Friendly staff and great equipment. I find the music quite unpleasant but appreciate that's subjective. Staff have been great at turning it down at least in the changing rooms so the sound doesn't go straight through to the sauna/steam room as it did the first time I visited. When the staff put their own music on it seems to be much better! Otherwise, just make sure to have decent headphones on hand. Definitely recommend Daniel for personal/ boxing training! 👍

I am a member of fitness first Highbury for years and I just started going to the one in Angel recently a few months ago, and I really love this place.
Specially the classes and the people that work in there is lovely starting from reception in particular and the instructors of the classes.
The only thing I miss in this club is the swimming pool we have in Highbury 😀
But it is a five stars gym for sure.
I Highly recommend the boxing classes on Monday evening and Wednesday afternoon, and the yoga one on Monday eve, and also the instructor is very lovely too, and body pump on Saturday morning.

This is a good gym in Angel, however lost its sense of community when the SMASH team left this gym since the pandemic has ended. The facilities are acceptable, but are often in need of repair. In general, the team there are friendly.

Good gym. The staff are great - friendly and helpful, and not too 'in your face' like some places.
My one issue is that the music can sometimes be really loud.
So loud that I have to turn the volume on my own music/podcasts up to maximum. In this day and age when everyone has their own music and headphones, do you need to play one type (that may not appeal to all members) so loudly? It stops everyone else listening to their own choice.
Tied in to that - it's also quite repetitive - you seem to hear the same tracks and ads everyday for a month

Great gym with lots of equipment, very clean plus nice members of staff. I particularly enjoy the SMASH classes twice a week, in addition to various circuit and grit classes. Ashley and Sam are a great inspiration, always planning amazing and structured classes. I don't have the feeling of boredom I usually have with classes (and I have been every week for about 10 months now!). I work hard at every classes as always different and include full body workout. Very grateful of these sessions as I don't think I would be doing as much on my own!

Its a great gym! The staff is very friendly and if you ever need help they take their time to deal with your concerns. The gym has a nice average space with all sorts of machines to use for workout. The classes are also very enjoyable! You must just make sure to book on early before classes are full.
I have been training with Ashley for a while who is a fantastic and awesome trainer and works specifically with you on your needs and what he thinks is best for you. It's hard but totally worth it!

I came to live in London for two months and I needed a great gym that would accommodate my fitness needs. I ended up signing up at Fitness First Angel and this gym far exceeded my expectations. The entire team was awesome, friendly, and very welcoming. I never do classes at my home gym back in the States and I decided to give them a try here at Fitness First. I regularly attended the “Shred” and “Smash” Classes. Reece really motivated me and pushed me in the Shred class and by the end of the two months I really felt a difference in my fitness levels and overall well-being. Sam was very welcoming and was full of encouragement during Smash class. I have to say that Reece and Sam are the reasons that I would enjoy going to this gym and instead of having to drag myself to the gym, I always looked forward to it, and I even went twice on some days. Although I had access to the other clubs , I never went because this club had excellent service, awesome personal trainers, and everything I needed. Overall I was very satisfied with this gym and would definitely recommend it. Next time I’m in London I will definitely be signing up at Fitness First Angel.

Just started going to this gym and I have to say it's the best I've been to. All the Staff are great and really friendly.
Loads of equipment so no need to wait around, but members are friendly enough and let you jump in and share.
Highly recommend the shred class with Jamie always finds a way to make it tough but fun at the same time.
The gym is always kept tidy. I always see the fitness team cleaning equipment which is great to see.

Great value for money, Fitness First Angel is well equipped with pretty much everything you need.
I have been training here for a couple of years now and my favourite part about this gym is the trainers and the staff. Jamie, Farley, James, Sam, Ugo! A really cool team. They're friendly and really motivating. There's no hiding here, if I miss a few days of training I get called out the next time I show face.
Classes are great, they have a really good variety to choose from. I especially enjoy Jamie's Shred class, Ciaran's Boxing class and Sam's Spin class.
Only thing I wish Fitness First had, are the Les Mills GRIT Classes!! Then my gym life would be complete.

Been to many gyms in the area but this is by far the best I have been to.
Great range of equipment and love that it has 2 squat racks it means you rarely have to wait to use it.
Gym has a great layout it's open so has a lot of space.
Members of staff are always friendly and you can always have a chat with them and ask them for help. It makes you want to come back to the gym.
Overall great gym and would definitely recommend to a friend.

