Loved the decor and theme, the cocktail designs were a delight. I have to say I really liked the grappa (see photo of bottle) despite it being labelled ‘Japanese Whiskeys’ on the menu.
We had olives and almonds for snack, have to say that the almonds were good but olives were bit hit and miss for 70-80% of them.

Breakfast was included in our stay and it was a real treat, especially their selection of sweet treats. Looking forward to returning already

J. M.A Hotel is just a building, it’s the people that make your stay a memorable one for either the right or wrong reason. So I’m going to skip over the Holmes theme - I am a fan of Sir Arthur’s creation and you can see plenty of its style from photos and the place is clean and tidy as you might expect.
Check in was a breeze, and being early we left luggage with the porter and adjourned to the lounge for a glass of champagne and a snack. He found us shortly after, had taken our luggage to our room and provided us with keycards.
It was unfortunate that the first night was cold as the AC had failed. I have no issue with things going wrong - I always look to see how it’s handled when it does. When we were asked by the waiter how our stay was over breakfast, we mentioned the issue.
What followed was exemplary customer care. First the Maitre De apologised and said they would investigate, followed by multiple free drinks vouchers and the Hotel Manager. He had an engineer arranged to visit our rooms in our absence and a significant room discount all before we had finished our now complementary breakfast.
The Hotel manager actively sought us out in the hotel bar on our return, updated us on progress and we returned to a positively toasty room.
The rest of our stay was a delight, staff were genuinely interested in ensuring our stay was a pleasant one. Each one, friendly and attentive - from the porter at arrival, reception, waiters in the kitchen bar or “Kos” ( Apologies if the name is inaccurate ). He managed to rustle up a toasted ciabatta, olives, crisps and an ice bucket for champagne at midnight in the lounge despite it being the end of his shift, all with a pleasant chat.
The Holmes’s hotel was a fantastic place to stay, at a perfect location to explore London, made all the better by its friendly staff and excellent service. I look forward to coming back.
C. E.Lovely hotel, lots of hand sanitiser around. Good that there was an entrance to the hotel via the bar on Baker street so didn't have to keep walking around the back to the main hotel reception.
Rooms were lovely, bright and spacious. All the employees we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We were there for a wedding reception, can't remember the name of the lady that was bringing the drinks (wore glasses and from Milan), but she was really friendly - thanks!

B.We stayed 2 nights for a nearby wedding. 7 of us had dinner on the night before which was really good and the friendly team looked after us very well and then at short notice we asked if we could bring 23 of us back after the wedding reception was over and Carmine and his team were brilliant in both providing us the lounge area and responding to all our needs. Great service all round - we will definitely return to Holmes.

If you really want to spend a particular moment with your partner this is the place for you! Rooms and floors are based on Scherlock theme as well as restaurant.
We had a nice Heritage Deluxe that was really comfortable with both Nespresso machine and Kettle for tea/coffee.

H. E.We hosted our wedding reception on the roof terrace of the hotel and had an amazing experience. The area was lovely, the food delicious and most importantly Carmine and his team made us feel very special throughout. All the guests also commented on how fantastic it was, especially given the circumstances of arranging a wedding during a pandemic and have repeatedly mentioned how great the food, venue and staff were. The team really did do everything they could to make sure we were happy and we’re grateful for having stumbled across this gem.
We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone hosting an event.

M. G.Stayed in room 110 a 'King Suite'. Large room but the cleaning standard in this hotel is surprisingly low. The old carpet was outright gross and full of hairs and dust and clearly never gets properly hoovered. My feet kept getting dirty with huge clumps! 🤮
I asked them to clean the room (which came as a surprise because they don't daily clean your room by default anymore)... and it was unchanged. Sad :(

Whilst not aimed at children, ours found the themed displays and ornaments fascinating.
Our room was upgraded for free and although the additional fold-out bed in our studio apartment was not the most comfortable, the king size bed most certainly was.
The restaurant was spacious and allowed for relaxed social distancing. The staff serving breakfast were busy but provided incredibly courtious and friendly service. Food came quickly and was delicious. The teas and coffees served were also of a very high standard.
We would be delighted to stay again and hopefully get the chance to use the small gym which appeared to be well provisioned.

