I joined SMF nearly a year ago and it is one of the best things I have done for myself. I had never been one to go to the gym but I love going now. I have more energy, feel more body confident and feel a lot fitter than I have for years. The way I look at fitness and nutrition has changed for the better thanks to their Steve and Natasha’s advice, encouragement and support. I would definitely recommend joining this gym.

I joined September 2021 in hope to improve my physical fitness as well as improve my mental health. In the past 8 months I have continuously achieved and improved upon my goals and have been provided expert knowledge in terms of training and nutrition advice. Steve and Natasha adapt training to individuals needs and goals, and take external factors such as work and lifestyle into consideration. I highly recommend SMF to anyone looking to improve upon themselves, whatever their goals.

I had my free month trial in Nov/Dec and after that signed up as I found the sessions to be the balance between weights and cardio that I'd been looking for but not achieved at traditional gyms.
Steve and Natasha are super motivating, keep me on track and provide the encouragement. I "take my body to the gym" and they have made it change 😊💪👍🏻

I've been with SMF for 3 months now and I'm kicking myself for not making the change sooner. Steve and Natasha are fantastic - professional, supportive, encouraging and your biggest cheer leaders. I'm not only seeing results already in terms of weight loss and strength, my my mind set has changed and confidence has grown. If you're on the fence about making the change/joining the team at SMF, I say go for it. You won't regret it. However, with that said, if Steve tells you he's got a 'fun' workout for you, brace yourselves!

I joined Steve Marsden’s gym last October and have never looked back. I joined to lose weight but discovered training is much more than that. Every time I go I learn something new about the correct techniques of an exercise or how to use the equipment properly. I feel guided and appropriately challenged. I love chatting to the friendly PTs and members. Steve and Natasha are so attentive and go over and above to make sure my physical and mental health is looked after. I don’t just feel like a number there, it’s much more personal. I’d highly recommend Steve Marsden gym.

I joined the gym February this year, was a bit apprehensive about what to expect.
I wanted to improve my fitness and well being, instructors are supportive and non judgmental, you can work to your own abilities, there’s lots of advice available about nutrition and goals you can achieve.
Classes are small groups , friendly and welcoming.

I live around the corner from this gym and often walked past it and thought about joining but done nothing about it. I have been finding losing weight and toning more difficult since turning 40 and like many others, I have extra COVID pounds to try and lose. I decided to give the gym a try in Nov 2021 and signed up for a 30 day trial. Initially I thought I’d maybe stay for a couple of months until I got the techniques for lifting right then join another gym and do my own thing. However, I enjoy the sessions so much that I have decided to stay, I feel stronger and more confident as well as understanding more about nutrition and how it’s not the numbers on the scales that are the most important. The coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging, helping you get the most from the sessions whilst making sure you are safe in the way you are working out. I’m glad I joined and have recommended the gym to lots of friends who’d like to try small group PT.

I was never a gym person and throughout my life I have been overweight, but whenever I enrolled in a gym it was a constant battle of going there even for a month and hardly I would gym for a month and leave!! But after my pregnancy when I was the heaviest and I was looking for a gym that would give me an overall help, not only helping me change my physical appearance but provide me mental and nutritional support also and Steve Marsden gym has done that, I can't thank enough Steve and Natasha who are the best PT and the most positive people I know.. never ever thought will be going to a gym for more than eight month now and enjoying it as well.. SMF is a fantastic West Lothian based boutique gym. I joined to increase my energy, improve my sleep and overall to lose weight, tone up and increase my fitness. The trainers are amazing. The sessions are focused, fun and convenient. Over the years, I have wasted a lot of time, money and energy with no return; this gym is different, you get results. I was always scared of weights and intimidated by some of the equipment in larger gyms. This gym is totally non judgemental and regardless of your shape, size, fitness level, gym experience etc, you can work out (properly) with great trainers and an amazing, supportive set of local people. I'm so grateful I found this place 💓

I started with Steve Marsden Fitness in August after months of lockdown and not getting the chance to properly exercise. Until I joined I was not a fan of the gym, usually only doing classes. I love going to SMF. It’s a small boutique gym with very small amounts Of folks in the gym at one time. It’s the only gym I’ve ever stuck at and have been going for over the year. The classes are fab and a great mix of social / exercise. The classes really support beginners and more experience people. You can go at your own pace and learn all the techniques properly. You also get access to body scans, nutrition, and your their health advice plus an accountability group to keep you going. I love going to SMF.

From a couch potato to a gym fan! I work a 9-5 office job and needed to get some exercise, but after years of a regular gym membership (without using it), I knew I had to try a more effective way to start being active. I've been a member of SMF for approximately one year along with my partner.
We have learnt so much from Steve and Natasha who are very knowledgeable and professional and who inject fun into the work outs whilst maintaining a comprehensive and hard session.
I have also been given great nutritional/supplement advice and support from both and even when I've fallen off the wagon from a dietary perspective they have been non judgemental and supportive to get back on.

Had to do something to try & shift the weight from lockdown. Seen smf advertised & decided to give it a try . Booked a call with Steve who put me right at ease as I am not a very confident person. Booked a session for that week . totally bricking it but Natasha who was fantastic coached me through the 50 min session . Plenty flexibility with the gym from 6 in the morning till 9 at night . Great for working around your job .amazing place to train & the staff are brilliant . I would highly recommend SMF to anyone . 👍👍

I've been training with Steve for over 2 years now and he continues to be the best provider of personal training in Livingston in my opinion. I have trained in two different gyms with him, before the opening of Steve Marsden Fitness and in opening his own gym his training has been brought to a whole new level. The only gym of its kind in Livingston, it is a welcoming environment with no waiting time for equipment meaning you get the full time dedicated to your training (which makes you way more knackered by the end of the session lol). In addition, Steve supports his clients out with the gym which is just as important. Wouldn't train anywhere else!

Been working out with Steve for coming on 2 months now... I can honestly say, I never thought in a million years I’d ever look forward to working out but I absolutely LOVE it now! I started off doing 2 sessions a week and after realising just how much I enjoy it and how beneficial it is (not just to how I look but how I feel mentally as well!) I’ve decided to go up to 3 sessions. Steve’s really approachable and never once have I felt intimidated or embarrassed to ask for help from him.
