Overall it’s a great gym (for me). I like that it has one joint area for free weights, machines, cardio, etc. There’s also squash court which are in very good condition. There’s also basket ball court, a swimming pool and badminton courts but I haven’t used those so can’t say much. All available classes and facilities are included in the membership which is quite reasonable. Since it’s a university gym there’s a fair bit of people there all the time but you’ll be able to do anything you want without waiting outside peak times. The men’s locker room is big and clean.

Great facilities with a dedicated weights room plus all the cardio and strength machines you could think of and helpful friendly staff. Only complaint I could make is that it can often be very busy and you may struggles to get onto some of the more on demand stations.

Love my gym. They can be quite snobby. You just have to get in and forget about who is looking. They try to pay a lot of attention to us, not sure why. Specially if you have booked but don’t want to show them just because your phone is off. Please respect us!!!

Great Sports Centre

I go at least twice a week and I'm always able to use the machines that I want to. The staff are friendly and approachable, and are perfectly willing to show you how to work any pieces of equipment. I highly recommend booking the induction if you have never been to the gym before and are feeling any anxiety. The changing rooms are comfortable and roomy, so you never feel cramped. A positive gym experience that converted me into a regular gym-goer.

The room is always clean and there are enough machines and space to be able to train even when it is very crowded in the late afternoon. There is also a nice swimming pool with sauna and steam room, as well as many classes available. (Original) Superbe salle de sport toute neuve. Les profs sont à l'écoute et peuvent vous créer un planning sur demande. La salle est tout le temps propre et il y a suffisamment de machines et de place pour pouvoir s'entrainer même quand il y a beaucoup de monde en fin d'après-midi. Il y a aussi une belle piscine avec sauna et chambre à vapeur, ainsi que de nombreuses classes disponibles.

Pleasantly cool pool temperature (around 28 degrees Celsius?) and pleasantly cool air temperature (especially in the changing area). I had a lane to myself most of the time after 9am on each day I was there. All in all, it was perfect for vigorous sessions. The changing facilities are the best and most spacious I've experienced anywhere.

The place is newly built, so everything is still very clean and nice. It's really busy at the start of each semester, in a way that it becomes really difficult to reserve any court for sports. As it gets closer to the exam times, it becomes less busy. The best time for this gym is the summer time. Staff are helpful and nice. Good place to work out if you get student discount.

Great gym! My only con is they aren’t open earlier at the weekend but that’s only because I enjoy coming here so much 😂 sometimes it can be a little busy but again, it’s because it’s such a good gym.

Great gym. Lacks a few things like theres only one chest press machine, but theres plenty of bench press bars to use. It can get busy. When its not busy (like any gym) its great.

The basketball courts are ok. The floor seems to be good and the ball bounces well... It is not floor boards or hard cement. It is a good compound .. Easy on the knees and impact... Not seen squash courts. Swimming pool not been but looks good. Gym looks ok and reasonable machines and exercise tools. Not seen changing rooms. Prices are reasonable. It seems always clean and well looked after. Staff is helpful and curtious.

Very nice place, good spaces, nice working out machines. Worth to use it. Available Swimming pool, clases, coaches, badminton etc. The only issue is they have no mirrors, apart from the weight lifting area and you have to pay for the hair dryer

Astrid is the best. She noticed something was off in the HiiT class and rather than letting me leave in ignorance, she offered me some advice on what exercises I could do to correct some of my postures. She took time to show them to me and was very helpful.

Staff are super friendly, however the facilities are somewhat lackluster for those wanting to do free weights and weightlifting exercises. Only one universal cable machine and a limited dumbbell selection. They do have 5 weightlifting platforms though! Regulars are super friendly and a good sense of community is in about this gym.

Superb place. As a student it is really convenient. Well equiped gym with well maintained swimming pools, sauna and steam room. Those are the facilities i use regularly. The place is right in the middle of the campus. I can go and swim or hit the gym between two classes.

Great facility, and friendly stff. However, some parts of the facility, e.g sauna and steam room, are closed most of the time for maintenance. I dunno how long it takes to get them fixed ⌚. It seems there is something wrong with the sauna and steam room.

Great gym, good Sauna, good steam room. 25m lap pool. 10 power racks with platforms, dumbbells, calisthenics area, cardio equipment, cable machines. The pool+sauna is often closed for events which is annoying. Everything is new and clean.

A great gym with an excellent atmosphere. Top of the range facilities and equipment, with plently of space even in peak times. Excellent value for Strathclyde University Students with discounts for students from other Unis/Colleges. I also believe there are discounts for individuals who work in the NHS. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this gym. Excellent prices for external students too that are studying at colleges or other universities. A great place to de-stress, my sanctuary!! A wide variety of sports facilities under one roof.
