I have trained with Ali for the last 3 months. And also previously 9 years ago. The gym is clean and positive environment to train and has top of the range equipment. I train in the group session offered and one to one. Ali is always professional, supportive and also an expert in his field.
Session have been tailored for my person fitness journey and this is what brought me to Ali. I am seeing results not only physically but most importantly mentally. I feel this is important to Ali too. He has supported me with meal plans and dietary suggestions for me to gain the most from my training and also to make those all important lifestyle changes. Ali is dedicated to support his clients and this shines through with his positive mental attitude and the support he offers throughout training.

I started with Ali in October, on a recharge programme. Whilst I did shop around for the right fit for me, Ali certainly knows his stuff and advises not just on workouts but eating right too.
He gives you 100% with very tailored sessions, that suit you and your limitations or abilities in each session. Ali doesn’t give you a cut and paste workout session, it’s all geared to you and your end results. A fitter, healthier and stronger person.

Have been training with Ali for 6 months now following surgery and chemotherapy. Due to the above I needed someone who understood the limitations I faced and that my progress would have to be slow and steady. Ali is that guy! Ali is a fabulous trainer offering a simple, convenient, friendly and tailored training service. The gym studio Ali has created is an excellent place to train, it’s comfortable, has clean and modern equipment and is a brilliant place to train. Being able to park on site within a couple metres of the studio is also fantastic.
As a very amateur gym user I have found Ali’s guidance, knowledge and support to be of the absolute highest standard. He trains to reach your goals but importantly makes you aware of how each exercise can help you. Ali is a patient and confident trainer who is a pleasure to be trained by.
The sessions offered by Ali are at very convenient times meaning group training sessions can fit around any schedule, this works perfectly for my 9-5.
In summary Ali is an excellent trainer, the studio is very good and the overall service provided is outstanding.

My first six weeks with Ali at Plymouth Health and Fitness have been brilliant and I've enjoyed every second of my training there. Ali is such a friendly guy with so much knowledge and time for his clients, you really feel like you are getting a very personalised and specific training plan for you.
As well as showing you what to do, he shows you how to do it so you know you are getting the most of each workout - which changes each session so you are always advancing and learning new things.
I decided long before the end of my first six weeks that I would be continuing with Ali (even despite the restrictions of a national lockdown) and I can't recommend him enough.

I have just finished the 8 week Recharge Programme with Ali, I saw his advertisement via social media and after looking further into it, I saw I had colleagues that already being trained by Ali; in the world of ever moving shift work; if you have one or more from your team that are consistent and seeing results then that is enough to ask for more information!
I have done 6 week challenges in the past which I cannot fault and really enjoyed my HIIT classes pre pandemic; however injury and health took a turn and I needed someone who understood that my goal wasn't just to get quick results physically; it was more about able to do daily tasks pain free by building up muscle lost as well as bringing the weight back down from the Isolation Inches!! This has been done with having consistency and repetition in each session with Ali and allowing areas continue to heal where needed.
Ali spoke to me in a way that gave me a new perspective on diet; Some trainers I have come across in the past can just tell you what most grown up adults who has tried most diets know, limiting calories and moving more; but by acknowledging that I knew this and just giving me extra tips and tools meant I didn't try and "cheat" as I have done on restrictive diets before.
During the Recharge Programme you document your food intake in as real time as possible; which shows Ali's commitment to his clients as I wouldn't want my WhatsApp going off all times of the day, but this tactic works and kept me accountable, if not questioning my cooking skills time to time!
All in all it has been a great start to get me back to goals with a 20lb loss, and inches off in all areas in 8 weeks this over a Christmas period too!
Highly recommend a friendly coach building a friendly studio!

I've had PT sessions here for 2 months with Ali and loving it! .He is a friendly, down to earth guy. It's a private studio with up to date equipment. Every work out tailored to each individual. Flexible for busy lifestyles. I have built up more confidence and strength during this time. Would 100% recommend if you are looking for a relaxed, friendly and professional place to work out.

Trained with Ali for 6 months now and he has completely changed my way of thinking about Training, my diet and life choices in general. His knowledge of different exercises is second to none. I've been to many Gyms over the last 15yrs, used all manner of equipment. But he has shown me different techniques to hit the muscle differently that i have never been taught before. The private Gym makes it so easy to train and Ali really puts you at ease. It has great new up-to-date equipment. He's always watching your form so he can correct you if necessary to minimise injuries. And tailors your training to your personal needs. Keeps you on the straight and narrow with constant encouragement, always at the end of the phone for a chat if you need a pep talk too. Cannot rate Ali at Plymouth Health and Fitness enough. Previously if you could name a diet or fitness fad, I had tried it! Some of it worked short term but I never got the results I wanted for long. I have worked with Ali for a few months now and he has really changed my whole outlook on fitness and nutrition. He has gone at my pace and really made a programme to fit me. We have looked at not just getting great results but maintaining them. He is always there to offer advice and support daily and lets me eat ice cream! Also the private studio is great if you are self conscious in a gym like I was. I honestly cannot recommend Ali and PHF enough!

I've been training one to one with Ali for over 6 months. My progress has been well planned and I've been coached expertly. The private environment is perfect if like me you don't like waiting for equipment in conveyor belt gyms. Ali is on hand to give great advice even when not at the gym, dietary advice, extra training advice if gym sessions are missed etc. The gym is stocked with all the great equipment you would expect and there's plenty of space to use it well. The timings of my sessions are a mix of both late evening and early mornings which suits me but also has never been a problem with Ali who has been there waiting for me to arrive.
So, if you want a friendly, private, encouraged, well planned fitness program then Plymouth Health and Fitness is definitely the gym to attend.

I’ve been training at Plymouth Health and Fitness since the 1st week of July.
Having always been mindful of trying to maintain a healthy weight and sustain a reasonable level of fitness I had come to a point where I knew I needed some direction and someone with a bit of expertise to nudge me in the right direction as I went from large commercial gym to the next one and never felt like I could achieve what I wanted to if I had remained a member in one of the aforementioned generic commercial gyms.
I had always worked hard and put myself through the mill in my previous exercise/gym sessions but for all the graft and endeavour was not seeing physical or visible changes to my fitness/body shape.
In the near 6 months I’ve trained at PHF I’ve learnt so much and under the coaching and encouragement from Ali he’s improved me ten fold.
He listens to what you want to achieve at the very beginning of your journey with him and builds solid foundations at the correct speed tailored to each individuals natural ability and currents physical state, for example won’t make you do ridiculous amounts
To impress new clients and beast them into firstly physical exhaustion where your body can’t cope with the shock to the system and harder recovery most likely leading to cancellations of future sessions.
His whole approach to my training is second to none and I plan to train at PHF for many years to come.
