I love my PT sessions with Matt at Ludus fitness! The gym is intimate, friendly & really welcoming. Matt is an amazing PT, he’s knowledgeable & encouraging, structuring our sessions around my goals & the exercises I enjoy, as well as throwing new ones into the mix. He keeps it varied & challenging and I leave each session buzzing, feeling I’ve achieved a bit more every time. I honestly can’t put into words how much I’m benefiting from my training- both physically and mentally. I’m feeling (& looking!) stronger, fitter, happier & all round more positive! I would recommend Matt & Ludus fitness to absolutely anyone no matter what their fitness levels or goals. It’s without doubt the best way to invest in yourself!

I’ve been using Matt as my PT for just over two months and I’ve loved it. I’ve become much stronger and fitter and actually enjoy working out now. I can definitely see a big change in my abilities and I’ve become much more confident in the gym actually knowing what I’m doing and knowing what areas to focus on. Matt always keeps me motivated whether I’m in a session with him or at the gym on my own as he gives me work out plans to keep me focused during the week. Couldn’t recommend him enough whether you want to work on cardio, strength or just to tone up.

I came here as a gym newbie 4 months ago, starting with PT sessions with Andy and now happy going in to work out myself as well as sessions with Andy. I can’t recommend Ludus enough for anyone of any ability. Really good equipment and there’s constantly more arriving, the team really know their stuff and are always on hand to answer any questions or help you get set up for a particular exercise. Highly recommend the gym facilities, and highly recommend the personal training on offer by the team. Extremely good value for the amount of experience and expertise the guys have to give, and they show a genuine interest in making sure you get the best results from your time there.

I reluctantly joined Ludus Fitness because my wife made me. She had been coming for about a year and was loving it (despite always saying she hated gyms and training, preferring to play sports instead) and seeing some great results. I’m nearly 40 and didn’t think I was in bad shape however after just 6 months with Andy at Ludus the changes I have seen in myself have really surpassed any and all expectations I had. Andy is great to work with, he is really encouraging and takes the time to explain the science behind the training. He is sneaky though so make sure you keep count of your reps and don’t think for a second battle ropes are fun, they’re not….they’re evil. That being said I am very grateful for the work he has put in with me and I can’t recommend Ludus Fitness enough, perfect for beginners like me who are put off by massive gyms and could do with a point in the right direction. 10/10

After having my twins last year I lost confidence in the gym and wanted a bit of support to gain strength and improve my fitness. I started working with Andy A in January and not only have I seen great improvements, I've also really enjoyed his relaxed training style and the friendly environment at ludus 😊

It’s a great little gym, very friendly staff. I go about 1 to 2 times week for classes and personal training sessions. The people here are very accommodating if you’re looking for help in your fitness needs, in addition the people there can provide individual workouts programs alongside your personal training. Although you do need to put in the time and effort if you do ending up deciding to have a personal trainer. It’s a great place if your a beginner or full time gym buff looking for another gym to go, or that’s closer to where you live. It’s small but has character. I would definitely recommended to try out, especially if live close by.

Joined the gym with the need to strengthen in a balanced way with particular attention to a long term weak knee which had left me with a significant bias to one side and very noticeable difference. Looked around the local area and liked Andy’s attitude to training so gave the gym a try. What an excellent choice. I wanted balanced strength. Other trainers had struggled with getting their heads round a significant weakness down one side needing a lot of unilateral work and non-standard training programmes. Not a problem here at all. Just took it in their stride. Bits that mark this gym head and shoulders above others 1. Commercial grade, high quality equipment. A lot of thought has gone into what kit and why 2. Trainers have a superb level of skill and ability to teach 3. Private gym with 1 to 1 training 4. Excellent attention to detail and technique whilst pushing up the weight in an appropriate way, making sure you progress in the direction you want quickly. 5. Friendly and accessible whilst being serious about training It’s hard work sometimes but I’m thoroughly enjoying it and am proud of my progress. It’s fun….

The staff are very friendly and supportive. Always happy to help and answer any questions. I’ve always been self conscious when going in to gyms which has made it difficult for me to achieve my goals. The guys at Ludus have created an environment that completely removes that feeling and I have been able to achieve so much, in such a short period of time. I joined Ludus Fitness back in April after the lockdown and the progress I’ve made in such a short time. I started off with personal training sessions with Matt who has been amazingly helpful being so flexible and supportive throughout with results showing very early on. More recently I’ve also been attending the Strongman Bootcamp on a Tuesday and the Yoga on a Wednesday with both having such a welcome atmosphere with classes differing from week to week with plenty of elements to challenge you. Couldn’t recommend Ludus enough! Big thanks to both Andy and Matt for creating such a great gym and for all your hard work!

I've been training with Andy since Dec at Ludus, so a relatively short time. But the gym, equipment and flexibility in training is perfect for me. Andy's a great PT and knows exactly where and what to push and exactly what to work on to help achieve your goals. If you don't like big crowded gyms and a friendly personal approach, this is the place to check out.
