Reviews of CrossFit Tufnell Park

Excellent box. I have been attending for over 2 years and it just keeps getting better. Top coaches that will help you improve. Fully equipped with all you need. Great community, awesome energy and you can feel the team solidarity.

Amazing gym, coaches, and people. The equipment is exactly what you'd want and the set up works well. Very welcoming to new members and acessible for all levels of fitness. The weightlifting classes in addition to CrossFit are fantastic. Location is great from a tube perspective and they have cycle racks in a protected area in front as well.

CrossFit Tufnell Park gym is a great place! Welcoming, professional, kind and happy instructors and staff. Classes are great and they really make sure it`s balanced well so you can make the most out of it. The gym is spacious and clean, great equipment too. The community is amazing.

Love this gym! It has everything you'd expect for a top-tier CrossFit gym, but a lot extra that I think is really special. There's a real sense of community and support for and from everyone who comes in no matter your fitness level or experience with CrossFit.

This is a great gym! Really is the best gym I've ever been to. The coaches are so nice, encouraging, professional and they really know their stuff. What makes it amazing is the sense of community spirit there and how everyone goes above and beyond to help you feel included and encouraged, so that working out together is really fun!

I moved to London earlier this year and was welcomed into this vibrant CrossFit community with open arms. Great facilities, awesome coaches, and thoughtful programming. Totally hits the mark for both experienced CrossFitters and people getting into functional fitness for the first time. Highly recommend CFTP!

Amazing gym - the coaches are super friendly, approachable, and knowledgable.
I had tried CrossFit prior to this at a gym in Manchester and found it kind of intimidating. Not so here. Everyone goes out of their way to welcome you and it’s such a supportive environment with other members cheering you on in the WODs and celebrating PBs.
It’s more expensive than a “normal” gym of course, but for the level of expertise and small group sizes, it’s worth every penny.
I recently moved house further away from the gym and have bought a bike specifically so I can keep coming! 11/10 recommend.

An amazing gym / Crossfit box located minutes away from Tufnell Park tube station. The coaching and the staff are extremely professional in encouraging atheletes to 'reach their potential' or at least be that little bit better than yesterday.
The box has a main floor that is equipped as best as some of the top Reebok gyms with rigs / weighlifting platforms, rings, rowers and ski ergs while the open gym section has ropes, GHDs and more rig space. You will definiately get your fitness needs in this facility.
If you are a weightlifter than you would be spoilt here as there are dedicated weighlitfting classes with both great atheltes (to observe) and coaches with years of experience. The bars / plates (and fractionals) and jerk box will service all your programming needs.
If you are keen on fitness or if nothing else, just to get more active then I highly recommend checking Crossfit Tufnell Park out.
The 'sense of community' will be overwheling as there will be too many friendly faces willing to help you to achieve your goal.

Hello and welcome to my review of Crossfit Tufnell Park. Please, pull up and chair, and we’ll get started.
Location: If a location could be described as “delicious” this would be it. I haven’t counted the steps from Tufnell Park station to the entrance, but if I was to guess, I’d say about 93 (I’m 5’10 if that helps).
There’s loads of on street parking around, or if you’re more of a “two wheels good, four wheels bad” kinda person then you can even park your bike up inside.
Space: In space no one can hear you scream, but here there’s loads of space to scream! (Though, disclaimer, from personal experience they generally ask you to stop after about the first 8-10 minutes of screeching).
But yeh, there’s loads of space, it’s blinking HUGE! Even more impressive when you take into account where it is (please see “Location” above).
Coaches and crew: If coaches and crew could be described as “delic… no wait… I’ve already done that one.
CFTP has a cracking team of coaches- full of great personalities and oodles of knowledge… and importantly they care too!
They also have specific coaches/ing for Olympic Weightlifting and Strength, as well as CrossFit. And this neatly leads us onto…
Classes: (seamless transition) Loads of options here! Weekdays there’s classes first thing, lunch time and evening. On the weekend, loads in the morning prior so to get your lunch time appetite up.
The classes vary and include CF, Oly, Gymnastics and Strength.
On top of this, there’s also Open Gym (membership depending, terms and conditions apply, see in store for details) where you can do your own thing- lift, WOD, stretch (lol) or even spend it getting some paid for PT with one of the aforementioned awesome coaches.
Equipment: There’s so much of it… honestly, you can’t lift it all at once there’s so much.
Great number of GOOD barbells - both men’s and women’s.
More hex dumbbells and kettlebells than you can shake a PVC pipe at.
PVC pipes… obviously.
A massive rig… ropes, bands, foam rollers, bikes, rowers… you’ve never had it so good.
Community: People say that Crossfit is a cult, but honestly, once you’ve watched the three and a half indoctrination video, and pledged the blood allegiance, you’ll see it’s just like any other gym.
But seriously, it’s a cracking group of people there and during the year there are non-CF related events, along with some silly/ fundraising comps, and also a brilliant and supportive crew when there’s bigger things happening too.
And if all else fails, there’s loads of pubs about, and you’ll be hard pushed to not find someone up for a drink (perhaps not on a weekday morning… but then you may have larger issues… just saying).
Conclusion: In summary, CFTP is awesome, you should come here.
I hope you found this informative and useful. I won’t be taking any questions.
Thank you.