A decent gym for the price you pay, and it has improved lately with new management (?) but the place has been a bit scruffy for months and the cleaning/standard of the changing rooms are not the best. Also the spinning room has poor ventilation and no sun-shading on very hot days. However, all in all a good gym for what you pay, and with a varied selection of group classes too.

Fitness first Angel has the best atmosphere i have ever experienced at a gym. The warm and bubbly reception team and all the staff there go out of their way to get to know you and help you achieve your goals. Jamie and Ashley especially have really motivated me since I joined- I love Shred and Boxing there too. Smash is another great class to do as it lifts you up and focuses on mindfulness and fitness; something so important and which I don't feel other gyms touch upon. Thanks team Angel for making the gym fun and not a chore:)

Having a wonderful time at Fitness First. The gym is excellent, never too busy, the personnel is always kind and available and all the tools and facilities are in great shape.
I'm doing personal training with Lion, and I couldn't recommend him enough: he's got a great attitude, always happy and motivating and he's moved by a genuine passion for PT. I'm also following his tips and advice on health and diet, and I can already see amazing results after just a couple of months! Trust this guy and you won't regret it!

Great club - would definitely highly recommend to a friend. The instructors here are fantastic and the club offers a good range of classes (including hot yoga!). Could definitely do with updating the showers and toilets facilities, or just more frequent cleaning during peak times.

Really good atmosphere at this gym. The classes are decent, a wide variety including hiit, boxing, spin and hot yoga. The PTs and Instructors are friendly and really good at getting you motivated. Gym includes sauna and steam room. Downsides are that it does get busy at peak hours and the gym floor equipment could really do with updating

This gym has great facilities and even better staff. I've been working with PT Sam for a number of months now, and through tailored work-outs and motivation I have hit a number of targets which I didn't think would be possible before I started. I highly recommend Sam as a PT, she has been absolutely brilliant in helping me reach my goals, with great support both in the gym and out, helping with innovative workouts, diet and motivation and always helps push you to the next level.
The classes in the gym are also great, the Smash Spin classes (ran by Sam and Ash) are brilliant and always give you a great workout and the motivation to go beyond your limits. Highly recommend!

Great gym with a good atmosphere. The gym floor is always tidy and the changing rooms are always nice and clean. The whole team at Angel are great and really motivate you in classes. Jamie and Ashley run a great Shred class and Sam is always really helpful with any PT questions.

I joined the gym almost 2 years ago because close to my office and I'm still very happy for the choice... very good facilities and excellent courses. I especially enjoyed the lessons of Boxing and Sparr but the real killer feature are the courses organised by the SMASH team (aka Ash & Sam): I'm now totally addicted... Spinning or Functional Fitness... every time a different workout but always super intense and satisfying. I also hope that they will provide again the Outdoor courses next spring!

One particular class I attend religiously and have benefited from tremendously, is a class called Smash - exclusive to this gym and run by two fabulous personal trainers who I couldn't recommend highly enough (ask for Sam or Ash). Overall, this Fitness First treats members like family and are always there to help out. They are a close-knit team of motivators and live by example. I truly enjoy working out with them.

I have been training with one of their personal trainers, Cameron, who is the best. He is friendly and energetic. He pushes me hard and makes me want to do better. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a PT.

I have been going to Fitness First in Angel for just over two years now, which is conveniently located near Angel station and has good facilities. Recently, I began training with Ash, who co-leads the SMASH classes (with Sam) which are exclusive to this gym. I would highly recommend training with Ash, as he is very positive, highly motivating, and takes in to account my personal goals. Even within a couple months of training, I can already feel stronger and healthier. The SMASH program he co-leads is also great, as there are 18 variations of the class which give you a full body work out and sets a high importance on mindfulness.

As someone with a history of disordered eating and exercise obsession, and now being plus size, the gym can be terrifying and that’s why I didn’t step foot in one for years. But the focus on strength in the classes at Fitness First Angel, rather than weight loss, makes it a much more enjoyable experience - my gym trips have actually become the highlight of my day!
I’ve been going to this gym consistently for over a year now and I have seen a vast improvement in my mental health. And that’s almost entirely down to the guys who work there. The whole team are so lovely and are a credit to the Fitness First group, but a special mention goes to Sam and Ashley for being literal rays of sunshine, and motivating everyone while being respectful of each individual’s limits. Their Smash classes which focus on the mind as well as the body are hands down the best classes I’ve ever done - they need to be in every gym!
I started PT sessions with Ashley this year too - something which I never thought I'd do! I was always intimidated by personal trainers, and imagined them shouting and screaming at me, but Ashley is miles from this. But he has kept me motivated, working hard and challenging myself every week. We also laugh together a lot too which makes all of the difficult workouts seem a little bit easier!

