Great gym. Jamie is very knowledgeable about fitness and the body so makes sure you are working out effectively and safely.
Everyone is really friendly at the gym too so it's a great place to go even if you feel a bit nervous about gyms! I really recommend Jamie and Viking fit!

I can't recommend crossfit in Edinburgh highly enough, I've been training with Jamie for almost a year and love it. I have never experienced such a supportive training environment. Jamie balances the sessions at the right level to challenge both new comers and seasoned athletes and is always on hand to give brilliant constructive coaching. Give it a go, you won't look back!!

I'm writing as a response to the review by Gary below. £85 is for 24 hour/7 day access to the gym and the £100 is a returnable deposit for a key for self access.I think that is a pretty good deal for as many coached and uncoached, self access sessions any time you like in an empty gym.
£60 for a 6 month contract with access to 6 sessions a week equals £3 a session is the regular price.
Try reading the details first before commenting. You've never been a member anyway...so why bother?

If you're looking for a friendly, safe and non intimidating place to train, Crossfit Edinburgh is definitely the place to go. Jamie (owner/coach)'s knowledge is incredible and he is a fantastic coach - he explains things thoroughly and ensures everyone understands before moving on, he never stops watching and always corrects bad form and unsafe moves. He is patient and answers every question. The daily WOD is always scaled according to your ability - Crossfit IS suitable for everyone regardless of your fitness level - I have myself gone from being totally inactive, unable to complete even the basic fundamentals moves and terrified to try anything to being able to complete the daily WOD confidently and safely within two months. The box itself is well equipped and well situated, easily accessible by bus and with on street parking. The members are extremely encouraging and supportive and the place has a good community atmosphere. I highly recommend this box.

As an American CrossFitter visiting Edinburgh, I could not have been more impressed. Jamie is a fantastic coach, honest and knowledgeable, and the location is amazing. Our WOD in the park, with Arthur's Seat nearby, was a memory of a lifetime. This will be my go-to CF box when visiting Scotland, for sure.

A fantastic box run by an excellent coach who really understands individual needs. The training programme is diverse and suited to all members regardless of ability. There is a great sense of community at CrossFit in Edinburgh making training fun and highly supportive. I'd highly recommend CrossFit in Edinburgh to any would be crossfitter in the area.

The best CrossFit gym that I could have hoped to find in Edinburgh! It’s a special and friendly family where all the training-mates push each other to do their best. James is an experienced coach and a great mentor. He ensures that we work safely, learning and improving while moving correctly. He is always present and I thank him for all his teaching and patience!
Since I have started in January I’ve improved a lot in strength, mobility and mentality. ‘CrossFitinEdinburgh’ is not only about physical training but also mental attitude which stimulates everyone to overcome their difficulties, to be positive and to help each other! Every wod is challenging and suitable for all levels and the paired wods are also an incentive for doing better and the best. The Sunday beach wod is another fantastic 'plus' of this gym: to mixing swimming with the regular exercises. I do like it! As I like the training outside in Holyrood Park, so close to the Gym.
I love this family for their constant support and encouragement, and I do recommend it! It's indeed the most stimulating and friendly place for everyone who wants to do CrossFit in Edinburgh!

Have been going to this box for over two years. The combination of Jamie's vast experience and a well equipped centrally located box is a no brainer for me. Have enjoyed outdoor WOD's a plenty in Holyrood park and a good few social occasions. Jamie has been an extremely attentive coach helping negotiate the odd injury and adapting exercises to suit. Jamie and others have taken me beyond what I thought possible...can't put a pound sign in that.

Im not at all a confident Crossfitter and I have a very long way to go, but the support, encouragement and enthusiasm from all the others who attend is infectious. Jamie is a knowledgable and trustworthy force in this box and improvement is inevitable. I've met some amazing people here, made friends easily and had a brilliant laugh. Hell, I'm even allowed to swear at myself!