Brilliant box, everyone is super friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. I’m loving this place, the gym has everything you need, the trainers are simply great and the workouts are just tough. Ignite Your Potential!

Highly recommend. Friendly and welcoming environment that is inclusive to all fitness levels. Classes are always fun and varied and there is an excellent open gym space to do your own training as well. Ana and the team at CFTP are always friendly and super helpful, creating a supportive environment where you are pushed but have fun doing it!

Supportive and constructive coaching with a friendly and welcoming community of members. All levels of fitness is accepted and accommodated for here and social distancing and cleanliness is incredible well maintained. Would encourage anyone who is considering having a go at CrossFit type, functional fitness training to pop in and have go. You won’t regret it!

Awesome crossfit gym in an extremely convenient location. I don't normally rate gyms, but I found this one to be very clean, airy and bright and unlike most gyms, does not smell! Being new to it all, Ana and her team were extremely helpful with my membership and so patient with having to explain the details of the memberships. Most importantly, Ana and the team at Engine Room really do care about my wellbeing and personal fitness goals which is why would recommend to anyone who wants to join.

An incredible CrossFit facility in North London, right next to Tufnell Park Underground Station which makes it very convenient.
The coaching, equipment, space and community are great. For me, what really differentiates this CrossFit box apart from other boxes I've trained at in North London is that there is a traditional gym attached to it, so you effectively have unlimited Open Gym included in the price!

I used to be a Kieser gym fanatic and when that went out of business I was two years without exercise. I had been on the list at the old version of this place (when it was Maximum Fitness) but never went. I got an email after Christmas about classes and signed up. I had no idea what to expect except that I might learn how to use free weights safely. Turns out this is CrossFit - a challenging, multifaceted way of achieving improvements in many aspects of fitness. These include strength, general fitness, training technique, flexibility, balance and so on. This is being the most wonderful challenge for me on every level, but importantly within an extremely supportive environment, where I'm stretched but where my safety and confidence are well looked after by staff and class members.
It has been a month as I write this and I'm beginning to appreciate how much there is to learn and also how big my potential for physical and mental improvement is.
Did I mention I'm 61? I'd encourage everyone with or without a native sport to have a go at this. Whether you are fabulously fit or totally unfit as I was, you'll find practical, everyday life much easier with the base of fitness you can achieve really quite quickly. I'm looking forward to a long association with Engine Room CrossFit. No association with them apart from being a very surprised and happy customer.

I have trained at many boxes over the years and this one has all the components you expect and look for, including an excellent team of coaches, a strong sense of community and spirit and great training times. Hopefully I will be back as a guest.

This box has its Cross Fit discipline plus a bonus room which has a older school feel. So if you wanted to use some great time tested gear you are good to go.I met two of the owners and it is no wonder the individuals training had such great comadarary within the box.
If you are looking to go to a solid no fuss, let's get it on box look no farther.

Knowledgeable & supportive coaches and staff. Grounded & friendly community of members. Fun & challenging structured sessions. Large (but not too large!) CF box. Convenient location just outside Tufnell Park Station. Definitely would recommend checking them out.
