To our opinion Bannatyne its absolutely best gym/health club in UK. Here is network of 80 or 100? of Bannatyne clubs in UK (+ they bought another network of health clubs) - so must be in some city/town near you (easy driving distance). Great place for relax, for whole family. Jacuzzi/spa zone is fantastic and made with big love! Very warm water in the pool! (in another clubs guests/clients very often complain that water is not warm enough). Comparing with another clubs in Europe its outstandind and exelent! (we visit Bannatyne club in Leeds)

a calming and healthy experience....well promoted well designed,well staffed and well managed.the manager came over and asked how things were a really positive and motivating chat occurred and I was left charmed and happier than previously..really good equipment and experts on hand...not pushy just reassuringly sane.esp a nice boxing dept..latest kit and open to all ...11/10 keep it up!

So we had birthday party there , Miss Berry and her staff were fantastic. Very kind with big smile all the time, be paiteint with children, friendly and without any stress. They were best in managing all of things . They are best in organising everything and their plan to make a hubby for children was great . I really so happy . They made for us good memories and all of our guests were so happy. Thanks a lot .you deserve to big thank you guys.

Great staff all-round, from the reception to the facility rooms (gym, pool .etc) they are very well mannered and greet you with a smile. Very clean and well kept place, equipment is modern and taken care of, just a great place to spend your morning health routine. They also have a kids pool which is seperate to the olympic pool, I take my daughter there every Friday and it's very cheap (£6 a month) to take her anytime.

Really great facility and atmosphere overall. The spa area is stand out in comparison to other gyms I’ve been and I’ve made a point of travelling around to take a look! Would be 5* but lacking in range of equipment so more experienced gym goers, specifically body builders need to improvise a lot. (no stair master and a very limited plate loaded range) the equipment they do have is well maintained and the classes are awesome. All round welcoming and good experience. Kids love the pool

Fantastic gym, and the childcare is very good. We joined during the summer holidays and my children loved attending with me. They had so much fun at club V while I worked out. All the staff at club are amazing with the children. I’ve had to leave with the days getting shorter and it being a longer commute but will definitely be back next summer. All the staff are very friendly. I also found it very good value for all of the facilities in comparison to David Lloyds which was the only other gym with a kids club.

They need to extend the opening hours, gym previously closed at 11pm when it was Virgin Active, it’s now 10 and even more limited on the weekends, makes it difficult to schedule time in around shift work patterns.

Great staff, lots of space. Closely following Covid-19 safety guidelines. Every piece of equipment is getting wiped down regularly. I always see cleaning staff hard at work whenever I'm there as well. Decent sized swimming pool, lots of equipment. Can't wait for classes to be back again!

This is a great gym. The gym itself has a really good range of equipment that is well maintained. The pool is great because it never gets too busy to be able to comfortably do lengths. The classes are fantastic and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It is a more expensive gym but is worth the extra.

Amazing pool, sauna and classes, gym floor is very modern but it's not exactly comfortable and welcoming. I'm not sure why but the vibe isn't great. Don't use this gym any more, I do recommend though.

Great gym, they act upon feedback, was a member for nearly 5 years. Recently had to cancel membership due to changes in my circumstances and this was no trouble at all.

Love Virgin. Everything you need, the music is good, young and older clientele, sauna and steam spa. Open till 11pm during the week. Till 9pm at weekends. Free classes for members. Good atmosphere in the place. Not too many posers.

A great gym with free parking facilities located in a retail / food / cinema complex nearby. The gym is a reasonable size, with a good selection of classes. Some of the equipment could do with an upgrade but the pool / spa facilities (including saunarium, sauna, steam room and horizontal jacuzzi loungers) more than compensate, being some of the best in the franchise.

My wife and my 4 month old daughter have recently joined. Really positive experience so far. We often take it in turns going to the gym/doing classes while the other one will look after our daughter in the cafe area which has tables and sofas to relax/catch up on work. I am particularly enjoying the yoga classes and the baby pool is perfect for my daughter.

This is more of a leisure centre, than a gym but it's a very decent leisure centre. Yes, they have a large gymnasium area (I'm talking mega), but the equipment there is designed for comers of all ages (so bear that in mind if you're looking for a place to train hard and gain muscle - because this isn't going to be especially conducive to this kind of training). I've been a member now for about 5 or 6 years. If you've got kids, this place is great, with it's own creche, and kids swimming pool. The sauna and and jacuzzi are pretty good too.. Although usually occupied by hairy, ogley, overweight men in their later years (just saying).

Great gym with a decent sized pool and sauna. It's nice and quiet most of the time and has everything you need to get in shape. The staff are nice and friendly which is a plus.

Big gym full of brand new equipment recently went through a major new refurbishment program and everything is state of the art. 25m 4ft deep swimming pool .. large spa area with saunas and steam room.

This gym has best spa area of any gym I've ever been to. Not only just a sauna but solarium (which is apparently a heathier way to sweat as it's lower temperature but you can stay in longer), steam room, and huge jacuzzi.

I won't lie, i love Virgin Active for the equipment and the pool alone (wait maybe also the spa, yes definitely the spa). However they aren't very helpful when it comes to discussing your contract. I would happy pay the price for the gym though, plus ample parking.

Great health club. Amazing equipment. During the day you'll find empty studio rooms where you can workout with some privacy. I would give 5 stars, except the floor in the studio room is always dirty during Pilates class as they don't clean in between classes.

I've been really struggling to find a good personal trainer and finally I met Hayley! She's amazing and has continued to push me. I'm more than on target for my weight loss and my diet thanks to her plan has improved so much. I don't feel like I'm on a diet nor does it feel like a chore to be healthy like it used to be. the gym is great but having Hayley has been a great help because she's shown me a variety of ways to train and always keeps me on my toes!

Stop wasting your time at other gyms where you always have to comprimise. This is the perfect place for cardio heavy weights swimming or just a chill in the sauna steam or the jakooooozi. A proper gym with the best staff you could ask for. The whole experience is so easy relaxing and enjoyable. I would train anywhere else. 120P A DAY. HOW CHEAP DO YOU WANT IT

what should be a relaxing experience is not. the pool is full of children. even though they have their own pool. There are clear guidelines for when kids can come in the pool. however this is not upheld by the staff. morning, noon, night you cant get a peaceful swim for the happy screaming of children. not impressed

I really enjoy going to this gym, particularly the Nova class (mixed pilates, yoga, and aerobics). The changing room has always been spotless when I'm in at the weekend and I never have to wait for a shower or hair dryer.

Great Heath club! One thing though...kick the disruptive swimmers out of the pool! They jump in from the spa area then proceed to piss around for approximetely 6 minutes (realizing they can't actually swim). It ruins all the serious swimmers' rythm! Last week I saw a guy in the pool pointlessly do backflips for 4 minutes and splashing/touching his friend?!?! Is it a pool or a YMCA?!