In the bar you can have excellent cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere, unfortunately the food menu is pretty basic and does not match expectations.

D. G.Beautiful hotel in an absolutely fantastic location. Staff was great and very attentive. However, they need to invest in some wall insulation. I could hear everything from the noises in the hallway to what was happening in the rooms on either side and above me. Made for some awkward listening experiences. The rooms are also quite small. They have done a nice job outfitting them, but the room I was in didn't have any space for clothes other than an extremely small closet. Perfect location for a weekend trip, but hard for an extended stay.
V. R.ust back from a fantastic short stay at the Holmes Hotel London with our family. We booked the Studio Suite which surpassed our expectations for a London hotel. The room was spacious, light and meticulously clean. Perfect space for a short stay like ours or even longer.
We upgraded our stay after booking with breakfast and this did not disappoint with beautiful options (impressed the hotel catered for glutenfree and understood the difference of allergy vs choice). Exceptional service both days making us all feel welcome.
Great location - easy access to the tube, main routes of attraction and local eateries surrounding the hotel. Very peaceful sleep with no outside noise, only small grumble would be the squeaky sofa bed however we're already thinking of booking again for a christmas shopping trip.
The hotel has a luxurious ambience and this is personified by the lovely team - thank you for looking after us all very well.
D. D.Very accommodating and fun themed hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful - lending us umbrellas for the London rain, calling taxis for us and giving recommendations.
Our family of 6 was able to very comfortably fit in one of the interconnecting rooms with two double beds and a sleeper sofa. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable.
Location of this hotel is very good if you aren’t choosing something more in the heart of the city (ie Soho or Westminster). Baker Street tube across the street and easy access via a nice walk or taxi ride to the shopping and theatre districts.
Finally, I cannot stress enough how wonderful the restaurant was. The staff was unbelievable friendly and great to our children. Breakfast was great and we looked forward to it everyday. We did not eat dinner here, but did stop after we returned for dessert and a port wine - also excellent.

E. S.Very nice hotel, clean and quiet. Very good location. Staff at the bar and restaurant is super professional and friendly. They make you feel like they're glad you're here. Not a 5 stars because the lady at checking was pretty rigid when we asked for our 16 year old girls to be on our floor. Being in the hospitality business, No should be a last resort answer, not the first and there is friendlier way to say no. I had to pay for an upgrade for the girls' room just so they could be on our floor (because they are minors). Otherwise, good hotel, recommended.
J. G.Visited this hotel a couple of years ago for a work party / murder mystery evening and it was alot of fun! The food was also very nice and the staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately I didn't have the best of nights sleep as the room was ridiculously hot and when opening the window I had the pleasure of finding a used condom on the outside window ledge. It looks like this hotel has since had a major refurbishment but be cautious.

R. S.Very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and on check in provided me with a cool refreshing fruit juice which was a nice touch. The check in process was fairly straightforward and I was even shown to my room on the 4th floor. After a quick relocation to another room (no power in the original room) I settled in and I was impressed with the quality of the room. Nice smart TV, clean spacious bed, plenty of wall power sockets and a very nice bathroom. The breakfast had a good selection but did get quite busy and diners chairs can get in the way of the food. Overall, a nice place which is convenient for Baker Street and tube lines.

The room was newly designed and very clean and breakfast is served restaurant-style and is top quality. Very accommodating for our two dogs providing beds and treats for them on arrival and always so pleased to see them. The breakfast was delicious and by far the best full English I’ve had in a hotel. J. R. M.I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Sherlock Holmes museum (three minute walk). The location is amazing: grocery stores, pubs, restaurants and Regent's Park are at your doorstep.
Our room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable (loved the linens). I really appreciated the selection of daily newspapers and lemon ice water in the reception area. The buffet breakfast offered hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit and a deli and pastry selection. But what really sets this hotel apart, the staff. Everyone from the front desk, concierge to housekeeping were friendly and professional.
(The only recommendations I would offer to the hotel, bedside lamps and hairdryers would be nice.)
All in all, great experience that exceeded my expectations. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat! Bonus: A movie theater is walking distance from this hotel (great for rainy days).

