Reviews of CrossFit London

Joined almost 6 months ago as a complete beginner and haven't looked back since - love this place!
Started off with a free trial session, where they get an idea of your level of ability and show you around the box (which is a great setup with loads of space and equipment). Got good vibes straight away so signed up to a fundamentals class (about 3 hours) where they teach you correct form for the most common exercises. After the fundamentals class I signed up for a 3 sessions per week membership, which is decent value considering you're more or less getting personal training for the price.
The coaches are all absolutely brilliant - they really know their stuff inside-out and are obviously very passionate about what they do. They've got a keen eye for detail, and always give pointers on how to improve, whilst also giving plenty encouragement when the workouts get a bit gruelling (which is usually the case). Great community too, with occasional special events like summer barbecues or in-house competitions.
I've had normal gym memberships in the past but always found that a bit boring and repetitive. The programming at CFLDN has so much variety and is structured in cycles to build specific movements /skills/strength. I've been going about 3 for the last 6 months times a week and honestly don't think there's been a single session I haven't enjoyed.

To begin with, I would like to say that CFLDN is a great crossfit box.
They offer a variety of classes, such as Crossfit, Metcon, Olympic Weighlifting, and Powerlifting. The classes are well-structured with a good amount of stretching, wods, and skill development (which was the main reason why I switched from my previous crossfit box to CFLDN). You can really tell that they put a lot of effort into the programming and skill development (which I believe is extremely important in CF)
The community as well as the coaches are extremely nice, supportive, and welcoming to new members. It is also important to add that the coaches are really passionate and knowledgeable.

Following a free trial and completing the foundation course - this place is ACE. Luke and Nico are amazing teachers and I learned so much. This place is top-notch. Can’t wait to sign up.

Lovely staff!! Coaches helped with techniques. Amazing place for crossfit. Wish i was living in london to join their team🤍

Stopped by while in town for a few days for a Metcon class. Had a great time and workout and ended up coming twice. Coach Nick was really friendly and attentive and as is the rest of the staff. I’d highly recommend dropping by if you’re in town and want to sweat!

I moved to London a year and half ago. Moving to a new city can be daunting but tried several CF in East London to see in which one I felt better. If you are just visiting London or are looking for a new CF, here are the reasons why I decided to stay in CF London:
1. Diversity of classes: They offer Metcon classes (ones that leave you needing another shirt by the end of the sessions), CF Classes, Olympic Weightlifting (never tried them before as I was scared, but got introduced to them and now I am loving it) and Powerlifting.
2. Programming: Started CF a couple of months before moving to London. So it was my first time following a program and I have to say that CF London Head Coach does a very good job. In the last year following the program I have become a better athlete, week on week I have been getting stronger and better at the CF movements and I have been enjoying pushing myself every workout.
3. Coaches: Besides all the coaches being very knowledgeable they are very good coaches. All of the coaches are very friendly, talkative and inclusive making all of the current members and new members feel welcomed and taken care of.
4. Space: CFLondon is under a railway track and has an underground vibe that I love. It has several arches that make space for simultaneous classes and also Arches equipped for Olympic lifting, gymnastics and open gym
5. Community: CF is known for the community it creates and also being Spanish I am used to a very close and friendly atmosphere back home. Again CFLondon did not disappoint in this area. There are athletes of all levels, ages, gender, nationalities... you will feel integrated and part of the CFLondon community no matter where you come from and what you are looking for.
I cannot recommend enough CFLondon as an outsider who moved to London. London is a stressful and intense city but I can always rely on CFLondon to help me de-stress and find peace.

If I could give more stars, I would. As a pandemic potato, I never imagined that I would be able to hold a handstand, manage a pull up or feel genuinely excited to go to class each day! If you want a gym with skilled and dedicated coaches, with group programming that noticeably builds strength week by week, with a warm and supportive community that cheers for one another - or you just want to explore what new things your body is capable of and have FUN doing it - I recommend CrossFit London.

CFLDN is an amazing box. Brilliant, supportive and friendly coaches who have got me in the shape of my life. Plus, a varied community of people from all over the world. I love it and have enjoyed every moment of the past four years and I look forward to many more...

Great gym with lots of space and nice equipment. The coaches are really helpful in giving guidance and support with a lot of laughs alongside being serious.
I would 100% recommend checking this place out if you are local.
Also the coffee bar is great.