Ashley is by far the best spin instructor i've ever had. All gym teachers should teach like him!! Would recommend his classes to everyone. He's always motivating and encouraging. Also Sam is a great teacher with great songs. Love this gym, just wish they did pilates and barre classes, more variety of toning classes. Would love to see more classes and a better class system so you don't have to arrive 30 minutes before the class starts.

Incredibly friendly gym! In an environment that can so often be intimidating and overwhelming, the staff at Fitness First really go out of their way to make everyone feel not only comfortable, but empowered. This goes for all of the staff I've interacted with, but especially Sam and Ashley and their SMASH community. By far the most FUN and friendly classes I've ever taken!

Great value for money!
Classes are varied and especially love the new Shred class and boxing class! Very upbeat and motivating trainers. Also like that if the classes are full you usually have the option of the gym floor HIIT/Ab classes which don't require a card.

Great gym with lovely staff - would especially recommend Lion if you're looking for PT sessions. He pushes you to the best of your ability whilst ensuring you keep a positive mindset that will only motivate you to train harder. Not a bad gym, been a member here for a few years and it does the job. Good range of machines, though on a Monday evening you'll struggle to get on anything. Good free movement area and decent punching bags. Personal trainers here are ok, and will give you a good workout, unless you want to learn to box. Most of the trainers hold pads and have no idea how to do it. Get your boxing training elsewhere.

FF Angel is definitely my favourite Fitness First gym; it’s always clean, the facilities are great (sauna and steam room) and the staff are all super nice and welcoming (both at reception as well as the gym floor). The classes are all amazing, but in particular Saturday’s Body Combat (the instructor Pat is just fantastic) and a class they run called ‘Smash’ - you won’t find a work out this good anywhere else. The class is different every time which makes it super fun but most importantly, the instructors really make you push yourself every single time and it’s one of the classes I’ve really noticed the progress I’ve made in becoming both fitter and stronger. During the class, they ‘touch on’ mindfulness as well which is amazing and there’s even a 10 minute meditation session after the class for those interested. A ‘Must try’!!

Out of all the gyms I have been to this has been the best one for me in terms of location, the facilities and the staff - everyone there is bubbly and extremely helpful. I have trained at Fitness First for the last year. For most of my time there I have trained with Hannah. I would recommend her to anybody who is looking for a PT to push them but also have fun with. She made training fun but also got results which is important to me. I have moved gyms due to work commitments but will be back for a PT session with Hannah whenever I get a chance.

I've joined DW Fitness First Angel almost a year ago only because it was close to my place and affordable! But it proved to be a good decision: good classes, friendly people and nice space. I do wish it had more diverse classes during the week and weekend.
For about the same time Hannah L. has been training me 1x a week and it has been the best for my body and mental health. I will enter 2019 stronger and healthier .

Joined this gym in March of this year after trying out other gyms nearby (Virgin and Pure Gym) and haven't looked back.
Absolutely lovely staff from the receptionists to the PT's. Years of weight training had left me with bad habits and injuries so I decided to start doing a few classes and soon met Sam and Ashley who have quite simply completely transformed the way I approach exercise. Previous to meeting them I would despise even the thought of a HIIT class or spin class, now they're a weekly staple I actually look forward to.
Their Smash classes are incredible and there is a real sense of community with people of all sizes, shapes and fitness levels welcome. They also touch on the mindfulness side of things which works wonders for me when I go into my dark 'I can't push any harder, everything hurts and I want to give up' moments. I decided to start PT sessions with Ashley after a trial sesh and have continued to have a lot of fun learning new things and actually wanting to work out again (I had been seeing it as a chore for a while). He knows my limits but still pushes me to break them and in general is just a complete babe. Used personal trainers in the past who are just military-like and they're not for me. Ashley not only listens but also explains the reasoning behind each exercise, what it will improve etc and has helped me set realistic goals for next year.
If classes aren't you're thing I'd still recommend the place. It's only really busy at complete peak times (just before work and from 6-7.30ish), couple of extra weight benches would be handy but very rarely have I had to wait for any piece of equipment.

