Just finished 5 sessions of personal training with David. Before the first session we sat down to discuss my aims. David then drew up a personal plan, aiming to working all the key muscles - he explained what each exercise targeted as we went along. Each session was different and involved strength, core and cardiovascular - and they were all really hard work (which is exactly what I wanted). They were also fun - David is really encouraging along the way. Importantly, the sessions lasted the full hour so you get your money's worth. I can already feel the benefits and have a plan for my ongoing training. I can highly recommend some PT sessions with David!

I have now been attending EBC weekly for almost 18 months and unless Dave will stop these classes I don't think I will ever stop. It takes a special person to consistently design and deliver sessions, each one unique, and I am not surprised he has built up such a large community of loyal members.
Dave continues live Facebook sessions even during lock-down and it is nice to be still part of EBC this way. Absolute first-class effort!

I can drop in as a pay as you go and smash out a full on workout with lots of kit!

I started Bootcamp in March this year after looking at the website for weeks but being too scared to go along. I eventually plucked up the courage to go and am so glad I did! It is the funnest and most productive exercise I have done in ages! Each class is different and attended by a range of abilities. I never feel too slow or too unfit, and David is the most motivating and enthusiastic coach around! He is always so bright and positive, even at 6am and it is amazing to start the day feeling so energetic and well. To anyone who is reluctant, i cannot recommenced this Bootcamp enough, it will become addictive!

I have been going to Edinburgh Bootcamp for 2 years and am a frumpy slumpy mum no more! I love it and have toned up and become fit. The Fairmilehead class is outside straight after school drop off and I am home again by 10am after having done a full work out. Dave is very understanding and helps with explaining to me (again and again) what we are doing! He also offers alternative exercises if you have aches and pains. Exercise helps me keep young, lets me eat more of what I like and I have no plans to stop anytime soon!

Dave is more than a fantastic PT. With him you get a PT with endless ideas on keeping workouts fresh, a nutrition coach who can help on the food front and also a qualified sports massage therapist. Bonus! Been going for about 18 months now and never had the same workout twice. He's great at helping focusing on goals and adaptable for injuries, niggles and keeping your spirits up. A tough taskmaster but if you're after results and commit yourself you'll see and feel great pretty quick through body MOTs and progress tests. He's a super chap and has patience and persistence in spades no matter what level your fitness. He can guide you on what, how and when you eat with no frills or fads. It's been a fun journey on my PT sessions and I've ever looked back.

David’s mummy bootcamp is fantastic!! I started going when my baby was about 10 weeks old. You take your baby along and they play on mats in front of you / sleep in their buggy beside you / crawl about etc and you can get on with your workout. The class is hard but very rewarding. I was introduced to this boot camp by my wife. I wasn’t sure what to expect as some boutcamps come across as someone shouting at you or so many people you don’t get personal attention. This boot camp is different. I am always welcome and being previously really fit, this was a great way to maintain fitness when time is short with young kids and a hectic job. The short busts of exercise are more effective than I ever found the gym and more efficient. There is a great community of similar minded people and no one is judgemental. Dave who runs it is very supportive and will find ways to help and encourage you to achieve your goals, no matter what level of fitness you have! The best bit for me is that it’s outside! As much as that sounds awful, it’s far more stimulating than being inside.
There is also an excellent diet plan that is very comprehensive as part of the business. I supported my wife whilst doing it and ate with her. I’ve never dieted before as I’ve never had to. I thought it would be tasteless. It was the opposite! I lost weight I didn’t need and became more lean.
All in all, it’s excellent. Just try the free taster session!

I have just completed my 8 week leanfit journey and wanted to give Dave and Carly a massive shout out and big thank you for getting me started on this. Leanfit is the nutrition programme Dave offers along with Bootcamp.
I had no idea what to expect when I started and was in fact a little overwhelmed when it came to figuring out what to eat, but 8 weeks on and there is no looking back. Dave and Carly’s motivational posts on the Facebook page really keep you going.
I have just finished lunch - yeh to leftover lentil bolognaise, cauliflower rice and some salad – this totally beats my go to cheese and tomato sandwich that used to be a fairly daily occurrence and thinking I wish I had started this journey earlier and taken a bit more time to think what I was eating every day.
Over the last 8 weeks, I have lost 17 lbs, 3 inches around my waist and 3 inches around my hips and really couldn’t feel better. I have discovered lots of great new recipes (I love food) and am enjoying doing more exercise (Dave and Carly's online workout videos are fab when to squeeze in some exercise at home) and I am no longer munching on unnecessary snacks every evening. I have fallen in love with cooking again and don’t feel guilty when I ‘cheat’ here and there.
I would highly recommend leanfit – go for it!

David is fantastic, encouraging and makes the impossible (a 6.15AM workout) enjoyable! I'm a complete convert to the early mornings, but if i can't quite make it the evening crew are just as fun! Leanfit is not just a nutrition plan but its a way of life. since starting it 18 months ago it has changed my way of eating and thinking about food. I have an illness called M.E, 3 young sons and work part time so my life is pretty hectic. But at least I have leanfit which helps me to manage my illness by eating vitamin packed smoothies and nutritious meals which keeps me going and my son's love the recipes too which is an added bonus. Dave and Carly are very supportive and helpful too.. I would highly recommend this even though I live in Suffolk I still can get all the help i need from them both .

Brilliant way of seeing noticeable improvements. I think the best way to sum it up is that you get out of it exactly what you choose to put in. There is no sergeant major style shouting (if there was i would probably run off - crying) - just lots of encouragement. I don't attend as frequently as i would like, but when i do it is always a supportive environment. You are competing with no one but yourself. Personally, I prefer it to the gym as i find it very easy to pontificate in the gym and probably do 10 mins of activity within a 45 mins period. It's a good 45 mins of structured activity (with rests). I wish i could get to this more often as it has such a positive effect on my mood, physical fitness ... and belt size. If you aren't sure, just go along once and see what it's like. Its 45 minutes out of your life (about how long it takes me to eat a packet of hobnobs ... you see my issue) - if you don't like it - you lost 45 minutes of your life and you know you gave it a go. You'll feel great for the rest of the day as well. And forget about worrying about achieving your step count for the day - you will sail past it without realising.
I think you'll like it and i think you will return ....I did.
