Reviews of Holly Hill Leisure Centre
F. O.Great place! Lovely woodland walk, with lots of places for a picnic. Although slightly steep in some areas, it's good for all abilities and ages. There are easier routes to choose, if you prefer. It takes approximately an hour or so to stroll around, but you don't have to do the whole route. Great for dogs, but they do have to be kept on leads. Parking is free and to there's an ice cream kiosk and a great playpark, just across the road at the leisure centre.
M. “. L.We joined the swimming monthly membership and it is one of the better one that we have joined over the past with a few different venue. Definitely newer facility and the pool is 25m which is decent size compared to some clubs' pool. Although the design of the access to the lady or men changing room is not convenience and no handy cap shower in the common changing room.
R. D.A well set up leisure centre, pool and sauna rooms are a nice addition. Plenty of gym equipment and space and bike room is also a great asset however, I think there needs to be more staff on gym floor throughout the day as weight plates and equipment is never sorted. I have walked around for minutes a few times trying to find certain plates. Not a big deal but just more of an inconvenience

P. H.We really enjoy the under 5 swimming our only issue is the temperature of the changing rooms. I'm sure they have air conditioning blowing as you are trying to change the children.

S. R.The staff are all really friendly and helpful and those going to the gym are of all fitness levels but I feel "equal" to all of them if that makes sense?! I don't walk in and feel intimidated and I am not a fit person (working in it though 😂😂) Not sure what will happen when restrictions eventually lift but I don't think that will be June 2021 as hoped anyway...

C. C.App is a nightmare. If you dare cancel a class without a follow up phone call you get charged. Having paid up front for a platinum membership very disappointed.
Staff are friendly but not always aware of information. No social distancing, people seem to think Covid is left at the door. Very few wear a mask to enter the building, can't do this anywhere else!!!

E. R.I just joined the gym. I mainly joined for classes but unfortunately they are all booked up at the times I can go every single week. On the plus side I cant praise Danielle enough. She is a fantastic personal trainer, really motivating and encouraging. You can tell she loves her job and I'd recommend sessions with her to anyone. I genuinely look forward to my next one and each time it's something different. Thank you so much Danielle!
B.So I had a fairly dim view of everyone active and didn't expect much from this one. But it's cheaper than most gyms so gave it a go. Mind was blown. Spacious, light and airy gym and group studios with plenty of equipment all clean and working. There's even separate changing for dry and swim. Not tried the pool yet but looks clean and I'm looking forward to jumping in. Great range of classes and PTs that actually take an interest in you and make you feel at home regardless of your level.

Swimming open to all, but do check timetables as often closed for private lessons.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, and plenty of free parking available.
d.Holly Hill leisure centre has 2 decent size pools (1 25m and a children's pool) a well kitted out fitness suite with free weights and lots of cardio machines and workout studios. Also has a great outdoor play park along side it.
+ modern facilities and well thought out layout.

j. b.Been a member here for a while now. It is a relatively new and modern facility. The gym is large and open, with new equipment. Pool and changing facilities are better than most too. The only let down would be the cleanliness of the changing rooms, which at times has not been great.
H. W.Think there should be a 'slow lane swim option' during the day and not just early morning or 9pm in the evening. Theres fast & medium...why not slow?

S. R.The leisure centre is great the staff are mostly friendly but DONT go between 3 and 5 unless you want to be in a musically video or some kids selfie. The kids from Brookfield are allowed in there and they don't exactly work out. Shame really because it would have been 5 stars if it hadn't been for that

C. I.Great leisure centre by WHY would you build a new centre without a viewing gallery when your kids are swimming. Also the spin room and gym air con cannot handle it when it gets hot. It just gets hotter!
M. C.Good facilities, good range of classes and always friendly staff. Never had a bad experience there (being going list 4/5 months), heated flooring in the changing rooms are also a nice touch.