This place is awesome - the coaches are really talented and they take a genuine interest in your personal fitness needs. You can tell it’s more than a job for them; it’s their profession. It’s a really supportive and fun environment and I love having a choice of so many different classes (not just WODs). Also, if you want to get strong AF go see Alex Miller!

Prior to starting at CrossFit London (about a year ago) I hadn't touched a barbell. Since starting, I haven't looked back! The huge choice of classes (gymnastics to powerlifting, Olympic lifting to metabolic conditioning, classic WODs to mobility classes) and the choice of membership options means there's something for everyone. I love the fact that the class sizes are kept small, allowing the excellent and knowledgeable coaches to provide individualised feedback on your performance and where you can improve. The community is also great, inclusive and, in the healthiest possible way, competitive. I'm happy to continue as a member here and look forward to continuing to improve my overall fitness. Keep up the good work, CrossFit London!

I love CFLDN! The coaches are very knowledgeable and approachable, the facilities are superb, the programming is great (challenging but without trying to break you) and the community is so fun! I started casually 8 months ago and I now come obsessively almost every single day trying different classes, getting stronger, improving my technique and learning new skills! Going from not having touched a barbell before to where I am in terms of functional fitness/strength amazes me daily and I would not have done it without the coaches of CFLDN (can’t pick one, they are all amazing!)!! My only regret is that I did not start earlier 😊🤷🏻♀️
L. B.
I started training here almost a year ago, after years of not having touched a barbell. The CrossFit fundamentals classes (basically your first month) are run for small groups and with lighter workouts than the normal CrossFit WOD classes, which meant that there was time to really get proper instruction on technique. Transitioning to proper WODs was scary but all the coaches were great and supportive. What really hooked me though are the lifting classes - Oly lifting with a variety of coaches, and powerlifting/bodycomp with Alex. The nasty reviews below are absolutely fake, Alex is kind, super-knowledgeable, always happy to explain why we're doing what we're doing in his classes. The standard of programming is far beyond I would expect any group class to have, to a level that it's hard to find two people doing the same exercises during a class. This level of personalisation really is something else.
When I started my CrossFit journey, I found it challenging to make time for three workouts/week - now I'm doing more than double of that, plus I've been inspired to take up running again on top of that. I can't stress how much difference this community (because besides the coaches it's just full of excellent human beings training there) has made in my life. CFLDN is my happy place :)

I’ve been a member for 6 years and they’ve turned me from an obese gym-avoider to someone who can’t wait to get to a class! The coaches are super friendly and inclusive, encouraging and patient but know when to give you a firm nudge. It’s also a gorgeous space, with a huge range of classes and specialist coaches so you can work on your weaknesses. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Usually a denizen of CrossFit South Brooklyn in the United States, I enjoyed 10 days this past January working out at CrossFit London. It was, hands down, the best of the half dozen or so CF boxes I've visited in the past year in cities ranging from Granada and Rome to Madrid, Seville, and Tunis. Luke Brumer welcomed me warmly, as did Carolyn Logan, Matt Deaves, and Juan Ma, who even went the extra mile to make sure that a group of women going out for breakfast after class included me. Nico Salton, the head coach, was terrific: VERY knowledgeable, as well as encouraging, and insightful. I definitely learned a thing or two from his excellent feedback. As an added plus, Nico was not one to play favorites. I felt that he paid as much attention to me as a 50-something woman in her second year of CF as he did to anyone else, from the muscle guys to the marathoner women. That's what great CF is all about: giving everyone the chance to become the best they can be. Next time I'm in London, I'll be back. Rock on, CFL!

I have been training in CFLDN for some years now. Previously I wasn't on the unlimited membership until I tried powerlifting with Alex about a year ago. In general I like all the classes and coaches in this box, they are not only professional but friendly and knowledgable, but if there is a class I can't miss that is Powerlifting. In a year I have been able to see amazing progress with my strength and my lifts, I didn't know I could be this strong so I really recommend it! Ah! And "the nutty gorilla" smoothie in the cafe is the best!

I only started at CrossFit London 4 months ago and I’m amazed at my progress. Having never done Crossfit before I was nervous, but the fundamentals course taught me everything I needed to know to do the normal classes. A friendly and encouraging environment!

The coaches are what makes this place - Their dedication, support and technical expertise drive real progress and growth. Great facilities and super community. The coffee is pretty solid, especially required for the 7am class 🤓

I loooove it at CFLDN!! I've been training here for a year now, and it has become my happy place since then! Facilities are amazing, programming is challenging and fun, and with so much variety of classes, community is greeeeat, and the coaches are the most knowledgeable and supportive!! Can't recommend it enough!!

