Reviews of The Edge EPT
I have been using the Air Relax compression equipment, Red Light Therapy and the Sauna at Edge EPT to help with my recovery and pain management before having major knee surgery. I have been using the treatment as a recovery tool after sessions and on my rest days to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness as well as reducing pain and swelling in my knee. I have noticed a huge difference in my recovery time between sessions which is as a result helping me to perform at a higher intensity in my sessions due to reduced pain and muscle tightness.
Once I’ve had my knee surgery next month I will be looking to continue with the recovery sessions to support my recovery and help with pain management as I progress through my rehabilitation phases as I return to sport.
I couldn’t be more grateful for the help and support from Paul and Aimee especially over the last 18 months.
Went to see Paul around a month or so ago looking for help with a knee injury that was stopping me from doing my sport.
He fit me in on short notice and had a chat with me before creating a plan to help strengthen my knees and walked me through the whole programme.
He even took the time to contact the physio and surgeon who have also looked at my knee to get information from them.
I have since been doing the workout Paul has provided me with religiously for the last few weeks and have already notice a significant difference in the amount of pain I have and an increase in mobility in my bad knee.
This has meant that I can go back to my sport and continue to train already and I’m only a few weeks in.
Cannot recommend Paul enough, he is down to earth, genuine and really cares about getting you sorted out.
After suddenly getting back pain I was recommended Paul and The Edge EPT.
I have not used a gym for many years and Paul made me feel instantly welcome.
Within a few exercises Paul was able to discover the cause of my pain and give me exercises and stretches to improve and strength. These were exercise I could do at home and there was never any pressure to return to the gym however due to Paul and the gym itself I definitely will.
Paul clearly has in depth knowledge for injury, recovery, strength and exercise as well as being kind and supportive. I would highly recommend Paul and The Edge EPT.
I first visited the Edge back in 2017 when I was struggling with a lower back injury caused by poor technique in the gym. Prior to this, I had physiotherapy and numerous massages over a period of 9 months with no improvement, and became doubtful that I would ever be back training. However, after just four sessions with Paul over a period of around 8 weeks, my lower back pain had improved significantly and I was back in the gym lifting light weights.
After overcoming my injury, I’ve since had numerous sessions with Paul on an ad-hoc basis and I always feel a huge positive boost whenever I visit the Edge. Paul’s experience of working with professional athletes over many years is something that I’ve found extremely valuable. Not only has Paul helped me overcome an injury, I’ve also gained a greater understanding of various aspects of strength training, such as movement patterns, technique, nutrition and recovery.
More recently I’ve been using the new recovery facilities at the Edge and I’ve found them to be hugely beneficial for helping me to relax. Paul has also discussed a range of techniques to help me with managing stress, for example, using breathing patterns.
Overall, the support I’ve received from Paul and his team at the Edge has had a huge positive impact in many areas of my life.
I can’t thank Paul enough for everything he’s done for me over the years!
This is a review for Paul Hatton and his gym and the exceptional service I was provided!
I first met Paul In Oct with a very weak and unstable knee from an ACL injury. I had already done 6 months of rehabilitation with an NHS Physio and my knee was not improving. At this point I had fears I would never be able to play semi professional basketball again ever which was really affecting my mental health. I had worked very hard previous to meeting him yet when returned to sport I hurt myself again.
The first session with Paul he was very welcoming and thorough. After a quick assessment of some body weight exercises. He noticed my glutes were not firing with my hamstrings correctly and my adductors were very tight causing poor mechanics and a knee valgus. This was news to me and wasn't noticed by my physio after months. He also noticed I did not squeeze my quads at the top of my squat exercise. Which was why when my leg hyperextended during sport or walking it was weak and would buckle or twist.
After some very quick adjustments in my form, a program specific to me and a regular precise foam rolling routine. I started to see huge improvements in a matter of two weeks!! I remember at this time I was ecstatic and realised I was in GREAT hands!
Me and Paul continued to train together for around 5 months. I have to say he completely changed my life! And made my dream of being healthy again become a reality! The teaching did not stop in the first session and we continued to train every week or other week. performing intense weights, proprioception and conditioning sessions. With exercises I have never seen before, that ensured when returning to sport my knee was COMPLETELY stable and my muscles were constantly activating correctly when moving.
I had a lot of phycological fears of returning back to sport. Paul was very understanding and assured me through his training and advise I am more than capable and ready!
I am now back to complete health! Hand on my heart I could not have done this without Paul! February this year I went straight from Paul's gym back into a bball season and got great footage which has led to new better opportunities next season! I don't have an ACL yet do not even realise.
The process of an ACL rehabilitation is like a check off list. You have to complete the stages to move onto the next (crawl before you walk). It's a long process and requires commitment and Paul knew every step extremely well and could answer every question I had. He has rehabbed 100's of ACL injuries and has been doing so for over 20 years!
Paul mate you have been an absolute superb coach! And I thoroughly enjoyed every single session we had! Every one! I am now a regular returner of regular strength and conditioning sessions with Paul improving my power and speed for my sport. I will definitely stay in touch with Paul as his knowledge doesn't end with ACL rehabs. He has a vast range of knowledge for all fitness goals at ANY level!
Thank again mate and I look forward to next time!

I’ve completed a number of sessions with the new Red Light Therapy and Infrared Sauna which have resulted in huge improvements in pain, stiffness and fatigue which has enabled me to complete more of the group workouts.
Exceptional gym with terrific people, Paul’s knowledge and professionalism is second to none - highly recommended!