Fitness First = First Rate
Have been a member here for over 3 years now and can easily say that this is the best club I have visited. Although other FF clubs may have different facilities, the thing that sets this apart is the Staff. From the manager to the front desk, everyone is willing to help, is friendly to approach, and is actually engaged with your fitness. They actually make it a pleasure to attend and are willing to help out should you need it. They also make every effort to make sure that the club is clean and tidy, and that if anything is broken, it is repaired asap. So, to Ash, Jamie, James, Farley and Sam, thank you for all your efforts and keep up the great work - you're the Gold Standard!

I've been coming to Fitness First angel for over a year and I absolutely love it. The spin sessions with Sam are amazing. The music is always great and she is fantastic at motivating me!
I also have weekly PT sessions with Sam and she is incredible. She's helped me with my workouts, pushed me to do things I was never comfortable doing and constantly motivates me. She has also helped with my eating which was initially a downfall for me.
When I first joined the gym I was intimated to go onto the gym floor and stuck with the treadmill and cross trainer but now she has me doing classes and training by myself.

If you love the gym, hate the gym, are intimidated, demotivated, passionate about getting fitter and stronger, or even new to exercise - then this is absolutely the place for you!
Fitness First Angel is great. The classes are fun (especially SMASH and spin), the PTs are fantastic, knowledgeable and very friendly, and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. Sam and Ashley are just the most incredibly inspiring, motivational people ever - they’ve created a class (SMASH) that is designed to not only improve your physical well-being, but focusses on mindfulness too. This is something that should be done in every gym and I urge you to try it!
I’ve worked in Angel for the past two years and have dragged numerous very sceptical, un-enthusiastic colleagues to ‘bring a friend Friday’ and....they have all ended up joining!! So, in short - join this gym, you will have the BEST time!

The club is really conveniently located. The staff are friendly. Showers could do with updating, hence why I've only given it 4 stars.
The best thing about the club is SMASH. Sam and Ash who lead the classes are inspirational. The classes are so motivating and varied and always make me smile, despite being so hard.

The staff are amazing here, a true testiment. Really help you to push yourself a little more daily. Shred, Smash and Spin are great classes (I wish they had them more). The gym itself is pretty basic, i.e it has machines but no pool and sauna is small. However for the price and for classes, it's brilliant.

Amazing gym, which has all equipment I need. The most welcoming and warm atmosphere with a very friendly and cool team there! I especially liked personal training sessions with Sam (she is a star), who taught me an amazing routine for a workout alone! I absolutely love SHRED classes (Tue 6:30pm; Thur 6:00pm), which I have been attending for a month now, and already feel stronger and healthier, and more toned than before. The inspiring SHRED team - Jamie, Ashley and Julian - go hard on you and make sure everyone gets the most out of the class. I always leave the class uplifted. I also like that the routines vary each week and that they are well-balanced in terms of targeted areas (legs, gluts, core, arms, and shoulders), and that they are perfectly combined with HIIT, so it fits all kind of purposes - loosing weight, building strength and Improving cardio fitness. the class is also great fun. Each Thursday there is a fun competition where you can win a T-shirt! Great team, music and 45 minutes well spent! Go to Shred and meet and see Sam for a session 😉

Been coming to this gym since I moved here in September. I take the classes, Body Combat,Shred, Body Pump, Smash, and some of the short focused classes for abs. I try to come to the gym 3-4 times a week. Good instructors, staff and clean facilities. Through classes and better eating I have lost over a stone.

Convenient location and okay pricing. Great for classes, but if you'd prefer free weights or machines, then the floor space is limited depending on when you arrive. Don't expect to be able to use a bench if its after 6pm, and keep an eye out for the guy who thinks working out in torn jeans, snapback and a leather jacket is gym wear 🔧

I have been going to this gym for almost a year, I was signed up by a lovely guy named James, he convinced myself and my best friend to sign up and since then I never looked back. The team of reception from Farley to Robert and to anyone at reception are so welcoming and helpful with what you need find out or some advice on anything. All PT’s who do the classes are really helpful when comes to doing the technique I mean if wasn’t for Jamie, Ashley, Sam I don’t think I would have to confidence I do now when it comes to working out

DW Fitness First Angel is my local gym, 7 years ago when I joined it I have done it only because its behind the corner to me. I have to say that I am still very happy to be a member. Since June Cameron is training me 2 or 3 times a week and so far has been my best investment for my body and mental health. I am approaching 2019 with a different body, stronger, healthier and now I can wear my favorite t-shirt feeling conformable in it. Cameron plans my work outs also when I don't see him, he gives me suggestions on food and supplements. I can't wait for summer 2019 to show off my new body at the beach.

