Steve tailors all training plans and sessions to your personal needs. He has alot of knowledge and most importantly takes into account what is achievable in people's busy lives. Steve set a marathon training plan for me which which was great. I dont know alot about the technical aspects of running so he was able to include everything I would need to realistically be able to run my best marathon, all with injury prevention techniques and some motivational social media posts. He regularly keeps in contact with his clients to ask them how their progress is going also. What a fab running coach!

I felt I wasn't getting enough from my training due to a busy schedule so I contacted Steve to write me a plan that would work around my lifestyle. He made it work for me and focused on quality of training rather than just mileage. This has really helped me and I'm in the best running form of my life having completed a 37 mile Ultra last autumn, and helped me set PB's in my shorter distance running too. Steve offers a really personalised plan to suit your lifestyle and is really approachable if you have any questions regarding your plan and nutrition! Would highly recommend Steve.

I needed a training plan for the Manchester Marathon, so I got in touch with Steve. He quickly drew up a plan, which has helped me with my training ever since. Steve joined me for one of my longer runs; showing me a new route that I’ve run a few times since then. I’ve known Steve for some time through my running club, and got him to create a marathon training plan for my first marathon last year, crafted around my life plans and whatnot. Through the training, he was there to give the odd bit of advice and encouragement, which I very much appreciated.
But more importantly, following his training plan helped me unlock my potential and boost my self-confidence with running a bit after a year of lockdown; I ran regularly throughout 2020 and early 2021 but didn’t do much speed work, and like many, I had also put on a bit of weight. Using the plan, I managed to finish my first marathon in under 4 hours, which I’m very pleased with. I also inadvertently got a half marathon PB during training and a 5K PB a few weeks after my marathon, which I attribute to the whole experience.
In short, if you’re training for a particular distance for the first time, or if you want to achieve a particular goal with a certain race, I’d definitely recommend getting a plan from Steve.

Steve comes highly recommended! He provided me with a training plan for two marathons I had planned for May 2022, and even re-arranged it for me when one of them got cancelled. His plan was fully tailored for me following a phone call, where he provided helpful recommendations in a way that was really considerate of my other committments. The plan is phenomenally well-detailed (right down to workout recommendations or even when to get a massage and what pace to hit), he explained every part and was happy to answer any questions I had. As someone who used to make my own plans or use free ones online, I cannot recommend getting a tailor made one from Steve enough! Following it has been a huge motivational boost, it has ensured I keep injury free and accountable to myself without the usual issue of trying to work out what run to fit in when. Steve is a warm and encouraging coach who'd be a great help to any runner, novice and advanced alike!

After having made the decision to do a marathon, the next thing to do was to think about training for it.
Being part of a running club I had run many 10ks and half marathons, I therefore wasn’t too phased about the jump up to 26 miles. I soon realised it isn’t an easy feat and requires real effort and a proper training plan. Steve created this for me, starting from my base of half marathon distance and slowly working my way up. The plan was easy to stick to, and as life inevitably gets in the way, Steve adapted it as I went along. Steve was also there when I needed him for advice at any time. When it came closer to race time, Steve gave me dietary tips too.
All the hard work and advice came together on race day and I achieved 3:42. I was really pleased with this and grateful to Steve for all his efforts in helping me along the way.
