I can not recommend this place enough! It's the best (toughest) training while being a lot of fun! AND you get to hit stuff ;-) Rupert is just the best and every session is well planned and all the trainers will give you a great workout and help you improve your technique. The banter is a big plus and I always leave with a smile (although exhausted)! Three million stars for PoB!

Quality, professionalism, fun and suffering (I meant great training!), if you like sports but get bored in a gym come try Power of Boxing's classes!
You will meet Rupert, who is an incredible person, kind, attentive, professional and trustworthy.
Him and the other coaches are patient and understanding; they are always ready to help and encourage but also know how to push you beyond your limits, where you can surpass yourself.
With them you will learn a lot in little time.
I encourage anyone thinking about trying PoB to come, even if you don't know anyone, from the first day you feel welcomed! The atmosphere at Power of Boxing is amazing: and truth is you train much better with such an environment.
Also love the variety of exercises and schedules.
Again, do not think about twice it if you want to try something new, this is your place.

Simply fantastic! The trainers are so friendly but still provide such an excellent and varied workout. The price is also incredible & affordable. Cannot recommend this place enough. Absolute Gem of a place. Great trainers, great venue and most of all motivates you to keep going even when you feel like giving up- went with no experience of boxing previously and slowly building my stamina/strength up- making a huge difference to my fitness. I’ve lived in London for over a decade, tried dozens of different exercise classes, and this is hands down the best of the lot. Really positive and inclusive environment, solid mix of cardio and strength workouts, run by a great bunch of guys who know how to push you to your limits (and some!). I really could not recommend this place – and the coaches – highly enough. Give it a go!

I must admit - I'm not a 'gym person' and initially I wouldn't have considered myself a 'boxer'... But I do love fitness, goal setting, training, and positive, progressive environments under the watchful eye of experienced trainers. I am thrilled to have discovered Power of Boxing and was a convert from my very first class. An intense, varied workout that offers something for everyone and supported by amazing people in an exceptionally positive environment - that gives back to the community..! It would be fair to say this is one of my favourite things to do in London! I've seen my body transform - more toning, greater definition and more energy. I'd recommend this class to ANYONE looking for an all-round workout. Don't be intimidated - just do it and you won't regret it!!

Love this class and can't get enough! Great all round workout, especially for arms and core - but the best part is the pad work in the ring with the coaches (who are some of the nicest people you will meet!). Genuine boxing experience that really pushes you, whilst being super fun - highly recommended to beginners, gymmers, class-goers and all.

I love working out with Power of Boxing! Not only does it offer us an intense, authentic boxing session, but it also gives us an opportunity to support the centres they serve and help them carry through their mission (Fitzroy Lodge and Carney's Community). So not only do you feel good after an intense session, but you're also doing some good too. All the coaches are hardworking and inspirational and they motivate you to go beyond your limits. Everytime I finish a session it gives me an all-around good feeling inside and out.

After ten years of a variety of Personal Trainers, Gyms, BMF, HIT classes etc, these are by far the best all body fitness sessions I've done. Friendly staff, very high work out rate, female and male mix, warm up and warm down. If you're looking for a high intensity and friendly training session, this is for you. Great for weight loss and toning.

I'm way overdue in writing this. I've been going here for almost a year now. The workouts are pretty killer but are a great mix of strength and cardio. They are always switching things up though so it never gets boring. Although, the two main different workouts are the boxing style and the bootcamp style, with boxing focusing on cardio/endurance and bootcamp focused more on strength/conditioning. You quickly recover and always leave with a feeling of positive satisfaction.
The atmosphere is totally welcoming, and each and every class has a range of total beginners to more advanced athletes. If you're new to boxing, Rupert will take a few minutes one on one and show you the basics so that you will feel comfortable throughout the rest of the class.
If you need any more convincing, just know that all the coaches are great, hardworking and all-round decent people who have put their heart and soul into this place. This is the most important part in my opinion. They really are what make the gym great. Motivation is the key difference maker in anybody's workout goals and routine, and I'd have to say that they do a very good job of that through the connection they make with us.
I'd absolutely recommend giving the gym a shot. If you're not into boxing, don't let the name of the gym scare you, all of the class workouts incorporate a very basic level of boxing that does NOT AT ALL require you to have any experience.
So get in there, stick it out for a few workouts, and I promise you won't regret it.

Wow! What a work out - I love it! Not a dry shirt in the house after a session at Power of Boxing. Getting in the ring one on one with the trainers with their passion and knowledgable technical advice puts the classes streaks ahead of the wannabe 'high street' boxing studios. If you want to be pushed to your limits and learn or fine tune your boxing skills I can't recommend it highly enough.

This is one of the best classes ... and I do a lot of classes! It's the real deal and you leave drenched in sweat and feeling amazing. Surprisingly the hour is great fun and the trainers keep you motivated. I feel like I am becoming a proper boxer (in my dreams) but they keep on trying. If there is one class to do a week - this definitely is the one I make sure not to miss!

For me this is the best place in London to get fit in an inclusive and friendly environment and make friends whilst doing so! I had heard about this venture and thought it was only for people with an active interest to enter the ring. Power of Boxing, however, caters for all-comers and is easily the most satisfying workout I have undertaken. If you want to be pushed to your limits and beyond, this workout is for you. They make you sweat, ache and swear - and it's absolutely amazing! I've done other boxing classes, but theses are a whole different level. The trainers not only keep you motivated, but take the time to individually help with your technique, the classes are well thought out and have a good pace to them. Go! A fantastic class in an authentic location. Love it!! The morning classes in Battersea attract the post school run / late start to work type boxers. Nobody cares if you can't do it. But there are different levels of ability and no judging. The evening classes are full of seriously good looking men and women where everyone loves their work out. I will definitely be doing it again. Fantastic and v good value too.

This is the best work-out you can dream of. It's brutal when you haven't done it for a while, but you are left highly satisfied after the hour long session. The instructors are superb, incredibly patient with me as a total non-boxer (!), always lending a hand with technique, and offering endless encouragement.

Utterly addictive and insanely good fitness - ideal for a healthy body AND mind! I don't know of any form of exercise that trains the entire body and the brain as well as boxing does - heart and lung busting effort, shoulder and leg burning intensity, mental focus and muscle memory firing your reflexes, there is nothing quite like it! Mark, Simon and Grant at The Fitzroy (and the other trainers) push you to your limit in every aspect, all with smiles on their faces and in a fun, friendly and safe environment - all the trainers and other "boxers" help you to enjoy your progress while you also rapidly get both physically fitter and mentally sharper too!
I can't thank the guys at The Fitzroy enough for all their time and effort, I'm immensely impressed by them and by PoB for all of their charitable initiatives too - boxing training is incredible stress relief, I know how much it has helped me over the years and I have no doubt that they will continue to make massive differences in people's lives for years to come.