I think this gym has really improved since its refit. It feels larger and cleaner. In terms of weights, there will probably always be a squeeze to get equipment at busy times, but if I go at a quieter time of day, it's perfect. There is plenty of cardio equipment if that's your thing.
If they can keep it clean and tidy, I'll stay a happy customer.

We have been staying in London just for a two months reasearch stay and we were looking for a gym. At Fitness First we got excellent conditions and people were really nice and helpful. I liked the towel service. Especially the hot yoga classes are really great although they sometimes a bit crammed in the evenings. But all in all a very good experience.

I signed up mainly for the hot yoga classes but I have recently tried some of the high intensity gym floor classes too and they were challenging but fun. I have been a member of Fitness First Angel for a year now and I have very much enjoyed every minute of it. I was diagnosed with an Underactive thyroid the year prior and lost a lot of muscle mass which left me feeling incredibly weak. I joined the gym and met Hannah one of the personal trainers at the gym and started a fitness program with her. Hannah has been a fundamental help for me and my fitness journey. I look forward to every session I have with Hannah, she has set me up with routines that were personalised for my own goals and she helped me reach these plus more!!
I highly recommend this gym and if you can book in a session or more book in with Hannah!!

I have been a member of Fitness First for some time and just moved to Islington, so I have started using the Angel branch. The club is very clean and the staff are very friendly too. I mainly run and do weights but I have even tried hot yoga this week. I recommended it highly. I liked my previous gym but this one beats them all so far. I am not sure how it was before the refit but they are doing a good job indeed. Great facilities and very good service too.

This is a really great club & the reason I've really made a proper committment to my health this year is because of my personal trainer - Ash. He brings out the best in you, even when he has you doing the horrendous assault bike :) He really has a knack for bringing out the best in you & encouraging you to achieve. I've personally seen amazing results in myself as result of Ash's training programme. He has such good experience & really tailors his plan for each work out specifically for each person. I absolutely love training with Ash & would highly recommend him to everyone. If you want to leave the gym feeling strong & happy he's the PT to work with

Gym is best for cardio as they have loads of bikes and treadmills. Only some weights and not many leg or ab machines. There isn't a lot of space for floor work either. Otherwise changing rooms and showers are great.

Recently moved into the area and was looking around for a training facility. Honestly incredible unimpressed with the service provided at all the gyms around Angel. That was until I stepped foot into Fitness First Angel. The receptionist immediately introduced herself to me and shook my hand when I walked in (Rare to be greeted with a name and handshake these days). Hannah then proceeded to show me around and relate my needs to specific areas in the club itself. I was surprised when she mentioned only being in her position for 3 months, as she had an abundance of knowledge. A shame I’ll only be in the area 1 month, as I would have loved to train here long term. Thank-you again for the service.

Central London gym with an impressive array of classes on offer. Good atmosphere within the place, which offers a sauna and steam room.
Unfortunately, the yoga classes are very popular and sometimes involve showing up an hour before the class to get a place. The steam room and sauna could be hotter/more steamy, but for sub-£50 this is a good gym in central London.
A huge plus: this place lets you bring a friend every Friday at no cost at all!

From the outside the gym looks huge and entrend with great mood lighting but this is only for the spin class section where they have a fair number of bikes. The gym itself is downstairs and unfortunately for me I've been spoilt by other gyms in the area which offer either natural light or more spacious and roomier workout conditions. I was a member of fitness first in Australia for 10+ years. Upon moving to London I was happy to see a familiar gym near my work. But it’s been totally different to my previous gym experience.
Throughout my life I’ve struggled with my weight. Gym has been my vechicle to manage that with a lot of independent exercise - weight based, body strength, machines and the odd class. I would go in, try not to make eye contact with anyone else and then leave.
When I started at Angel I thought I’d give SMASH a go. I’d never heard of it before and within my first class I was hooked. The energy, commitment and passion that Sam and ash bring to the class is contagious.
Not only have they pushed me more than I would have done myself, they’ve made exercise fun and created an awesome community around them. I love the post session chats in the change room which usually involves something like “that was the hardest class yet!!!” With every class being different, you never know what to expect.
I’m really grateful to them both. They have changed how I value exercise and how I value myself. No longer is it a chore, or a must do for what I ate the day before. It’s something I look forward to and take pride in. All the classes end with mindfulness and during those 30 seconds I often get a rush of emotion. The idea of congratulating myself for a session well done, or recognising that I’m growing stronger every day is new to me. Sam and ash are not only motivating me physically but also strengthening my mental health and self care.
I’d never thought I’d have this sort of care, support and inspiration at a gym. They are two of a kind.