Dropped in to CrossFit London while on holiday in March for a CrossFit Open workout and I suspect that it was a lot more hectic than usual. Facilities were great and staff was welcoming. Can’t wait to come back for a regular WOD or Olympic lifting class when I’m back in London!

I really like to go to Crossfit London.
Amazing coach's, really professional, care about us.
Its nice too have so many choices for classes.
I really like classes with Alex for get more stronger and improve my technique.
But it's really good to go to so some Wod's or Metcon for the cardio

Teriffic CrossFit Box. Coaches are all experience, friendly and know what they're talking about. Classes are kept small so your coach can spend more 1:1 time with you.
Gym is well equipped, providing gymnastics, ropes classes, strongman classes alongside their CrossFit programme.
Have been coming here for over a year and would highly recommend it to anyone. Classes are scaled from absolute beginners all the way to elite and competition standard. There's something for everyone.
M. D.
Love CFL! Such an amazing community and everyone is super friendly and warm. Best post-wod smoothies in the café too. The training is so thorough and you always get a sense that the trainers genuinely care about your progress. <3

I dropped in to the weightlifting class for a taster session, and as was totally in awe of the training space at CrossFit London! The coach Steve was knowledgable and made the class really enjoyable. Will definitely be heading back there again to train!
D. B.
I love the community and coaching! Everyone is made to feel welcome, no matter what level or ability you’re at. The coaches are very high quality and professional, so you know you’re in good and safe hands. Highly recommended!

Loved the place! Really good energy around and the team encompasses all the good things that make up a welcoming gym. Was coached by Carolin and Alex. Passionate and professional! Thanks guys! :D
P. K.
Love this place! Challenging workouts and great instructors to bring the best in you. Also will highly recommend PT Mike who has been helping me get stronger and fitter in every single session !
L. M.
the coaching staff is amazing. classes are small and basically you get "the 121" experience. I will recommend their beginners program to any other crossfit gym out there. Brilliant
K. L.
Amazing CrossFit facility, helpful and knowledgeable coaches and a great atmosphere. Plenty of classes from powerlifting to gynmastics too. Reasonable membership deals compared to most in London.
S. R.
Nice new facilities, and a good variety of classes in addition to the regular CrossFit ones. What really makes it great though is the passion and expertise of the coaches.

I first passed through the doors of crossift in April with really low self esteem and at the end of my rope when it came to working out..I had tried everything from boxing to bikram yoga and after some research i found myself in the very capable hands of Andrew at crossfit London and my life hasn't been the same since...I am now crossfitter who can't get enough of it who is also about 26pounds lighter and for the first time in ages genuinely happy :-D. Everyone here is super friendly and i feel more like I'm part of a family rather than a gym. Crossfitt is way of life and this 'gym' is a great starting point in changing how you feel and what you're able to do with your body.
M. N.
Love CrossFit London, it is becoming my home away from home four mornings a week. Every coach is great and they pay attention to detail and the classes aren't so big that you are just a number.

Great weightlifting session! I got such great help and guidance on my lifts and left feeling so much more confident in my technique! Highly recommend

Fantastic facilities, awesome coaches and great members! It truly it a great environment to train in and you take away so much more than just a sweaty WOD!

If you live in London, or are a crossfitter just visiting the city (like me), I highly recommend this box! It's on the east side (well past the banking district) in a no-nonsense neighborhood...if you're thinking posh "London" glitz and glam on the high street, this ain't it. The "box" is actually an arc underneath an overhead rail line. Nestled among the gritty car mechanics and tyre shops, a large metal folding bay door slides open to reveal a steamy, high arched tunnel covered in floor mats. You desperately try to find a corner or crevice to stash your jacket because this place has just enough room to tear into a gut-busting workout and not a square-foot more. Sorry, no massage area, no sauna, no cardio area, no "spin class", and no juice-bar area where self-proclaimed "herbalists" and wannabee catalog models sell you £6 wheat grass shots. They seem to be running a great program at Crossfit London UK, and after the WOD one of the other crossfiters told me that they are expanding into the adjacent arc bay due to increased demand. Best of luck to this box!

LOVE THESE GUYS! Amazing coaches, varied and consistently demanding workouts, friendly members and the worlds best smoothies 🙌🏼
