We had such a fun and thrilling experience. There was a variety of different rock faces we could climb, all varying in difficulty. Meg really made the experience with her positive and fun attitude, she really made us feel at ease and supported us when needed. Thank you for such a great experience! I would highly recommend!

Fantastic day climbing with Megan! Genuinely brilliant from start to finish for a family of novices. She was supportive, encouraging and kind and made us feel completely safe. Nothing was too much trouble and she was endlessly patient. We all had a brilliant time and achieved more than we could believe thanks to her skill and advice. 100% would recommend and will rebook!

Could not have asked for a better instructor for myself and my 9 year old son. Meg was incredible, the right mix of fun and safe. She encouraged us to push ourselves and I'm so glad she did. She was patient when Charlie struggled to come down the wall and when I said I couldn't go any further and in the end we both exceeded ourselves. The instruction has given me all the tools I will need to hopefully smash my competent climber at my local climbing wall. At the end of the session I felt so confident in roping and belaying. Thank you so much Meg and I'm looking forward to doing some outdoors instruction with you too!

My husband and I spent the day climbing with Meg at Symonds Yat and had a brilliant time! The routes were well planned for the mixed abilities of my husband (a regular boulderer) and me (a complete beginner!) And she provided just the right amount of encouragement but letting me tap out when I felt I had reached my limit! Communication was great before the session and we really appreciated the birthday gift and the fun game it provided! Overall Meg was fantastic! Knowledgeable, patient and just a lovely person to spend the day with 🙂

Booked for my partners birthday and we both had a great day! We had not been rock climbing before but were quickly picking it up thanks to all the guidance from Meg and Matt and being made very safe and secure. Would definitely recommend booking with Hereford Climbing!

Booked these guys last minute, they were really quick to respond and kindly squeezed us in. What a day we had, we were met by Meg and Matt, who were both welcoming, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. They had already prepared all of the climbing gear, so we were quick to get started. My wife and I were lucky enough to have one of the instructors to our selves, which Meg made it a lovely personal experience. We felt like we had control on the pace of the day and how long we would like to climb for. These two genuinely have a real passion for the sport and obviously enjoy instructing and making sure we had the best experience. Couldn't recommend them enough. We will be back with friends.

Such a great day of climbing with Matt and Meg. We loved all their patient encouragement to keep going and get up there! They set up some brilliant climbs and abseiling, with enough challenge for our group, but achievable with effort! Matt was fantastic with our daughters, it was their first time outdoor climbing. Matt was really positive and motivating. We all had a fantastic day and loved the whole day, it was great being able to take the day with Matt at our pace and not feel rushed by being in a big group. Great day out with Hereford climbing this week. We were a mixed ability family group. Two teenagers pushing the boundaries and two adults trying to keep up, one of whom had never climbed before. Everyone had a great time. Came away feeling worn out and proud of what we'd achieved. Friendly, expert instructors and really good value. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I booked this activity for our mini-moon, having done some indoor climbing previously. This is a whole other challenge, but Meg and Matt helped us get through the disco legs and moments of "what am I doing" to push ourselves and reach heights we haven't before. The whole experience was something we'll never forget - booking was easy, the setting in the Forest of Dean was incredible, and the guys were so knowledgeable you knew you were in safe hands. Meg particularly looked after us, and was flexible enough to change the difficulty or height to challenge us where needed, and good enough to read when we needed a little helping hand and actually wanted one. Perfect balance of challenge and support. These guys are genuinely awesome and we can't rate them highly enough - well worth the money for the personal experience and will definitely be going back.

Matt and Meg took our family out for an amazing day too roping and bouldering in the area. They were knowledgeable, fun, and patient. Really focused on bringing indoor climbers outdoors. I can not recommend them highly enough. Simply an amazing experience.

I wanted to arrange a fun outdoor experience for the children of our close friends during the half term break. Matt was absolutely fantastic in both how he interacted and engaged with the children but also in his professional approach to the whole day. Had a fantastic family day climbing with Matt above the river Wye. Even our 7 year old managed to get up and down all the climbs and she loved it. A great experience for them. Cant recommend Hereford Climbing enough.

Matt took me on my beginners climbing course today. I had a fantastic experience with matt. I thought matt was a very friendly guy with lots of knowledge and experience. We met Matt and Meg at Symonds Yat for a days climbing. My daughter and myself had a great day climbing and abseiling on some great routes. Very reasonably priced and we will definitely be using them again. Cant recommend them enough.

Really lovely atmosphere every tiime, I've climbed with Mat both indoors and outside on several occasions. He's very knowledgeable and tailors each session to your ability level, and to match the goals you want to achieve. I would definitely recommend Mat for both novices who want to learn how to climb, and competent climbers who want to try something new like climbing outside for the first time

I started climbing indoors and took part in the indoor climbing course, which gave me the knowledge and understanding of the basics of climbing and to use the climbing wall safely. I then took this knowledge outdoors with one of the outdoor taster days. Hereford Climbing have taught me everything I need to know and the instruction has been exceptional and good quality.
