Facilities are good and have the standard equipment. Also its not like the other commercial gyms where your having to rush to let someone use the equipment. Peaceful and concentrated workouts can happen here.
Love the boxing bag and calf raise machine.
Downside: Lack of free parking

It's a nice gym, nice staff, good quality equipment, not the busiest compared to commercial gyms, but for only two squat racks, one adjustable , you need patience on chest day to do a good bench. Needs more equipment. 1-3pm is always the golden time during the week because it's quite empty. Overall, a neutral experience.

For the size of Reading as a town I was surprised on my first visit to this gym that it was so small. Also very dark in dingy - although the building has scaffolding outside so I guess that’s restricting the light. I saw quite a few out of order signs on equipment. The changing rooms were odd, and also not very clean. I’m gonna try the one in Woodley next time. The one in Newbury is amazing, and I guess I was expecting the Reading one to be even better.

Great gym, they have all the equipment you really would need, but some of the weights are definetly old and outdated but do the job.

A sad experience. After trying to work out once restrictitions were lifted. One personal trainer approach me to complete the MOT that is coming for free in your membership, and another day free of personal trainer too. Unfortunately the person was horrible to me, with her comments, you could see that she was judging me and making comments like, you should be stronger and fit with the job that you do…. Anyways I gave her another opportunity and she almost killed me in 15 minutes, she did not plan the session at all as she said she will, and she put me too much weight. She almost injured me, the next week I couldn’t even walk properly, I never feel that kind of pain. I stopped going to the gym, I sent the complain to the manager, which he answer me and told me that this person left the gym and was no longer with them, and they were sorry about my experience and they will give me a free month. Unfortunately I move to another gym, but I guess that at least they are compassionate and listen to you. The gym is good, specially in the morning that is less people. A bit pricey but it’s what it is.

Well equipped, clean, all exercise stations well apart, well run and looked after. 24 hour access - once all of the local building works are complete it will look a lot better from the outside.

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness Reading for over 3 years and by far this is the best gym in Reading. The free weights area is spacious with a great selection of weights and they also have nice variety of machines. They offer a range of different classes which are suitable for beginners and advanced members. The staff is friendly & professional and I would like to say a special thank you to Zaria who clearly loves her job and is always happy to help and motivate you when needed.

Nice classes, clean environment, and helpful coaches. A bit busy off work time but I always get the equipments I need. Shower rooms always available : )
I have personal classes with Lana. She is friendly and came from a professional background.
