I had the pleasure of training at Everyday Athlete gym in Glasgow a few years ago while I was travelling. You wouldn’t have known I was from the other side of the world (Australia), as the owners and members were all so welcoming, it felt like I was instantly part of a community. All the coaches are experts, they have the best equipment and most importantly, quality coffee to get you going for those early morning sessions. Only downside is it’s such a long way from home, and I can’t go more often.

I've tried various different gyms and a little 'gym phobic' (if that's a thing) and none of them compare to EDA. It's the first time I've felt comfortable at a gym and not self conscious. All of the coaches and staff make you feel so welcome and make an effort to get to know you. I know it's a small thing but it goes a long way! The workouts push you but there are various levels within the work outs to suit all abilities. You always leave feeling chuffed with yourself as you always to do more than you think you can and the coaches are fantastic at encouraging you. It feels more like a P.T session than a big class that you feel like your not getting anything out of it. I also like that you get to know other members and 'were all in it together' atmosphere unlike most other gyms. It's great set up and struggling to find any negatives. Their smoothies are highlight aswell!

Gym is different to your typical monthly subscription in the larger franchise moulds. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you walk in. The coaches will make an effort to get to know their clients. This creates great comradery between members and coaches. Always a fantastic atmosphere whenever you go to classes or go for a quick workout. Hands down the best gym in Glasgow.

I came to EDA for the first time in 2018 for a PT session and it already felt like home! Same with a group session in 2019. And now that it's become my regular gym since 2021 I can't say enough good things to explain how great they are. They'll take you from whatever point you're in your fitness journey and will help you to give the best out of you every single day. Even if one day you're not feeling well and need to slow down, they'll be there to help. The small group classes make them easy for them to be able to assess you in an individual way, so you can improve your technique on different movements. And of course, laughing, banter and coffee or smoothies are always there to improve your day, even if it was a tough one (or to start it in the best way, if you go early in the morning!). I can't recommend the EDA enough, it's one of Glasgow's finest places :D (If I have to say something less positive, I wish there was better public transport access! But that's not up to them ;-) ).

This is no ordinary gym , the sense of community I’ve never felt before and I tried a lot of gyms before I came to EDA Other gyms feel soul less and boring . From the coaches who are extremely knowledgeable and very , very helpful and they all make a point to make every workout suitable for all. I started this gym 5 yrs ago and I’ve never looked back . From babies to dogs everyone’s made to feel comfortable and welcome . Having experienced different gyms within Glasgow this is the one that keeps me coming back. From the first step through the door on seeing the welcoming smiles of the gym staff to the great coaching team you know this is a special place. There's none of the usual gym atmosphere and you'll feel immediately at home whether participating in the group led programmes, doing your own thing on the crossfit floor or in the equipment room or even in the muay thai sessions. This is a gym not full of egos, but of people supporting each other on the fitness journey, and having a smile and laugh along the way.

Fantastic gym, every trainer shows great knowledge and enthusiasm. I have trained in many gyms over the last 20years and honestly can say you won’t find a better gym. I have made many friends and have got in the best shape of my life since joining this gym. I had a 3year break due to work and family life. I joined this gym when it opened nearly two years and two dress sizes ago. Before coming here and meeting the coaches, I’d never been able to maintain the motivation needed to consistently train and traditional gyms were pretty dull to me. At EDA you get coach planned and driven conditioning sessions (which are different every time), Thai boxing sessions, Yoga and lifting plans all provided as part of your membership but it’s not just because of the awesome workouts that I love it. It’s an inclusive place that makes everyone feel welcome and supported and I’ve made friends here. I would highly recommend it. You’ll come to get fit but you’ll stay for the banter!

As a man in his early 60s, I would thoroughly recommend this gym. Hours on treadmills and cross trainers are boring! This place actually makes exercise fun! The trainers are extremely knowledgeable, and always take the time to improve your technique. Strength training has been a neglected area in older adults up till now, but these guys make learning to use free weights not intimidating at all. Finally, the other gym members are lovely too and very supportive. Join nowyou won't regret it.

Oh my gosh. Went to Glasgow this past September. I trained with a group of wonderful ladies, amazing workout. I also did two personal training sessions with John Valbonesi and “T”. Both sessions were great and can’t wait to go back and train at the gym again. The coaches are AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and super friendly. Totally felt at home while in the gym. Would highly recommend this gym!