k. c.Holmes hotel is in a prime location, friendly staffs, convenient to commute and get grocery at night and our room was safe, quiet, and decorative.
We wish the room could have better air circulation and focus on room cleaning:
1) The hotel shampoo on our first night was covered with dust around the cap area looks like it's been there for a few weeks.
2) Our room was small with stuffy air after staying overnight especially after shower then leaving the bathroom door open just for a few minutes. Also The bathroom glassdoor was pretty but disfunctional. It leaks when showering, and we ended up having to use many more towels blocking around the glass door area and nearby the toilet.
3) One major down side for me getting more serious about their cleaniness was the house keeper somehow rinses the inner water boiler from the mini bar with soap and left it soapy and dried. We had to rinse the boiler multiple times before using it, which we didn't know and had our first soapy water boiled, and we rinsed with hot water multiple times after but still taste very soapy. We were feeling very down about the cleaness of this hotel.
Breakfast was decent and staffs are friendly.
It did not feel worth the price and experience to upgrade the room but still with a tiny room, and stay at this hotel for more than one night.
Overall, It is a pretty room but not comfortable and I can't recommend that Holmes hotel it’s a good clean hotel.
I would only recommend for its location and it is great for commute to work rather than for rest and relaxing.
D. S.The hotel staff are very nice and try to accommodate you as best as they can. The rooms are not as big as they are on pictures. We blocked a family room and it was small. I had to ask to transfer to another room which had 2 floors. It was my partners birthday so she wants impressed in the beginning. One thing you can definitely say is that if you get a nice room you will enjoy the stay there. And by the way every room is different. The breakfast was nice as well. We had it included with our reservation. Avery room room has Sherlock Holmes books for some late night reading. The rooms are clean and tidy. Hope the helps.

J. H.Checked in and room not ready, but was offered a complementary drink at the bar. Room was fine, although air-conditioning unit was whirring away outside the window. Rooms were very hot and air-conditioning didn't do much to alleviate this. Sauna and steam room are part of a small gym set-up, not up to temperature when we tried to use them, so abandoned this idea. Breakfast is good with a wide selection. Maybe we were unlucky, but still good value for central London.
N. G.Nice hotel with a good location. Room was a good size and comfortable. A few things that could be improved. One was the level of cleaning by the housekeeping staff. We were there for 6 nights and it seemed the only thing they focused on was doing the bed. The night tables and console were never cleaned and started to collect dust. Also the shower over flowed a few times because of slow draining and gaps in the shower doors. Over all we had a good experience however I would definitely recommend a look at the housekeeping staffs daily practices.
1.The experience was excellent. I stayed here for the Christmas Holidays. The rooms where comfortable, clean and cozy and we where happy about it. The staff was very polite and they were always willing to help us in any way they could. The location was awesome. Baker street is a central place with a lot of cafe restaurants with public transport and the well known underground station baker street. We had a wonderful vacation and we will remember them always.
A. H.Fabulous experience. A birthday treat from my daughter. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The room was perfect. The loss of star was due to the fact my daughter had a couple of issues with her room. The heating did not work and there were problems with the tv. They did offer to move her but did not have a similar type available.

T. M.Staff very polite and hospitable and has an excellent 24 hour gym. The staff were so obliging and gave us a choice of a few rooms. The rooms are well appointed with walk-in showers wifi and flat screen TV. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to London.

One of the 4 rooms we had smelt of smoke - the hotel did offer to change our room however! Food there was nice, especially the breakfast.

Other than that, great location, very friendly staff and the recent makeover has been done very well indeed.
R. J.Bus stop out front and the Baker Street underground station roughly a block away, getting to and from the hotel was no problem. I arrived several hours before checkout because they do offer to hold your luggage until check in time, but I was offered, and accepted, an upgrade to a studio suite which was available already, so I was able to check in to the room right away.
The front desk staff helped me print out a tour voucher I needed, and when I mentioned it was my birthday I came back to find 2 gourmet cupcakes and a birthday card signed by all the staff, so my opinion of the staff could not be any higher.
In summary, great location, great staff, and great rooms.
R. H.Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes London - stay in April 2019
I did choose the Park Plaza based on being a Raddisson gold member and the perfect location to explore inner London by tube and cab. Next station a 3 minute walk away, Baker Street Station - very central.
We arrived quite early, did already enjoy the neat houses arround the hotel and got an early checking even before 12:00 the welcome concept with a desk and chairs is as welcoming as the concierge and the reception staff. While I often feel very well and welcomed checking in, this is a warm welcome to mention.
This continued with very friendly staff and a very helpfull and caretaking concierge.
The style is a bit different. I would call it a bit artsy and cosy, very nice.
Room was in excellent state, cleanness as well as technically.
Based on our full plan, we could not give breakfast, restaurant or bar a chance.
However, the rooms looked very inviting, as well.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, very nice location to get around.

