CrossFit Astraea is a really supportive and friendly environment. The atmosphere at classes is great. The coaches are very knowledgeable, really encouraging and are always helping you to improve. It has been really nice getting to know fellow members and coaches, and the classes are really enjoyable and varied. Since joining CrossFit Astraea, I have improved physically (strength, flexibility, injury avoidance) which definitely wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t joined. I would definitely recommend joining CrossFit Astraea!

Fantastic gym and community. :) I’ve been doing CrossFit almost 6 years and training at Astraea since 2020 and it’s like a second home and family, particularly as I work from home! The programming is excellent to help members progress and achieve their goals, whether that’s competing, getting fitter or just having a good sweat. Andy and his team genuinely care about members and are able to advise, encourage and also enjoy some cheeky banter.

I’ve trained at CrossFit Astraea since it opened and cannot recommend the gym highly enough. I’m currently training with an Achilles injury and the coaches have been amazing at scaling and modifying all workouts so I can take part as I normally would. Andy and the team are playing a hugely positive role in both my physical and mental health rehab through all this. If you feel unsure about getting into weight training or think CrossFit isn’t for you then this is the gym and the community to change your mind.

Dropped Andy (owner) an email asking if I could visit the box over the Christmas period and he and his team were extremely accommodating. Great atmosphere and all the members were extremely welcoming! I've not met many coaches who has enthusiasm about fitness and CrossFit like Andy. The coaching at the box was on point, always offering advice and pointers during strength sessions and pushing you when needed during the WODs. Luckily, I visited when they had recently expanded and essentially doubled in size with more rig space and equipment! Look forward to coming back home to Glasgow in my next break and visiting the box again. CrossFit Astraea is everything a CrossFit box in the East-End of Glasgow should be!

I started as a complete newbie in September with no real goals or idea what I was doing. All of the trainers here are absolutely astounding. They're so encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable about all things fitness. For example, they're full of adaptations for injuries/flexibility/ability that deliver the same stimulus and still work towards recovery.They also know when and how to push you hard and safely. Andy (the owner) just friggin' rocks. The vibe is also awesome. This is the only crossfit gym I've been to so I don't know how it compares, but everyone here is super encouraging, competitive but in a fun way, and ultimately just good people. I never thought I'd be a gym person and now I absolutely love it, can't wait for the workout the next day basically as soon as I leave. If that's not an endorsement I don't know what is!

Awesome community full of excellent coaches ready to help at anytime. Workouts are excellent and thoroughly chosen daily. Facilities are great and have all materials necessary for all workouts. Definitely recommend for those who are starting to practice CrossFit - there are even fundamentals courses to improve and learn important movements used in the sport. Also recommend for those who already practice this modality - community is great and will help you achieve your goals.

Best Crossfit gym in Glasgow by far - from the moment you arrive you're made to feel so welcome which is so nice especially if you're just dropping in or new to it! Great box run by great people. I dropped in when visiting home and had a great workout with Andy and his team. He was super flexible with my tight schedule and was happy to work around me. Great community vibe! I dropped in whilst visiting family in Glasgow. I attend a small community box in Copenhagen and this place had a really similar vibe. I will be going back for sure! Plus there were 2 cute fluffy Corgis cheering you on!! So really that was the icing on top of the barbell for me!