Best gym ever! All the coaches are knowledgeable, and welcoming. Any level of fitness you are, they will customize your workout. Nothing but encouragement if you are willing to work. Had two absolutely fantastic sessions while I was there in September. Our group session with all the coaches was beyond amazing. We worked hard, no holds barred. The pay off was the praise from the coaches post work out. I also had a private session with Coach Tommy. His form points for KBS were on point, along with warm up/ cool down for running. This is honesty one of my favorite places to be ... you will find no mirrors on the walls on intimidating weight machines, just friendly faces and brutal workouts, that trust me you do feel good after (though maybe not at the time!). But with the friends you make and the encouragement form the best trainers you will ever meet, you'll end up smiling though the sweat! You come to get fit, but it becomes a part of your lifestyle, for me having people that will call me out if I miss a session is such good motivation and new friends and lots of encouragement awaits! No class is the same which keeps it interesting, and I love doing Muay Thai classes as well as the S&C and weights. All the coaches are fantastic, they are always there to give you encouragement or push you when they know you could try a little harder, they are also great at giving alternatives if you have any issues or injuries. I was raving about how good this place and the people are so much that my mum came to try it out as well, she was worried that she wouldn't be able to keep up the pace as she has a few injuries but once she tried it she LOVED it and was giving me a run for my money! This place really is for everyone! I know this review is long, but its all true! BEST GYM EVER!

Best gym experience ever! I visited EDA for a group event in September and will be back in May for a personal training session. John Valbonesi and the whole EDA team are awesome at getting the most out of you. Whatever your fitness level EDA is the best bet for taking it to the next level. I had the pleasure of visiting EDA for a one-on-one training session while traveling in the UK and got Valbo’d. If you are curious as to what that means, you will just need to go to EDA to find out. Whilst I was there, I was able to correct my form on a few excercises. I know because all the right things hurt the next day. Additionally, I mentioned to John, my trainer, that my back had been bothering me from so many flights and handling luggage; he saw to it that I left the gym feeling much better. It’s well equipped, clean, and they are very welcoming. Their trainers seem to be well educated and experienced. They have a physio on staff (akin to Physical Therapist? in the US) which is a nice touch (we don’t have such in a typical US gym as far as I know). Certainly they love what they do and practice what they preach. They understand, are flexible and will adapt for various limitations. It’s a place that one who might otherwise feel uncomfortable going to a gym would want to go. No judgement. I understand they are a great gym for mother’s with newborns or infants. They also have programs for kids and an online memebership program as well. Hopefully, I will make it back to Glasgow again and take up another session or two at EDA while I am there.

Unfortunately, I only had two times the opportunity to train in the FDFA. A private hour with the coach John Valbonesi drove me to top performances and brought me the sore muscles of my life. An hour with many athletes from all over the world was super organized, fun and extremely exhausting. You could feel that the coaches are a good team and they love to pass on their passion for sport. Great studio, unfortunately too far away for regular training.

I did an amazing personal training session with Coach Valbo in August 2017! It was my first time ever having a personal training session and at a gym. I learned a lot and got to use equipment that I had never trained on (air fit , ski erg). He was great at encouraging to keep going and modeling the correct way of doing a particular exercise , etc. He was very patient with all and a great teacher. I also learned how to do box jumps for the first time and flip a tire. What an amazing day!! I was also there for the MPC peaker event in September 2018 and all the coaches were amazing . Directly with me at that time were Coaches Martin and Ashley . They were very good correcting my form and even gave additional weights and encouragement when needed too. The energy from all the coaches was amazing that day ! I highly recommend EDA and am looking forward to my next training session in 2018!

EDA was one of the highlights of my time on Glasgow. I do a lot of indoor cycling and barre at home, and was looking for a solid workout and help with my weight training, as well as getting to try out EDA. I had the opportunity to work out with John "Valbo" Valbonesi, and it wasn't just a great training session, it also kick started my weight training. I came home with assignments of deadlifts and burpees, and some practical tips that have helped me a ton. The equipment is really good, the trainers are all top-notch, and it is a serious gym with a low-key vibe. Can't wait to visit again.

Went with a large group for a private session. I've never been to a gym like EDA--one that is as serious about fitness (boxing ring, free weights, kettle bells, boxes for box jumps, rowers, airbikes, etc) as it is welcoming. The team behind EDA have created a unique vibe--one that is community-focussed and neighbourly and eshews all pretence to allow you to simply focus on yourself without any worry or self consciousness. Amazing. The espresso machine tucked in a corner with a guy who can pull god shots and an adorable resident dog only enhance the feel good, work hard vibe of the place. The coaches are stellar too, working you hard but making sure you don't get injured. Want to get fit, with proven results, and have a total blast while you're at it? Then run, don't walk, to EDA, and get your sweat on! You won't regret it.