S. W. H.My husband and I are just back from a weekend at Holmes hotel and what a surprisingly amazing stay we had!
It was a very last minute booking when we found out we needed to be in London over the weekend as part of our IVF treatment we are currently undergoing.
I have to say we were bowled over by the service and how wonderful the staff were. Every single person we met from front desk, front door and restaurant treated us with such warmth and happiness! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the food delicious - esp the breakfast and the interior design throughout the hotel is beautiful!
But the best thing of all was how well our two dogs, Oscar and Rudi were treated. Their very own dog beds, treats on arrival and all the staff were so happy to have them around. If you are a dog owner travelling with your furry friends - this is hotel is perfect!
We loved it so much we are rebooking again for all four of us next weekend as it’s the perfect base for us right now to feel as relaxed and at home as possible - everything feels so personable and nothing too much trouble.

L. M.Friendly staff, had a family sized room with the sofa bed pulled out. When the sofa bed is down there is literally no room to walk around it, so room size is ok, but dont plan on spending anytime inside it if you have to use the extra bed. Small posh gym, and decent restaurant.
S. O.Recently beautifully refurbished, losing none of its charm, handy for Oxford street and the park. This is our favourite hotel in London not least because of the friendly greeting and excellent customer service from all the staff and so lovely to see familiar faces amongst them. Can not recommend highly enough.
T. M.Value is good considering the vicinity that you are in. Hosted friends in the bar that evening and the service was very good. Breakfast was plentiful and Costa had our ordered and chosen eggs waiting the minute we rose to get our cooked buffet. I strongly recommend you find someplace else to stay in London.

The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and I could connect my phone to the TV and watch my own content. The reception team were great and were always there to make sure we are comfortable and happy. Breakfast has a great selection of a-la-carte items and our favorite was the french toast. The area is probably the best in London and we highly reccomend it.

Good and friendly service at reception. Rooms feel slightly dated though my bathroom seemed to have been given a facelift. Beds very comfortable. Noise levels were a key negative including noise from other rooms as well as being able to hear showers and toilets from rooms above. This is the main negative for me. Breakfast was good, selection more limited than other Park Plazas in London and breakfast room more cramped for space. I can imagine things getting challenging and peak times. Overall an OK hotel but would rate Park Plaza hotels in Waterloo, County Hall and Westminster higher especially when rates are similar. The hotel does have a gym and steam room but didn't use the facilities so can't comment.

P. K.Stayed 1 night in room 220. The room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately the windows rattled whenever there was a breeze. It was possible to move the window pane about a centimeter with a finger. This has to be a regular problem and difficult to understand why it has not been rectified in the past. Having had a poor nights sleep we complained in the morning. We were offered a free coffee, well I guess we needed the caffeine to keep awake!!! A poor response to a genuine problem. Premier Inn next time.

The room however suffered from a lack of soundproofing, and in the morning we could here everything from the room above, which was a shame. The location was brilliant within a short walking distance of Madame Tussaud's which we visited and Baker Street Underground. Extremely convenient to the underground. It's expensive to stay here.

The sandwiches were lovely even though we were actually short of what we were supposed to get as we should have had four choices of sandwiches and only got three, it said a choice of desserts on there menu and we got a slither of chocolate cake and I mean a slither! And two small pieces of other cakes a red velvet and a Victoria sponge sponge! The scones were dry and stodgy we could only eat 1 .No cookies or anything like the photo and no fresh fruit and ice cream not a strawberry in sight. If you look at picture advertised and what we got it's not good ! If we had had to pay it would gave been £20.90 each!! This is the worst if the five afternoon teas I have had this summer!!!