Staff are always very friendly here, the class options are great. I especially enjoy the spinning classes run by Sam. They are tough but she is so friendly and has such a cheery disposition that it helps you through the class! Changing room are always clean and lots of equipment to choose from!

I have been training at Fitness First Angel for just over 2 years and it meets my needs every time. I use the gym to fit more safe and quick riding in than I can on London roads. The equipment is good, staff are friendly, its a large gym with a good ratio of cardio and weight equipment / space. Peak times are peak (busy).

Good gym, helpful staff that knows me by name, good size venue and many classes. It's quite busy between 5:30-6:30, but I guess it's the same at any other gym. At the very worst, I've had to wait 5mins for a free treadmill and 5mins for for a bench in the weights area. To me, areas of improvement are: it needs a better ventilation system - being in the basement it can get stuffy and really hot.

It’s an okay gym. The place does need a renovation as it smells a bit funcky in some parts of the gym, but also there broken parts in there too. I used to use the hammermsith one, which was smaller but better. It had better lighting, a great atmosphere and it had handy digital clocks all over the place so you could time yourself.
The angel gym is okay, but defiantly needs a freshing up!

I started at Fitness First back in October 2017, with the mindset that I wanted to improve my fitness level. I tried a few of the classes on offer, and while all of them were pretty A-grade, none of them stood out to me like SMASH did. SMASH is a unique class offered at Angel FF and comprises a mash up of HITT exercises taught by the wonderful Sam and Ash. Aside from the classes which are incredibly well thought through and are different every time, Sam and Ash are such amazing mentors. The bring such optimism, creativity and dedication to each class and 6 months on, I look forward to my Mondays and Fridays more than I look forward to the weekend (which as a young Scottish gal who loves wine with friends, says a lot). They also incorporate mindfulness (meditation) into the class, which is something I think a lot of classes lack: they tend to usually focus on either an intense work outs or all mindfulness. A couple friends already joined FF after trying out SMASH, which is again testament to what the class brings to the club! Also worth checking out SHRED taught by Jamie - another great class. I've been to both the SMASH class and the spinning class and I found them simply amazing!! I personally recommend Sam&Ashley: those guys are really great! They're able to create classes full of good and strong exercises for your body while motivating you all the time...and you will totally have lots of fun! Absolutely love it!

I have been training with Cameron Orr for around six months. His style is relaxed and informal, while demanding the maximum effort from his clients.
During sessions he is attentive, considerate and knowledgeable. He has taken the trouble to really understand my personal goals, and has developed a varied, enjoyable and demanding training programme to suit me. As a result, I am stronger and fitter than previously. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a personal trainer.

Cameron Orr is a first class trainer who knows how to keep me motivated. He plans every session differently and it engages both my mind and body. I feel stronger both physically and mentally. Now it’s a gym that suits both women and men. Love the addition of the 3 boxing bags. The shred class at Fitness First Angel is great as it combines HITT with compound moves (I never do weights on my own in the gym, always cardio). This class has been a great way to incorporate weights into my excercise routine. Ashley, Jamie and the fitness team are really good at motivating those in the class to push harder. It's the one class I try never to miss as I already feel much fitter and more toned. Goodbye wine Thursday's, hello Shred.

I took a Shred class with Miranta today. What I liked most was how she paid close attention to how individuals were doing the exercises. As a gym it's pretty average. Users are friendly so you can "share" equipment, but you shouldn't need to... Changing rooms are a joke with the intense stale humidity and ridiculous constant fecal smell/mould/rot from showers.
Some of the staff are legitimately awesome but some (two girls at reception) are so unbelievably clueless it hurts. One even argued I wasn't allowed a friend in despite being emailed it was fine and there was a 'big drive to bring a friend' she didn't even know??!!!
It's convenient and it's cheap but fortunately I have it on a month rolling basis.
Worth mentioning the sales guys have been great/helpful on all communications.

Been a member of this gym for over a year, had absolutely no idea what I was doing, had no aims or goals, just wanted to work out.
Was approached by Sam, she wasnt trying to sell me lessons, just was being friendly and when your in an environment out of your comfort zone, that's what you need!
Finally decided to take up lesson with her and oh my gosh, she is amazing! Pushed me to my limit every session. 😩 She then pushed me to start going classes and that week shred was starting up with Ashley and Jamie and i must admit, it has to be the best classes to date! Every week, when I'm halfway into my plank I ask myself "why am I here?" But find myself back there every week, sometimes twice!
